Er meint, dass er es nicht gut findet, dass Lieder über seine Stadt, Lodz, auf deutsch geschrieben und gesungen werden, obwohl die Deutschen zwar diese Stadt mitaufgebaut (nie wiem cy to naprawde to jest co chcesz powiedziec) aber sie danach zerstört und viele polnische und jüdische Einwohner getötet haben.

Lodsch ist nicht im "Wartheland", sondern in Zentralpolen, bei Warschau. Sowieso ist "Wartheland" typisch nazistisch. Lodsch ist im ehemaligen russischen Polen; 1941-1944 "Litzmannstadt" und SS-Siedlung für Volksdeutsche zur Eindeutschung. Heute wieder eine schöne polnische Stadt. Mit Recht. Lieber wäre das alles nicht passiert. Dann hättet ihr Deutsche Breslau und Stettin und Königsberg/Pr. und Landsberg/Warthe und Gleiwitz noch gehabt!

Sorry folks, Lodsch is the German name of the city, refer wikipedia o.s. ... but the song is "born" in the 19th century during the industrial Rising of this town. This one here is only a German interpretation recorded in the 1970ies ... b.t.w. Vicky Leandros is Greek (confusing?) and has very, very long legs. ;-)

LODZ means boat in Polish , that`s the first thing, City got it`s name from little river that used to flow near it , the river was called Lodka i believe it still might be there, so please don`t try to tell anyone that the this city has german name, ok?? and i wouldn`t use wikipedia as a reliable source of reference .

Well I'm a German. We Do say "Ladsch" in German Like in English they say "Cologne" instead of "Köln" or "Munich" instead of "München" or "Nuremberg" instead of "Nürnberg". Several Places have different Names in different Languages.

Before what? This city has got allways the name Lodz, or Łódź (in polish alphabet). To tell more - the city has never been under Prussia's control more then 15 years (1793-1807).

I'm from Lodz. During Germans occupation (1939-1945) it was Litzmannstadt. In ww1 in vincity of Lodz were 2 great battles between Germany (General Litzman) and Russia. German soldiers cemetery is in Gadka Stara.
