  • How did you get the vocal shouts by the men choir? I've been looking for something like that.

  • what did you used for the crows and thunder at the begining?

  • なにこれ??

  • What software are using the plugin with?

  • The sound at 0:49, is that a sound from the East West Symphonic Orchestra Library?

  • @philibbergwerf Yes it is. Scratching FX with violins. Cool effect.

  • very very good, well done Paul = Newzealand

  • This is brilliant! A masterpiece!!!

  • Gloomy Sunday xD

  • So i'm assuming all sounds on this are from East West aside from the extra effects? Did the choir vocals and percussion come with EW Gold as well?

    thanks

    -Adam

  • How'd you do the strings at 0:50? If you did that wtih EWSOG please share how =P

  • @d0gf4c3db0j That's called a Crescendo :D pretty useful to give deep feelings :D

  • @TheMasamura112 Well I know it's a crescendo. I just don't know any EWSO gold patch that sounds like that. Do you use play?

  • @d0gf4c3db0j If you are refering to EWQL software, I Don't currently own any version/distribution of EWQL since it's very expensive and I don't have much money now, if you are refering If I play, yes I do play piano.

  • Lyrics??? Anyone??

  • Damn. Some crazy sounds. Very cool. Loved it.

  • damn thats powerfull

  • This music really reminds me of Ratchet and Clank, now I know what the composer used for Plugins :D

  • i've read that the east west choral vst's are buggy in Logic, is that true?

  • what vsts did you use

  • GREAT! I like your composition, I have only a question: which virtual instrument have you used for choirs?

  • Is there are grid function like other programs?

  • are the choirs from goliath?

  • what's that at 0.49?!

  • @darrenbkl That's called a Crescendo :D pretty useful to give deep feelings :D

  • @darrenbkl It is one of the violin samples from East West Symphonic Orchestra. It is specifically called "Violin Scratching FX".

  • Very nice! I like the complex way you compose :) But I would take maybe one instrument or one rhythm which goes through the whole piece, to connect the parts with each other.

But every composer has a different style and I defenitely love your style! :)

  • Nice Work...

  • Question about the scale run at 0:50

was that a library sample, or did you make it?

I still haven't downloaded East West, I'm debating whether to get East West or Session Strings. Or might as well get both :P am I right? lol

  • Which VST did you use to get the nature sounds (thunder, crows etc.)?

  • how do you run all that on just 4GB of ram?? do you use any other computers to run all that on your computer?

  • What VST do you use to get those organic string sounds? Im really looking for something like that to help with my productions.

  • Hey ! Just found this video ! It's pure awesomeness, you're really good at this ! Love the atmosphere sound at the beginning... Would you mind me asking what percussion preset is that at 0:25 from which software exactly? Did you actually use it from EWQL Symphonic Orchestra as you indicated or Stylus RMX maybe? Thanks :)

  • can u tell us what vst have been used for this video. sounds awesome !

  • sounds like music that could be background for mgs4 boss battle

  • Nice, I found another person that likes using nature sounds in classical compositions. :)

  • ok....and where is the music...?

  • 1:18

    It's tritone time!

  • I am an orchestra music composer as well, and its never easy to compose, I usually write 1 song from a week 'till even more than 3 weeks! It's all because we need to write beautiful and epic melodies and proper reverbs to give the chill! ;D

  • this reminds me of the ratchet & clank series' music

  • und schon hast du einen abonnenten mehr :=)

  • A really amazing composition well done man. I get it stuck in my head!

  • Good work dude :)

  • Wow, that is epic man. Definitely movie material. I can't hear the real quality. But the composition is definitely there bro. Good Work.

I could definitely hear this in Thriller Movie for sure.

  • these are just samples?

  • Nice man, whats the choir parts your using? I wish i had east west choirs they are awesome. I have EWSO gold, man its sick.

  • you can make this in one day

  • Awsome!

  • This sounds realy cool, well done! I am quite new in virtual composing and hope for some advice.

I reacently got studio one and would like to know if anyone could recomend a synth or virtuell instrument lib that isn't that expencive?

  • dude this is great ambience for games like dragon age

  • Hey !

Very good composition, i like it a lot ! :)

Just a question: From which log is the final sound ?? And your vocals ??

Thanks and good work again! :)

  • i love this music peice! can i please use it in my indie game?

  • @Ramosbs Okay. Thanks for your helpful comment.

  • @heeelga I didn't mean to be helpful in that comment. In fact, almost every comment you get isn't helpful either since tit's mostly said stuffs like : "I like it a lot!" or "Your good" Anyway, just complimenting you isn't helping you either, so you should respond the same thing you responded to me to almost every comments posted so far.

To finish, you should learn how to do the sound mixing better, but I hope you already know that, and also, you should try to add more loud haunting souds sounds

  • @heeelga How do you load these sounds in logic? please help

  • @Ramosbs Seven can do it in an hour and a half.

  • @Ramosbs Don't be a turd. The Symphonic Choirs bit in there ALONE would take even an experienced user more than three hours. This is seriously impressive work. The second half reminds me of Diablo II.

  • @Ramosbs Prove it! You have 3 days...

  • this music fits in resident evil 5

  • @JohnF30Music or God of War, I think of Hades ;)

  • how do you make that strings at 0:50?

  • @Tuomas1993 I want to know too! it was BAD ASS! loved it, goosebumbs! =P

  • Very nice......what software u used for the choir voices..????Symphonic Choir...or wat...????

  • what was that sound that started at 0:49?? And how to you make that sound??

  • Do the choir sounds come from Symphonic Orchestra?

  • Gefällt mir, tolle Arbeit!

  • hi.. which VST for the choirs?

  • hi.. which VST for the choirs?

  • What did u use to make choirs?

  • @Tuomas1993 I might be wrong but I wouldnt be surprised if he uses the choir sample library by East West Quantum Leap, seeing as he uses the orchestra samples. You can write in what you want the choir to sing! I'm getting into using the same set of samples, check out the songs on my channel coz you might like them. Only the one EWQL track up atm and its a tester, but the older demo tracks might give you an idea of what to expect in the near future, and you can always subscribe ;)

  • This was ridiculously good. Get yourself into the industry man, you have a lot of skill.

  • thats awesome do u do music commercianny for films nd shit? at 1.22 a note seems out of time a little, mite be wrong

  • I swear this sounds like it was in The Prince Of Persia Game

  • Great track. Is there other way to record the final 'piece'... i mean most people use logic etc but i don't have that, but i use Sibelius. How can i record my final tracks?

  • Gloomy, gloomy indeed. Respect.

I've used Reason to compose some stuff for fun. I also tried to create dark sounds like this, but can't really do it. Maybe I just don't have the skills.

  • @orion1611 Maybe you were just not in the right mood for this kind of music ;-).

  • Can you work with nothing but midi files, or do have to use a keyboard for this?

  • Is this with the ProXP? If so, do you know if it's possible to upgrade to that or purchase it separately?

  • Are the voices from EWQL too?

  • East West or nothing :) Great job man....Be sure and check out one of my scores....I composed in EWQL Symphonic Orchestra gold... It is entitled Rendezvous...

  • ahh.....thnx

  • what is this program?cubase?garageband?what?

  • Logic

  • @heeelga What drum pack did you use.. ones that come with orchestra strings?

  • Dude, this is freakin' amazing !

  • Veeeeeery awesome dude!

  • Were you going for a Gears of War inspiration?? That was fantastic! This should be in Gears of War III.

  • if tryed to download this program for mac but doesnt work any of you can help me with this problem

  • This fast strings really sound a lot like those, they use on Lost for creating tension. They sound great!!

  • Im thinking of buying East West Symphonic Orchestra. How strong does the computer need to be to do stuff like this? Im currently on a 2g ram macbook, so it sorta slow..

  • @ArtificialClouds um... probably if your ONLY running symphonic Orchestra and Logic/Cubase you should be ok but if you add more EWQL products to the mix you might have a problem. i'd upgrade to at LEAST 4gb of ram

  • @ArtificialClouds Okay, thanks for the info!

  • Comment removed

  • how did you do the bow scraps on the strings??? it sounds really good!!

  • t-racks is a nice plug, i have 2 ~~!!

  • Wow, you have an amazing similarity to Nox Arcana!

I think you should give them a hear (Shadow of the Raven, Blood of the Dragon and everything else, so much similarity, but so good!)

  • Where did you get that violins scratching from?

  • this is great!!! at the moment, im composing music too, i try to mix rock with orchestra its hard..

  • the part on 49 seconds is good

  • omg this is very nice :)

  • Does this program have any actual notation? Or is it all just samples and what not?

  • Yes, there is actual notation with the orchestra... Some are just samples like the violins scratching, but most of this is note-by-note

  • Thanks for answering ;-) but it's right.

  • Hint for you, start utilizing more of the velocity cure and filter cutoff mods on the NI for the marc strings and 11V Slide Effect (it'll make a huge difference!)

  • that was fantastic mate, loved it!

if you dont mind me asking, what instrument did you use for the part at 0:50 seconds?

    5/5 and subbing :D

  • It sounds like a load of violins.

  • yea. lot of violins....a tremolo style is what it sounds like. doing a slide.

  • Nice! I'm sure everybody's already told you but this is definitely video-game-accessible. You shouldn't have any trouble at all finding work in that field! Good stuff, post more!

  • It's pretty cool, but I sill can't figure out how it took you 3 weeks to make this.... I'm guessing that was 2 weeks mixing?

  • Just an hour every or every second day. That's why it took me about 3 weeks.Mixing took about 3 or 4 sessions.

  • excellent :)

  • niiceeeeeee

  • What program is this?

  • Logic Pro not sure which version though

  • excuse me, if you compose with this program, culd you make parts for an orchestra? or it's only to make sound?

  • you CAN score on Logic if thats what youre asking... but can be a little frustrating and takes some learning.

  • bro go out there and send your stuff out to game developers

  • DID THE CHOIR COME WITH PACK???

  • Symphonic Choirs doesn't come with Symphonic Orchestra, but some of the Symphonic Orchestra programs come with a couple of choir samples going "Ooh" and "Aaah" and things like that. I believe that the EastWest website says the choirs only come with Silver Complete, but I may be wrong about that.

  • 00:48 the violin tremolo/glissando was badass.

    Is this ewqlso gold?

  • Yeah thanks. This is pretty cool huh? Yes, it is EWQLSO Play.

  • I AGREE!

  • @nusua I think it's from Symphobia

  • The sampler is a lot so good, but the composition not is so good as the sampler... are you composer at so many years? if you can show me your work, I would want to hear.

  • the choirs are from EWQL Symphonic Choirs?? ... Great Job

  • I really like how you put this together. The orchestra/electronic mix is really great!

  • Thanks buddy.

  • Perfect for a game soundtrack.

  • Yeah I hope so^^. Thanks a lot.

  • I like your more abstract sounding sections. I think this might sound a bit better using sonic implants strings... I'm not really a fan of EWQL though I have it. I find that the sonic implants stuff sounds much more convincing. It might be that the EWQL samples are almost too predictable. Good over all composition.

  • why "should" I give only technical advice? Are you willing to learn more or work on base of your behaviours? If you wanna learn more you have to deal with critics and I was only pointing out some issues. Sorry they got too close to you.

    sincerely

  • doesn't sound quite like a march, does it ;o)

I work with EWQL as well. You should work out and get into more detail with the instruments though and dont use so much electronic rhythm. It's used to cover bad or insufficent orchestration most the time.

    cheers

  • you should only give technical advices, not "fix" someones taste... it shows narrowmindness.

  • Nice! This done with MIDI keyboard input? I'm looking for a good guitar to MIDI to USB setup. Thankst for the vid! -Derek

  • What "Mac" are u running all this on....Nice Job!!!!!

  • Thanks. On an iMac 24 inch, 4GB RAM and 2,66Ghz Dualcore.

  • I was debating whether or not to get this software in the collection pack.. but I just viewd a user named SynthGnosis and he made setting it up look like you had to go thru a lot.. something to do with sibillus or something, did you have to do that?

  • thats amazing it makes me want to battle LOL

  • Thanks. In fact I was thinking about some kind of battle like in Gears of War.

  • mmm i wonder you can place mp3s etc into 360 games cant you? ^_^ not an owner of this gen of consoles, so not sure X_X

    Excellent composition!

  • it would be cool if you took some game footage and synced it with this composition

  • All This With Plugins?? WOW sounds very professional..amazing movie score keep it up

  • Thanks a lot man.

  • SOOOO GOOOOOD!

  • Very nice :D Hopefully i will have ewso soon :D

  • Amazing work dude! Where did you get those shouting like choirs :O

  • damn dude this guy has like every good plugin out there: east west, omnisphere, rapture

  • Well done.

Where are these choir Samples from?

  • These are from Quantum Leap Goliath.

  • I love this, give me the creeps everytime :D

    GREAT JOB!

  • this is so sick come up with a different name tho thats too corny

  • damn this is bad fucking ass :]]

  • I'd say, it's pretty cool. You're good at this, clearly.

  • klingt in der tat sehr düster. klasse gemacht!

  • Sounds really dark. I love it. I can imagine it as something Dimmu Borgir or Carach Angren would play. You should check out my songs and let me know what you think too. \m/
