  • There's also zombina & the skeletones they have that sound in a lot of their songs

  • Yeah mister monster is influenced by doo wop especially the song Amy sue

  • Almost 50 years from this era.. When beautiful music was still generated.

  • Sucks that doo wop isn't around to much in modern music anymore. The only bands that I know of that still do this type of stuff are the horror punk ones like the misfits and mister monster.

  • They all looked happy because we were, all happy. A lot of us grew up in working class (not middle-class) families. We were lucky if we had a television (bw) and a big old fan to keep us cool in the evening. The music and movies were incredible. Simple lives; simple pleasures!!

  • @itdoesntmatter56789 love this music i agree what your saying my pops listened to a lot of music like this when i was growing, im only 25 now but i love this doo wop happy good vibe music so fun and great.almost like the good vibes come through the speaker set :D

  • great song!

  • Great music. This is coming from a person in his 20's. Nowadays you can only hear rap and hip hop nonsense on the radio. It contains nothing but the N word, and bad language that degrades people and also women. Wish such oldies would be sung again and we could hear it on the radio. I hope congress makes a law banning hip hop and rap. Wonder how that would sit with the african american population. i guess that would not be politically correct. PC will ruin this once great country.

  • @calihartley2010 Hip hop is some of the greatest music and i consider it the modern day jazz you just are listening to the radio and not hearing the less popular forms of hip hop, what i consider some of the most meaningful music being released today, message me if you would like me to share with you some.

  • @BenScarfo sure send me some. but i bet that will not be great like these oldies. I do think there are nice modern songs which are clean, but unfortunatley the media prefers selling trashy ones.

  • @calihartley2010 Glad you found it...Did you also notice that the singers - all of them - look happy?

If you can catch Public television - doo wop - you'll really start falling in love with all of the songs.

    Just the best.

  • @stellarworker Yes I do look at the doowoop shows on PBS. Those songs just make me happy. Too bad music is not like that anymore.

  • Legendary

  • doesn't get any better than this !!

  • Beautiful song, wonderful days...

  • Before or after that Sad Winter Dance Party Tour.

  • here he is doo-wopers the BEST!

  • i love this song :) we sang it in chorus this year and it sounded way cool when we sang it :) love the lyrics and they sound like me :)

  • My dad used to make fun of this song (in a cute way)... lol

  • Crimsonrose,

Maybe Dad did the recorded parody that included the chorus,

"Each Night I asked the stars without fail,

Why must I be a teenager in jail? "

These were the days of "Greasers" and "Straights."

Later we tried to "shake-up the straights."

    "Abraham, Martin & John."

Continuing thanks to Dion and the Belmonts for wonderful and useful music during my growing-up years!
