Did you ever put the cold air intake on it? I recently put one on my 2010. Love that sound it makes and when you lay into it? WOW! Almost drowns out the flowmasters. LOL
Nah, Shouldnt. I work in a construction site and in the summer all the flying dirt, etc will get inside and screw the engine up. I have to hose my engine bay down weekly. would love one though.
@Goatnce Oh wow. Yeah that would be a problem. I dont drive mine much. Had it since June and only have just over 6000 miles on it. Use my work truck for most of my needs outside of work rather than waste my gas. LOL But I kid you not. On a flat surface road at a steady 55 MPH with the air intake I was at 28.3 MPG for about 15 miles. Of course the engine dropped to 4 cylinders to but the air intake made it go from 21 MPG to the 28.3. I rarely see that thought. I lay into it alot. 420 horses. :)
you're not gonna get much drone with the tip still going out the back. take off and leave no more than a foot of tailpipe after the muffler and then it's drone
I removed the resonator's and their is some drome in the cab when you start off. Then it goes away as you are light on gas. Its nothing loud if your looking for it yah it is there but most people ahve no idea.
I myself I could careless about the drone thats what the music is for.
hey love the sound! i have an 09 also i was curious about how it sounds when the MDS kicks in. Is it less interior noise? i just hate the drone on long trips. thanks
OK believe it or not I can't find out what the stock piping diameter is. I tried to measure one of the stock tips on the inside where the pipe is and I was seeing 2.5". Do you know what the stock size is? I would think it would be 2.25, but maybe it is 2.5 . . . . . . ?
Is this the original american thunder 40 series or the delta flow 40? Do you have the exact part number?

3.5 pipes and 4 inch tips. the 4 inch tips fit the cut outs just perfect.

I have the same truck and if you don't mind, how much was your setup? Do you have the the 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet? That sounds good!
