Glee only autotunes songs that the original artist heavily implant autotune & that any voice can't look good as it is...for example, Telephone,Bills (x3), forget you,Friday, all B.Spears covers. Songs like this needed to be autotuned b/c they deliever the high energy performances that want to make u dance. They do it w/ justice, that's what's imp.

To clarify: it was my understanding those who are part of The Warblers sang on the show, tour and live performances. However, the Tufts are those who recorded the CD because it was produced in NY so they used an east coast band

Never quite understood why they hired a bunch of guys with actual musical talent and then didn't let them actually sing on the show... why bother finding people who can legitimately pull off harmonies like this and then not use it?

@Skwosher because no matter how good they sing individually, you can't always assume that they could sing in harmony and be good enough for acapella. For TV appearances this is wonderful, but in actual competition setting, they may have felt it wasn't a good enough representation, so they enlisted an ACTUAL competition group and allowed these guys to double them on the show and on the road for practical reasons.

@Skwosher also these guys don't just double the Warblers on the show, they sing the demo tracks for the boys to hear before they record in the studio, in that capacity they wouldn't be seen ordinarily, so this way they do actually get to be seen on the show doing what they do for the show, in a roundabout way.

Although these guys are amazing, they're not the real voices behind The Warblers (except Darren Criss of course).They lip sync in the show. They DO however participate in a huge amount of the covered Glee songs, doing the back ground singing. Like the "Da Da Da" part of Don't Stop Believin' :)
