He didnt cut anything. I was with neil last night, he wasnt hooked into the kite, and the tow rope snapped. The pressure ripped the kite out of his hands and he fell

Need to put a weak link on the tow rig, if the pressure gets too great it will break, release tow, before some part of wing or harness breaks, also but quick release on tow attachment to harness so pilot/rider can release if they don't like something. We do this up to about 2000 feet in the air, but with a payout winch to handle all the line. What you did was not that stupid, but just learn from those who have gone before you and recreate the wheel/deaths that have occured.
