  • is there something i can do to replace the white top part of my nes cuz theres a little crack in the plastic and im making mine look brand new so is there a place i can buy 1

  • What type of cleaning product did you use that was in the bottle?

  • you said dirty slot, funny

  • @EvilPoet85 ;)

  • what kind of games r blocked by the lockout chip?

  • @NikeThe For the most part it allows you to play Pal version games. It also lets you play the unlicensed games that did not find a way around the lockout chip like Bible Adventures by wisdom tree.

  • speaking of unlicensed games, i want to play earthbound zero (reproduction) on my PAL (european) nes, but it wont let me. do i have to disable the lockout chip to play NTSC games too?

  • @Top10maniac Well disabling the lockout chip on the NTSC systems allows PAL games to be played so I imagine it would work the other way around as well.

  • can i put the motherboard in my desktop by using an extension??????

  • @fuducker81 Honestly I have no idea. Just curious why would you want to put it into your desktop?

  • @GanglyM cus the nes board is smexyyy and due that thing is so powerful i ran mw2 on it

  • can i put the motherboard in my computer instead of putting the pin connector back on???

  • which games are typically locked out? Just curious.

  • @WaxHeadroom Well the chip was there to stop any unlicenced games but most companies found a way to bypass it, but some companies still had problems. As far as I know most of the wisdom tree games and some of the color dream games had problems and I'm sure there are quite a few that I haven't run into.

  • Thats what she said

  • I appreciate your help so much. Bought a messed up NES on eBay and installing the new 72 pin connector with your aid solved the problem!

  • Right on, glad the video helped

  • good job, thanks for sharing.

i also recommend a pencil eraser for cleaning contact. they are chep and do a great job! :)

  • could you post a video showing the disabled lockout chip plays unlicensed games after modifications, there are several other videos that say different contacts need to be pulled, I would like to know please

  • Does the lockout chip control the region coding too? Can I play my PAL games if I disable the chip?

  • @F0rKix Ok so after a bit more research it seems that with the lockout chip disabled you should be able to play a lot of the pal games on a US system though not all. Some will still have compatibility issues.

  • Hey you should do a video how to clean a SNES :) Thanks for the vid it helped alot!

  • My motherboard has a much larger chip than yours. Is this an older/newer version than yours and is the disconnect point the same?

  • I have seen a couple cases of some of the unlicensed games that he is talking bout, and on the box it says there is a date that NES put the chip in, i can't remember the exact date, but not all NES' have this chip

  • thanks. this video was sper helpful

  • This helped so much! Thanks! 5/5
