I don't think I've ever heard someone like him.

Almost all of his songs give me goosebumps and evoke immense emotion. Everything from his back story, to the raw soul he conveys in his lyrics and voice is just beauty. His music totally transcends most of what is out there today and yet he is known for "Trouble" and "Beg, Steal, or Borrow." He must be Jesus. Looks like Jesus, sounds like Jesus, so it's Jesus to me.

Ray is soulful and I am so glad that he exist but I am also glad that there are millions of others making what they want be it cheap worthless music or music from our forefathers.

There is no right answer to music. "Real" is subjective.

I attended this show. I had been listening to Ray since 2004 (Trouble). This was hands down one of the best shows I'd ever seen. If you are a Ray fan, you have to see him with the new album material!!!!

Its the morning after Ray's gig at Nottingham! and wowsers i was amazed and sat on the edge of my seat throughout! seem him twice and yeah simply better and more confident, but still love his shyness and vulnerability! the sng b4 was burn on his own and he fucked it up on the second and started again! was a funny moment > god bless ray!

just returned from seein Ray at the Lowry Manchester, seen him three times now over the last 3/4 yrs n he gets better every time. he is so much more confident in his own ability where he wud shout he now whispers n the effect is simply stunning, just sat mesmerized by his god sent voice n his song writing/guitar skills are awesome..winter birds is just beautiful n my fave right at this moment in time...thank God for Ray..

@MishaRW - Did you actually see Ray live?! Man, it hurts. I live in Canada in the middle of BF-nowhere and he hasn't come anywhere within a 24 hour driving distance of me. Now he's in Europe till spring. I'd love to see him live.

@iraqidolphin - Not sure if your aware of how massive this country is. It's cheaper for me (much cheaper) to fly from where I live to London England than it is to go to Montreal or Toronto. Lucky for me... I'm taking the initiative to drive to Missoula Montana to see Ray on June 20th. Hugely looking forward to it.
