@Mslude I SOOO hear what you're saying!!!!! Annie Lennox has such a beautiful voice, such a natural range, plus she has a bit of an attitude to match that voice. I can reckon her range of voice to Barbara Striesand, maybe Celine Dion has a close range. Willy Nelson is the only male singer that I can attribute the same natural range to. Very rare to hear such talent. I love Annie's music, but I'm not crazy about her videos. They don't seem to match up.

@TheBrendadale I agree with your comment. Except about the videos not matching up with the music. There's a surreal twist to them because the songs often are about more complex emotions. So a woman let's you see herself "raw" then putting on garish makeup and clothes then saying "you don't know how I feel" after she's effectively let you see the layers she uses to disguise herself from the world. That's a statement.

@phil30k OK, having listened again to the many songs I have of Annie Lennox, I'm starting to listen a little closer to her lyrics. And I've checked out more of her videos on youtube. I have to agree that after watching the videos (instead of just listening to her songs) this lady is very complex. She portrays these grandiose guises in the videos, but just listen to her words. I think under all the bluff and bluster, she's a lady in pain. BUT, people in pain are often the greatest artists!
