@NHLArchive As a fellow play-by-play announcer, Rick Jeanneret is the best the game has ever seen. CERTAINLY the best by today's standards. Calling him a blind homer only indicates that you haven't watched enough games to know that he is very objective with his analysis. He calls an exciting game, both ways, but yes, he is a Sabres fan who is employed by the Sabres organization. He is not, however, a disillusioned fanatic.

That being said, I'm happy that you find him entertaining.

@jackbruce He is a homer, and in fact all announcers are, the Stars announcers weren't very biased for a long time but this year it seems they have also gone the way of homerism. If you can't tell the overt homerism of Jeaneret you are delusional. I watch plenty of him, and there frequently is bickering over injustice to the Sabres players. On top of that he condones the actions of Kaleta.

@NHLArchive the reason why he is a homer is because he is the sabres announcer, he doesn't do national games, he is a homer because he is the SABRES play-by-play announcer- and he has been since 1971, thats why he may sound biased or bicker over the sabres players because the broadcast is for the majority of buffolo sabres fans to watch, not the whole nation i.e, games on vs. or games on NBC,

@NHLArchive- in the second feed its joe bennati, and he is the CSN Washingtons annoucner so when ever the capitals score he needs to sound enthusiastic but if an opponent scores like the sabres, he needs to sound dissappointed because since its CSN washington, the majority of the viewers are going to be in support of the washington caps, BUT benatti does VS too, and on a national network like VS. he cant be biased and favor one team over the other, becuz thr are viewers from all over the u.s
