More like rude and forceful than mean. I went to the Jim Henson exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum back in August. There was a sign that said "no photography allowed," so I put the lens cap on my camera. Walked into the exhibit and was immediately stopped by some guards. They said "no photos," I told and showed them that the lens cap was on the camera, and they walked me outside the exhibit and made me put my camera in its bag. Afterwards, they allowed me in, but followed me until I left.
