i wrestle lehmann my junior year at the Bismarck Rotary and was beating him 15-2. and in the third period he used that same move to beat me. i hate it but he does do that move really well.

I am absoutely amazed at the sportsmanship in the video showed by Storely. He is the definetion of losing with class. He got pinned, he didn't throw his headgear, he didn't break down doors, he didn't even refuse to shake his hand. He even applauded him at the awards ceremony. I wish more athletes were more like Storley.

Davey Hofer Sully Buttes Wrestler(1976) Best South Dakota Wrestler All Time. Ive seen the scherer brothers, lincoln mcilravey, kirk wallman, randy lewis all wrestle. And i swear to God. For pure ability, savvy,no one was better. He was only a 3 time undefeated wrestler soph thru senior but he was unbelievable.

@victorcrownvictor I heard that when Hofer went to SDSU his freshman year, he couldnt make the team, and actually was 3rd string behind a couple of South Dakota class A freshman wrestlers. Heard he was looking at wrestling at now extinct Huron College in Huron SD, but I believe he retired instead. Just sayin'

@sumbluzman davey had issues in his life after high school and his wrestling after high school was not happening for several reasons but............as a south dakota high school wrestler, in my opinion, he was the best. He never made mistakes and his technique was pure and without flaw. The closest ive seen yet as far as fundamental soundness would be logan storley. And i would have said that storley would be classified superior by most but...he was beatable. davey wasnt.
