My fhater, many of my uncles and my cousins were all Peshmarga. They fought next to mama Risha against the ba'ath. Unfortunately also lost many family members. I use to hear this song on the radio when I was a kidd. Me and my older sishter fled to Europe when I was very young. But I will never forget where I am from: Kurdistan (Kirkuk)! Unfortunately, my Kurdish is also very bad but I will always be proud for being a Kurd and proud of my family memebers who were peshmarga!

My father was a peshmerga, he fought for 18 years against the regime of Saddam Hussein in South-Kurdistan, known as KRG. He was taken prison for 1 year, but he didn't tell them anything under their torture! He said he selled vegetables and they believed him after 1 year of torture and 1 piece of bread and little bit of water a day. A lot of other man didn't survive that. He fought with Mame Risha, a Peshmerga legend!
