Hey guys... great tutorial! For my next film i'm thinking of doing a rain scene at night. I don't think i'll have enough funding to make a "rain machine" large enough to fit the entire frame (roughly 20 feet wide). Is there a way to only make rain above the subjects and then fill in the rest of the frame using special effects?

I did test out this build and it was very awesome, even though it is quite dangerous to be under the rainmachine at the moment(heavy wood, nails and a very bad support). Im going to build a new one soon. It's gonna be lighter, smoother and bigger with a diameter of 2 meters. a good way to keep the rain from looking so fake is spray the water upwards and let it fall back to the ground naturally, it doesn't seem like much but trust me its that little bit that makes the difference
