it makes perfect sense just have a red card and a blue card, but they have to be the same. Put them on the botomm so know one can see it. Then tell someone to pick a card. Then cut the deck and put the card right over the red card. Then Spread the cards out revealing the red card. and under it is there picked card so double lift and they will be amazed. Then put the red card down . Then tell them to do it again and the red card has magically changed

You pick a card from the deck at random. The magician shuffles the deck, you place the card inside. He then spreads out the cards, and shows a red card.

He then turns over this red card, showing that its the card you picked. He puts it on the deck, and shows clearly that he puts the red card, your chosen card that has been changed red, onto the table. He then shuffles the deck and shows you a new card.

He turns over the red card to show it was not the original card you picked, but the 2nd.
