Watching the video as a German, I have to say, that the beginning and the end is a bit weird. In Germany, the swastika is a forbidden symbol and you only hear Hitlers voice in history lessons and in documentaries.

It is kind of creeping me out a bit, seeing a swastika on HD on my monitor. Just doesnt feel right. xD

Anyway... Awesome video. I just recently changed from the original MoW to Assault Squad and I have to say, I love it.

No one in mumble seems to be playing men of war any more, or at least by the time I get on, and I don't want to play with random people and have no voice communication.

The sandbags that get built around HMGs and Mortar positions tend to be a bit sturdier than infantry sandbags, but AP rounds can punch right through and take out the gun. An armored car with a cannon or an auto-cannon is a pretty hard counter to dug in MGs and Mortars, and you can always run them over too. It's good you pointed out the value of Infantry Hero Units. Since Germany needs a lot of MP to get their tanks out, getting quality infantry units without spending any MP is a pretty big deal.

Absolutely. Being able to bank for your heavy armor while at the same time having access to some very good infantry helps a lot. As for autocannons being the hard counter for sandbag emplacements, you're quite right and I'll be demonstrating that in my next video which should be up in the next 6 hours :)

@MrGuy84 one of the best feelings in this game are running over enemy mortars and hmgs and stealing enemy howitzers and vehicals. if you're the enemy then it's definately byfar the worst feeling to get something stolen or run over. ;D

i used the hotkey for grenades which is F1 by default. hotkeys are very important in the game... especially when you're up against good players, speed becomes such a big issue.

Great video Saied! One nitpick though, the FlaK 88 isn't a field gun, it's a dual AA/AT gun. There were only 2 common field guns in WWII, the British 5.5 inch and the US 155mm "Long Tom".

@bh5496 Not really. German AA guns weren't too effective, FlaK shells especially, weren't very potent weapons. FlaK was only frightening for the amateur crews, the veterans knew the real thing to be feared was the Me 262, and to a lesser extent the Fw 190s.

I love Men of War Assault Squad and you do very high quality commentary. It is also fun to just watch how fast paced (mainly camera movement) this game is because you really don't notice when playing. Your point on infantry heroes is well taken and I will probally start experimenting with them a bit more.
