Hi... milburn is maybe my favorite band.. im from costa rica.. and is so har to find music of them.. i have all their cds but i have to download them.. but i just absolutly adore them.. its not a matter of comparation but for my they are the best.. i really love indie.. jaja.. i think that my dream right now is go to england and get the opportunity to listen to all this great bands.. and hope that milburn get back together
@jake300000 its reminiscent of the trials muse had to go through with the r word. and they do share a similar sound but thats because its so fantastic and it takes nothing away from the music
What a great band, its a shame they were so underated. But i appreciate they were just playing music to play it , not get big. They never toured the states though :(
best band ive ever found, the NME is to blame as a scene has to be made with every single band or act that comes out of it. with milburn its exactly what they were about "no scene nonsense", and with an ignorant music fan base of today milburn couldnt be recognised as its belived that if the NME dont like it then the countrys bound not to like it either. such a shame.
Message to the NME: get into your heads that your a comic for music fans, with now decent coverage.
this just shows how bands are underated. Milburn were a class act from sheffield theyhad potential. People like Pete Doherty who is only famous for his drug life not his music have found himself in the music industry quite easy. People like him should be replaced like bands like these and bands who are just coming up. This song must have ben about splitting and growing up without each other, up saying " didnt we do them together" meaning how hard they tried.
Totally under-rated band, this lot. Went to see them in Sheffield and Loughborough. Amazing. Says everything about todays music industry that a band this good get sidelined in favour of more commercial acts. Shame.
milburn best band ever

russianfantastico 2 years ago 2
It was in answer to a question which now escapes me. I thought it had it's value out of context, and I stand by that actually.

do you know about arctic monkeys??
winarc505 2 years ago
I love Milburn. And I love Arctic Monkeys.
But why do people constantly need to compare them?
They're both totally different, and totally exceiptional. And they're from Yorkshire.
That's where the comparisons end.
