thanks! i do what ed did - Marshall amp and turn all the knobs all the way. On this song, and most other 1984 songs, however, he cut down on the bass.

Compared to previous albums, Eddie's bass on his amplifier is lower. Compare "Panama" to "Runnin' With the Devil." There's a video on Youtube that just has Eddie's guitar track on "Hot for Teacher," and there's definitely less bass.

the fender ones have a special hole. his uses a tone hole.

very good observation. It's true that my volume knob is in the wrong hole in this video. I had just gotten done repairing a few things and accidentally put it through the wrong one. It was such a hassle to replace it so I never did haha.
