When I press the sleep button for 3 seconds it turns on, then I hold the home and sleep button it turns off, and I do the 3rd step it like erases everything and I can't even turn the phone back on. Then I connect usb and it asks me to restore my iPhone, why is that?

can someone please explain to me why this works on the 3rd gen ipod but not the 2nd gen mc model? don't they have the same bootrom? they are both MC models, and the 2g mc doesn't work with redsn0w niether does the 3rd gen. i know the 3rd gen has different hardware for speed and graphics, but don't tehy still have the same botrom?

Hey I have an iPhone4 FW4.1. I have a pas as you go at&T sim card. I bought the sim card online and activated at home. My iPhone was never jailbroken. Will Greenpois0n mess up my sim card making my not able to call and receive calls?
