  • My savage is just standing here for already 2 years but i've never hit the dirt...

But on the other hand, selling it in good condition for half the price isnt a smart choice either :(

  • Any Idea why my wheels are spinning real fast when I started my engine for the 1st time? Servo looks good, carburator is closed. But the wheels are spinning on idle.

  • @ReaZoN888 your low speed is to lean

  • dont judge me but i dont own one of these and am thinkig about getting one not this model but something like a traxxas jato, how do you know when the break in is over?

  • @codycrowston it will come with break in instructions or u can look them up on the internet and it will tell u how many tanks and exactly wat to do on each tank

  • the engine breakin proces takes only 5 tankts not 11 waste of feul..

  • @soverato3 no, engine break in can take from 8 tanks to 2 gallons if the engine is persistent, defected engins made from the CNC factorys have extra compression, either deal with it and spend more fuel, or wait another few to get a non defective engine. mine took 2 gallons, the more the compression, the better. comprende? lol

  • @hypa7mach28 I only did 5 and i bet my still runs as good or even better.

  • @soverato3 you my friend aparently know nothing of these engines...my nova is around 1 1/2 gallons and it still has power to be attained...and is still not fully broken in...though for a savage I would just run it...and in part I would agree with you...

  • damn i only did 6 tanks but tht was 7 months ago and i am running fine iv hit about 48 mph

  • wow 11 tank to break in?

  • sweeet!

  • thats a nice truck how much was it

  • cost me £270 being the kit with an engine, electric and everything else to get it running was up to 400/450, awsome truck man, highley reccomended

  • where did you get it for 270?

  • @442paul ages ago mate, back when prices were low from modelsport, have a lok at the prices now, i could of made a fucken decent profit of it haha

  • @hypa7mach28

    thnx,

now on modelsport there £380 :o

  • @442paul

    np lol

yeah they bumped out the prices alot caus of VAT and also the importing prices gone up aswell, so basiccly we gotta pay so much more than we used to :( but id still say the price is worth it, very good truck dude

  • @hypa7mach28

yeah there great my uncle got a savage .21

and the only parts he broke where the

    diffs.

but that didn't stop him from spending 1k

    on hop ups lol

  • @442paul haha yeah very reliable trucks dude, the diffs are more improved on the SS i think its the steel geared and steel cuped ones,

  • lol ure breaking it in and tuning it at the same time lol????

  • nah running it very rich, slowly tuning, slapped 2 gallons through it at rich settings ( break in settings even ) and still no compression change either, took it to HPI and they say i broke it in perfectly, just dont understand why the bitch wouldnt hold a temp or a tune, everything was checked over by me and the HPI staff, nothing wrong with it, soon came to point it was high compression.

  • Does anyone knows HPI K4.6 is better or OS MAX 30VG for Savage X ?

  • OS MAX its better quality and will have more power and torque

  • and by the way, why don't you take the of glow-starter from the engine

  • caus its freezing when i take the glowstarter off it stalls best to keep it on for a bit. and i did take it off

  • try to pull a little bit longer??!

  • if i do so the pullstart will get damaged its always short quick pulls

  • i swear break in is 4 or 5 tanks

  • i thought so too until people told me of their experience with big blocks some took 20 some took 40 lol mine took 23 and now im gonna bash it shitlles lol

  • yeah, the instructions say only 5-8 tanks, but i mean a nitro engine is always breaking its self in for up to 2 gallons!

  • u fucking idiot. u cannot tell if a engine is broken in properly untill it comes to how long it lasts... i have a lrp.28 and it still has the same compression that it had when i got it, let me remind you this was was about 60-80L ago... and its perfect... infact i never did a breakin with my HPI k4.6 in my SS 4.6 and it lasted 3 years... and still has ALOT of power...

  • mind the language, and yepp i know that , HPI had the same veiws as me i didnt randomly shout out that the engine has lots of compression THEY told me, no air leaks, fuel was perfectly in check, temps was at optimal peak for the k4.6,THEY said it was a compression problem, the sleeve and piston was not milled out properly , THEY were the ones who told me that. and keep the foul language off my videos, and keep the cussing to yourself, nice one mate.

  • so what your trying to say is you got a awkward engine? they are called short life engines.

  • again, once i sent it back the second time, they said it was perfectly broken in, after 2/3 gallons of course, anyways, doesnt matter , the problem is in someone elses hands now, she's been sold off =[

  • nice vid :) , wish my sav had tht much compression .... I killed my 3,5 in 4 months lol . still waiting to get a new motor :(

  • wow 4 months lol i sent this engine off to hpi in derbyshire and they checked it ouver andsaid iv broken it perfectly they were amazed so i took that in for credit lol but it was an airleak that caused it to run lean now im just finisheing off tuning thx 4 da comment m8 =D

  • nice vid.

its begging to get dirty tho!!! :D

  • yup lol just how it should be when runing but gleaming clean when im not running it lol after every days worth of bashing i always strip down the truck to keep it clean on the out side and check the diffs and tranny to make sure its cean on the inside lol

  • sounds healthy

    keep it nice and clean

    cheer

  • i will do ^^ cheers m8 thx for the nice comment

  • how do you tell when the one ways gone then i can atualy spin my flywheen both ways (With effort) i think mine has gone but im not to bothered... as long as i can start the engine without to much effort

should i be able to spin the flywheel both ways and sometimes my pull start slips a little is this normal? thanks m8

  • your pull starter is on its way out and dont turn your flywheel clock wise as it will damage your pull starter one way should be fine probably too oily give it a clean and put some wd40 on it after keep on rcing m8 ^^

  • thanks

  • Good news!

I said screw the pull start for the break in proccess and i went with rorto start =( really it not that bad!

Ill be posting videos tomorrow after work stay tune !

After break in im chaging it back to pull start though !

  • oh kwl man yeah for break in roto start is best even though it may be pain to start but i always prefer pullstart i dont like carrying around extra things its annoying lol

  • ɹɹɹɹɹƃ

ɐɹәɯɐɔ әႡʇ ɹoɟ ʎɹƃunႡ s! әƃɐʌɐs ɹnoʎ

  • omg what? how u do that lol

  • haha yeap it is its pretty mad lol so it took it out on the camera but its ok just minor scratchs on the case

  • nice mate but before you go out when you've got some more fuel put the engine protector roll cage thingy on lol.

    good vid though

    keep em up

    5*

  • yup defo lol even though it only protects the engine its gonna be good for rolling over lol

thanks for the comment and rate

  • nice videos man. and nice back yard haha. 5*

  • hey man thanks for rating and commentin jacob ^^

  • Sweet!

Good new i payed $10 more and they shipped me a new pull start!

    Comes Saturday!

$35 for a dam pull start xD

  • wow! $35 !! thats a bump man if you convert that its like £20!! usually over here they are £14-£16 at least you can get break in done tho

  • Nice man

Whats the dial thingy on the top of your glow starter??

    good video man 5*'s

it's got to be annoying in that space!!

    =)

  • cheers for commenting m8 yeah its waay to small for the size and handeling of this truck lol thx for the rate

that is a glow meter which lets me know if the glow plug is good enough to start up the engine. ( red means no go- green mean off ya go !! )

  • ok thanks!!

  • i would love to race that beast wat is that thing on top ov your glow plug anywat gr8 vid bud

  • cheers for commenting m8 oh that thing on my glowstarter is called a glow meter. it basicly lets you know if the glow plug is good enough to start up the engine or not ( red means no go- green means off ya go! )

  • Dam i wanna live in UK!

    lol!

i " KNOW " the people at the hobby shop so i kinda get it for half price xD

  • lol same here i worked at my LHS but they had to close down it sux

  • Shitty buzz

  • yup u sed it.. not even that my m8s who were also into the hobby quit it because my LHS moved..bunch of wet girls man they cant survive without the spares lol i just have to get my dad to drive a bit further and i can get even cheaper and better quality fuel like byrons so im not the one to complain lol
