  • Hi MrExcel, great stuff you're showing, did help me already several times.

I'm using Excel 2003 for and have a strange issue when I create my formulas like shown in this video.

    I have products 1,2,3... with each different "batches" a, b, c, d, .

So for each product I have multiple batches.

My formular works, except for some lines, although the "materials" are in my list.

    Line 1 is ok, 2 is not, 3&4 are, 5 not, 6=ok....?

Any idea what can cause this?

    Thx in advance

    an old and hungry student.

  • The comment section of YouTube is not good for dialogs to get people Excel solutions. Try posting your question to THE best Excel question site:

    mrexcel[dot]com/forum

This is a public forum with 100s of Excel experts. To get help you must 1) State question clearly, 2) Say how your data is set up 3) Say what your expected result is. For example, from your comment it is unclear to me what exactly you are doing. After you post, send me post link to excelisfun at gmail and I will take a look.

  • Remember, when you post to this site, show how data is set up, what range the data is in, what formula you are using, what cells the formulas are in, and be sure to give an example including what the expected result is. I look forward to your e mail with the link to your post at:

  • I have just recently posted to Mr Excel as before and for some reason they do not show up anywhere that I can find. I know of no reason why they do not post once I click the "POST" button.

  • I do not know how to help with that one.

    --excelisfun (not Mr Excel)

  • Mr excel, I use windows xp excel 2007, Macro/VBA via a "calculate" button.

I want the VBA/macro to find the current/today date in column B & C, then with that selection in column D find all "CLOSED" text, now knowing all the rows with "CLOSED" in today date selection upon clicking the "calcualte" button sum-up/calculate values from columns E, F & G.

    Column E results to cell K13, column F to cell K12 & column G to cell K15

Then to start over agian with the newest date/next day date.

  • @ExcelIsFun thank you mike

  • You are welcome!

  • Thanks, I adapted this to search for parts of names in a Directory list. Now when I search for Smith or Jones, I get all Smith Jr. or Jones Sr. Or I can merely search for all "JO" and get Johnson's and Jones... krn14242
