  • Hopefully you all realize that you'll not be able to use these GUI tools administering Linux in the enterprise about 99% of the time. If you ever hope to work in a large scale enterprise environment, you should get used to using the command line for most tasks!

  • yeah why use all this gui nonsense. apt get install, yum, rdp anything is better than clicking around and dismissing annoying pop up windows.

  • PCLinuxOS just do a search for LAMP if you have PCLinuxOS KDE GNOME any PCLinuxOS. thats why PCLinuxOS Rocks

  • Change the port on what part? The simple answer is yes, but I will caution you that every time I've changed the port on my mysql server, some scripts don't adapt very well and often result in errors when trying to connect.

    I have tutorials on my website, which is listed in the comments section of this video on how to run apache and mysql on different ports.
