this is slightly different from real life: in real life, the marines side would be knights on top of diesel-powered rooks, and the other side would be nothing but pawns, some of which were just trying to go to the market to buy fruit
If you like the music in this video, you may like "O Fortuna". Search for it here. Maybe even try Nightwish while they had Tarja as a singer... but it's a stretch.
i heard that this song was taken from Carmina Burana carl orff, but I downloaded all of the songs from that performance and couldn't hear this melody in any of the songs... ehh. Do you know what the exact name is?
As far as I know, this melody was created specifically for this Marine commercial. I was just pointing that the "epic feeling" of this music can be found in other music.
i remember seeing this comercial when i was like 6 and thinking "holy s*** thats awesome", my dad was stationed in Ft. Hood and i asked him about "the Marines" (himself being Army) he said they were the best, 13 years later i'm wondering why my suit of armor is tan colored instead of a sword i've got a 240G and none of the enemy come out into the open like on the chess board in a little country staring with "I" LOL.
The music was made specifically for the commercial. I saw a discussion ona forum dedicated to commericals- apparently some guy got in contact with the marines Ad agency, and they told him this.
