My house was picked to be a Neilsen family house to do TV ratings. They hooked up a ton of monitoring equipment to two of my TVs and my laptop computer and told me I would get $500 every six months and that I could participate in the program for up to two years. I just got my first 6-months check. It was for only $75! I just got off the phone with the local rep who basically said that I must have misunderstood something and that they don't pay that much. I didn't misunderstand anything....
This is awful. I came here to learn how Nielsen ratings help businesses actually determine the value they are receiving for their advertising and instead I was inundated with a bunch of meaningless corporate rhetoric and buzzwords. I want to be able to break down Nielsen ratings to understand them from a statistical point of view. The fact that you a labeling this video as education for the future is a tacit acknowledgement that in fact you are suffering from the possibility that the future d
You guys really need to take volunteers choosing a few hundred people at random to represent the millions is out dated and obsolete I hope you are guys are taking the appropriate steps and actions to improve and to get more accurate information. Internet measuring is great start but the shear amount of people being metered right now is just way to small to be accurate.
