The goose-step was invented by the Prussians, who call it Stechschritt. It's been adopted by many other nations (including Russia), but often with variations.
BTW, during the Sino-Japanese War, the CCP and the KMT ended up fighting as allies. The Germans provided a lot of advisors to the KMT, so I won't be surprised some of the influence rubbed off during that war.

If the German Army the Bundeswehr would use their Tradition in fully Procedure and the Gosse Step again as in the Prussian Tradition based the Germans would show who has the best Perfomance at all.but many People think the Goose Step is from the Nazis. And also about a zillion men of which you can choose a couple of million that are of the same height. :) For same height means equal length of step. :) But this just makes the lines to be straight at all times. Synchronization does take a lot of practice and can't be acquired by "cheating". So I give them that: they sure did practice to perfection. :)

The amount of discipline and training that entire formation (and the video only showed a small bit) would have taken...jeez. The US Army wouldn't even be able to field a parade that big, much less actually pull it off with that amount of precision.
