  • Does anyone know what episode and season this is from?

  • LOL at all these retards arguing just because of one Futurama clip. Seriously, get a life or something.

  • TOUCHED BY HIS NOODLEY APPENDAGE!

  • can all of yall just stop fighting and just tell me the god damn episode name? sheesh

  • YE-

  • Ironic how the satire creature created to mock religion is being used for religious promotion.

  • wasn't this from south park also?

  • the FSM doesnt talk like that, nor does He get upset at other's beliefs, He is "not that vain"

  • Evolution is only a theory. Just like gravity. If you don't like it, jump off a bridge.

  • Flu virus.....im done here

  • We didn't evolve FROM monkeys, we have a common ancestor -_-'

  • It won't be long before SOPA and PIPA remove this vid.

  • As a highly religious Christian who doesn't believe in evolution...

    This episode was hilarious.

  • @uknownada Would you like to know about evolution so that you could believe in it? Cause if you don't believe it then you have probably been lied to about it.

  • @TheAnubisDrake I probably have been lied about it. But you know...I don't care.

I don't believe in it, but I also don't believe it's not impossible. God probably made a million people or a million micro-organisms that would eventually evolve into man.

But you know...I don't care. If it happened, it happened a million years ago and it won't make much of a difference again in another million years. I don't see why it should concern me.

  • @uknownada Being right about a topic is why it should concern you. It's nothing to be proud of walking around flaunting ignorance.

  • @TheAnubisDrake I have an opinion, and I'm not shunning that other opinion off.

    How is that ignorance?

  • @uknownada You are shunning that other opinion off though. I asked you if you would like to learn about it and you said "I don't care". That's not only ignorance but willful ignorance.

I'm offering to take some time out of my life to help you understand something is very important to all of us (through medical science, biology and several other sciences) and affects our lives and decisions on a daily basis.

Then your answer is no, I don't care.

  • @TheAnubisDrake It's not that I don't care about learning it. It's just that I don't care about it in general. I don't care which is or isn't true. I'm here. I don't care HOW I got here, I don't care WHY I'm here, all I know is that I AM here.

Learning what happened a million years ago isn't going to affect my life, because I wasn't there. I'm concerned about what's happening NOW, than what happened THEN.

We evolved. Fine. GET OVER IT.

  • @uknownada lol, it does affect you. It's not something that happened millions of years ago. It's happening now. All around and inside you.

However unlike door to door Christians I know when to quit. Have a good day and enjoy your life.

    Peace.

  • @TheAnubisDrake Well, thank you for not bitching, and for slowly removing your beliefs after putting it in my mouth. You didn't quite shove, but you were slowly feeding.

I said I don't care, and you remove it.

So thank you, you're one of the few atheists I've ever met who respect-kind of.

  • @TheAnubisDrake And you know...your post reminds me of those Christians who go door-to-door taking their time out of their lives to help you understand something very important to them.

  • @TheAnubisDrake And sorry, I made an error in the comment.

I meant "I don't believe it IS impossible".

Also, I don't care if I'm right or wrong. I respect other's beliefs if they respect mine. I'm not trying to be right, I'm not trying to prove anybody wrong. I'm not shoving my beliefs down anybody's throats and I'm not stereotyping anybody for their beliefs.

People just need to grow a pair and learn there are people who will disagree, and they're never going away.

  • @uknownada They would "go way" in that they would stop being disagreeing if they took the time to learn about it.

    :D

  • LOL my science teacher quoted this

  • From the words of the great Neutral President...

I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

  • I have so much fun when my christian friend comes round and this comes on!

  • Stan: couldn't evolution be the awnser of how but not why?

    Farnsworth: SHUT UP!!

  • I have no religious affiliation. Waste of time imo.

  • i like how a lot of atheist tried to drag electricpraise into a debate. its ironic cuz my view is that atheist live to debate and belittle anybody with a different opinion.

  • @LAD170 If rain is falling from above it is only logical to 'belittle' anybody with a different opinion breeding into another. Rain, after all, falls from above.

  • @DecadentSympozium your logic makes no sense. its 100% clear that rain falls from above. however there are bits and pieces that can prove and disprove whether God is real. it all depends on which side you believe the most. and no, just because you pick what you call the most "logical" side doesnt automatically make you right. and of course would agree that belittling people is ok. typically atheist thinking his better than everyone else over an opinion.

  • Ramen...

  • Evolution and creationism are both impossible to *prove*, but the difference is that there is a great deal of compelling evidence for evolution. There is not, and never can be, evidence for creationism. Further, creationism is tied to religion- no matter what disingenuous language it's cloaked in to try to shoehorn it into science class. Those pushing it ALWAYS have a vested interest, whereas evolution is just science, with no such vested interests, and does not mandate you reject god.

  • @N1te5hade

Absolutely agree. Creationism is the idea of the non physical world as Evolution is purely physical. You cannot find proof, other than miracles, from a non-physical belief, and that doesn't mean you reject it entirely. Evolution for humans is far from being completed, we're in the primary stages, and can never be a case against religion in the slightest, at least not now. You'd have to find the missing link before the "homo-" chain, and before that, and before that..

  • @777777sevens The missing link is a dishonest concept brought forth by creation proponents in attempts to make evolution "sound" like it isn't feasible. Evolution happens too slowly for there to be a single "missing link" because EVERY generation of creatures is a part of an evolutionary lineage. It follows then that EVERY generation that hasn't been found yet is a "missing link", thus rendering your dishonest concept of it and ALL concepts of it moot.

  • @LucasI3434 the rate of evolution is actually different for each species, i heard of experiments in some high schools where they are doing experiments on evolution with fruit flies because of how short their life span is, and thus can see changes with in a few months. so really, evolution is actually provable science.

  • @483091 I know it's provable. We've seen it happen. I was simply stating that to propose the "missing link" concept is disingenuous because every generation is a "link" to the next.

  • The first two pages of this comment section are the exact opposite of any other video that so much as mentions the idea of evolution. It's beautiful.

  • YE-

  • You know what I believe in?

    Futurama.

  • SHUT UP WITH THE RELIGIOUS ARGUMENTS AND WATCH THE CLIP!!! ITS A CARTOON, NOT REAL LIFE!!!!

  • I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

  • @MaleficDan If I die because of all these debators, tell my wife "Hello."

  • "Ye-" The End

I hate it when that happens.

  • Internet debates are like the paralympics: even if you we win you still are retarded.

  • @SmashingGreen your analogy is grossly inaccurate. "Even if you win, your still lame" would make much more sense.

  • I was doing some buddhist meditating the other day and had a flash to my previous life days as a filthy monkey man....homo-habrewlis I think I was. My name was eee-aaweh. My favorite food was grass and smoke. I loved inhaling that funky smoke. I remembered one day I was trying to catch some food, but it alive and running so I gave up and ate some more grass and funky smoke.

  • @qijino1236 Damn Buddhists, with your meditation, and psychology, and whatnot. I tell'ya, if all the gat'dang china-men were just educated in Christian like my ancestors i tell'ya h'wat, Asia'd be a gat'dang honorable country.

  • the bottom of the Mariana trench.

  • E=mc2 + E = where did E come from before the big bang is amazing mystery is good it makes life interesting harry potter was a mystery book science is not done some of it is still a mystery this mystery is going to be solved so keep investigating the mystery without belief and keep believing in the hope of the mystery by doing crazy things like going to a church or or a mosque or an atheism lecture or a physics lecture or a star trek convention or an underwater buddhist meditation session at

  • YEH!

  • Ramen

  • This video was cut just a moment too soon

  • PASTAFARIANISM.

  • HEY, PROFESSOR, I'M A FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER. YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVE I'M DESCENDED FROM SOME FLIGHTLESS MANACOTTI?

    NYET!!

well, i guess they could agree on something....

  • The problem with arguing about this is that a lot of creationists don't fully understand evolution. I'm not generalising, just speaking from my own personal experience.

  • @BlackholeYT11 alot of creationist dont fully understand there particular version of creationism either also not generalizing thats just my expierience some creationist are acutally very intelligent although it baffles me how an intelligent person could believe such nonsense

  • @BlackholeYT11 I totally agree bro.

When you hear rampant stupidity like "it's just a theory" or "why are there still monkeys" it makes you

    A) wonder if these people went to school

    B) contemplate suicide

  • @GeneralMontague Sometimes when I am tired of trying to talk sense into creationists, and watch videos about how they try to destroy our civilization (by stopping proper education, indoctrinating children, denying global warming etc) I can completely agree with the Professor "I don't want to live on this planet anymore"

  • Spaghettifarian~

  • @Digiscat Pastafarian

  • @PorridgeStall spaghettifarian. A branch of pastafarians. Spaghettifarian.

  • @Digiscat Aah, I see! Thanks for enlightening me.

  • a test, this is ...

  • @ololh4xx

    Success!

  • Its too bad evolution skipped over teaching atheists to respect other peoples religions/cultures.

  • @rujikin Atheists respect people, not ideologies. It's your "other religious/cultural peoples'" who have no respect for sentient life, truth. Atheists respect people too much to avoid offending them as if they were a bunch of retards or uncontrollable animals. The day we stop drawing Muhammad because "The Muslims will be violent and kill", is the day society characterizes the religious as mentally deficient animals. I think there is actual human intelligence stifled under the shit of religion.

  • @badblueman Very well put.

  • Comment removed

  • Wasn't it Richard Dawkins who just made up the flying spaghetti monster on the spot in a book or conversation somewhere, wow, look how far it's gone. Ramen brothers.

  • @peteq1972 No it wasn't Richard Dawkins. It was a student in protest of the Intelligent design being taught in schools. He demanded his ID theory of FSM to be taught too.

  • @badblueman Yeah, but i thought he (Bobby Henderson) got the idea from Dawkins, and took it further, i've seen Dawkins saying "There's now a church of the flying spaghetti monster" and never knew anyone would take it that far just from his mention of it, Dawkins is quite taken back by it all, lol.

  • Haha, I bet 95% of the people who watched this on cable had no idea who the flying spaghetti monster was.

  • @Demonyk1 Those who follow are self righteous jerks who belittle people's right to believe in whatever higher power they choose, no matter how nonsensical.

  • YE-!

  • Does everyone realize that this futurama episode made fun of BOTH evolution and creation? no of course not, you only see the opposite side being made fun of . Pfft.

  • @GermanConquistador08 Yes but evolution is still right

  • @weswii In the sense that natural selection and the resulting speciation is right, but the rest is completel bollacks.

  • @GermanConquistador08

@weswii Woah woah woah!!! No need for ANOTHER argument on youtube. Take it to the inbox, will ya?

  • @boomboombeast Might be for the best

  • Lol Watching creationists and evolutionists argue is like watching a hamster on a wheel, it never goes anywhere

  • @Electricpraise777 True. And it will always be that way.

Atleast until Jesus shows up to slap the Evolutionists, or when we see a monkey super-evolve into a human.

  • @XxBakerxX72 Humans are monkeys.

  • @Electricpraise777 Actually it's mre like watching plate tectonic movements. You can't see it, but it actually goes somewhere extremely slowly.

  • @Electricpraise777 THANK YOU! Really yes thank you because my neighbor is a creationist and I"m an evolutionist and I don't want to debate about it but he won't drop it! I'm willing to accept that he has a different view but he just keeps trying to convert me so it ins't just a hamster on a wheel it's the one's who insist on arguing that are the hamster trying to prove something I just want to be left alone in the tube thingy and he keeps squeaking that wheel.

  • @Gam3Junkie7 I'm a creationist (you can probably assume that by my screen name), but I'm not biased towards my views. I believe everyone has a right to their own views, and each side has very intelligent opinions. In the long run, I find reason to believe in creation, but I have no interest in forcing it on on people or getting into heated debates over it. It's like I said, it doesn't go anywhere. So good luck with your neighbor man, he has no right to be forcing his beliefs on you.

  • @Electricpraise777 Thank you, it is nice to have a decent conversation like this. Anyway yes thank you for wishing me luck because he's very persistent.

  • @Electricpraise777 in a way your right, ut thats due to Creationists, when have they ever been able to prove they are right? they cant, and even if they dont beleive in Science, its quite possible to prove things in scientific ways/methods, but creationists are mental slaves, instead of opening their mind to a world of knowledge and insight, they indulge in beleifs of things that nobody can prove exist, and if you disagree with em your instantly wrong

  • @Lavos2007 Well I'm a creationist, and I disagree with just about everything you said, but I do respect your views and have no reason to enforce my own. We all have our own interpretation of evidence, that's why I'm not so quick to say that evolutionists are wrong, but at the same time I find reasons into believe in creation. You have a right to your own views and so do I, but there is no reason argue about which is right, just believe in what you believe or disbelieve

  • @Electricpraise777 So then you are not going to object to having evolution taught in science classes?

  • @lazyperfectionist1 In all my years, I never had a problem with the evolution being taught, and in my opinion faith is best left out of the classrooms and up to the students. Bible study was even suggested as an after school club at my school, but they declined, however I think it's fair for everybody to excersize their beliefs, just as long as it doesn't force itself on others. Some believe in God or gods and some don't, let's just leave it at that.

  • @Electricpraise777 It should, cause the theory of evolution has a huge amount of scientific evidence to support it. And I mean a fucking ocean of scientific studies that all point to the conclusion that Evolution is fact. Creationism has next to nothing when it comes to evidence.

  • @SirJust As a creationist, my point is that, you can say things like that to support evolution, but in the end I personally just find more reason to believe in creation. I hate to debate people on the subject, cause neither of us are interested in changing our views, because we both have our own interpretations of evidence. Neither are true and neither are false, we have to let ourselves be the judge of that

  • @Electricpraise777 Actually the evolution is a fact, And creation is an idea without evidence to support it.

  • @TheWesmaister and people wonder why I'm not an evolutionist *shakes head*

  • @Electricpraise777 I wonder why, The evidence is there you just need to look at it.

  • @TheWesmaister The evidence that disproves evolution is there, all you have to do is look at it. See what I mean? Hamster on a wheel :)

  • @Electricpraise777 Sorry I didnt see it, Can you illustrate some to me?

  • @TheWesmaister No thanks, I'd rather not start spinning the wheel

  • @Electricpraise777 Saying I dont know is always good, If people feel good with an I dont know there would be no religion.

  • @TheWesmaister I'm sorry, but you're the one that said "Evolution is fact", and you're telling me me that I'm the one that's not comfortable saying "I don't know". You know what? I don't know, in fact nobody does, that's the reason I don't believe in debating creation vs. evolution. "You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it", that metaphor applies to everyone, not just religions. So please stop trying to prove something, you just keep spinning the wheel

  • @Electricpraise777 I know, But one thing is not knowing something and another thing is knowing that is true because I has been prove by science.

  • @Electricpraise777 Good reply, and yeah I agree that debating is futile cause we're both convinced that our own views are right. Be the truth what it may, thanks anyway for a civil and respectful response :)

  • @SirJust Very mature, I too am thankful for your civil and respectful response. Have a great day, and happy holidays :)

  • @Electricpraise777 I love futurama, especially Bender. The cartoon-dog in this show is very cute. hope to see more of this show.

  • @Jensaize Yeah, Futurama's a great show, I love Bender, but Fry and the professor have always been my favorite characters. Definitely one of the best show's ever :D

  • wht episode is this?

  • @Demonyk1 Creationism doesn't need the FSM to look foolish tbh.

  • @Rykanable Tell that to creationists.

  • @Demonyk1 he wasnt a local.

  • The full clip is way funnier, lol

  • @HHftw22 Just like how the trololol song is from Family Guy. And World of Warcraft was made after the South Park episode.

  • @Demonyk1 I believe in science and evolution, but Im still a Catholic. U mad?

  • YE!...

  • lol flying spaghetti manster thats from southpark

  • @Demonyk1 Thanks for the insight. I sort of already knew that, but it was nice to have some background info on how FSM actually came to be.

  • Omg so many Religious VS Athiest arguments, Jesus Christ people calm down... proably not best choice of words.

  • @Lighthouse418 no it was not but your intent was right

  • @Lighthouse418 was just thinking that

  • @Lighthouse418 well, id like to see less of those on youtube too, but as lnog as creationists keep their minds shut out from possibility, then they will never advance past their primitive ways of thinking, tell me how many creationists youve seen make actual real/logical arguments vs Evolution or Science? ive never seen it happen, and im game if they can prove science to be wrong and religion to be right, but instead of TRYING to, they just make stupid and unintelligent arguments

  • awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know what episode this is?

  • Is this a South Park reference? Season 10, Episode 12...

Just started watching South Park, and I remembered this scene in Futurama after seeing the South Park Episode.

  • @triforceman12 ya its made by the same guy thats teh point ;)

  • @BASEBALLMAN803 Erm... South Park isn't made by Matt Groening. (Who made The Simpsons and Futurama)

  • @triforceman12 oh ya trey and matt lol sorry bout dat ^_^ but ya SP did have a flying spagetti monster

  • @triforceman12 Actually Flying Spaghetti Monster is a concept meant to ridicule the idea of an unprovable God. I assure you, Pastafarianism is much, much more than just a South Park reference! It is the only moral way to live. And you have to respect it's AUTHORITA!!!

  • @triforceman12 No, the spaghetti monster is something that South park referenced.

  • /watch?v=Fdc7Ag5F0U0&feature=related

  • @Demonyk1 True! I think the FSM puts it pretty straight:

    CREATIONISM IS FUCKING RETARDED

  • R'amen.

  • Is this where FSM came from?...

  • Noodle's got a point.

  • PRAISE HIS HOLY NOODLINESS !!!!!

  • the one thing i dont understand about this episode is that the Human professor believes in evolution and the talking Gorilla in a suit with human intelligence believes in Christianity

  • Religon is like a disease, some people get get it, others don't.

  • @40bryan That just shows your ignorance. That is clearly an orangutan, not a gorilla. Jeez. Other than that, your observations are spot on and I am also troubled by this. Cheerio.

  • @hemoglobin alright well sorry about the confusion it was a simple mistake and i can't promise that it won't happen again in the future, but nevertheless i hope you have a good day

  • If somebody is not worried about spagheti monster than why does he search around youtube for it ? I don't search for santa claus and try to prove him wrong , cos I would be the stupidesst person on history ! LOL

  • lol south park refrence

  • @gameraterman No. No it's not. The Flying Spaghetti Monster was created by college students in Florida to prove a point about religion, and was then adopted as the semi-official mascot of atheism.

  • @OniLinkPlus i hate to be that guy but it was Kansas, and his name was Bobby Henderson. My english class learned about it today lol.

  • @omgmynameisbetter Thanks for the correction.

  • YE....

  • He touched us all!!!

  • I nearly pissed myself when I saw this episode- S6 is much better than the preceding 5 IMO.

  • ...and he reached out his noddlie appendage...

  • @standingontruth1

Those are some sick, twisted standards.

Who in world voted for that?

  • @standingontruth1 @standingontruth1

Have you proven that Jesus was the son of god in Scientific peer reviewed study?

    skepdic. com

    talkorgins. org

  • @standingontruth1

"Heaven or Hell? Does this concern you?"

Not one bit since they don't exist

  • @666nonbeliever Does the idea that they don't exist concern you at all? :P

  • @standingontruth1 I follow the Greeks. They made democracy. And they're better storytellers.

  • @ginganinja714 "They made democracy."

    I lol'd.

  • @SamuraiMasenko They did! And the proof is in the Bible!... wait...

  • ugh . .. I really dont feel pop culture references work with futurama

at least not in a direct fashion

  • Pastafarian!!!!!!!

  • YEE
