Why is everyone saying this is horrible? I think all the dancers are really good, really together. It's entertaining. All the formations that the guard (that is the guard right?) are doing is cool. This whole idea was creative.

Fox decided to air a live episode of In Living Color which crushed this in the ratings.

MJ came in the next year.

Hell, I'm still pondering such a move. I can't even blame this one on Mark Dayton.

sure i might like some of the bands...but id rather see a huge stage show, as opposed to just a band playing a medly

my fav. so far was the one for superbowl XVIX when they did the indiana jones thing

the only exception to the "one performer" halftime show, that i still think was outstanding was michael jackson at superbowl XVII

hahahahaha this is just sad. I'm glad the half time committee finally came to their senses and decided to make famous bands the center part of their show. This is like a bad high school drill team show with rapping little kids.

If I remember well, this was THE halftime show that drew upwards of 25 MILLION viewers to Fox for their live "In Living Color" halftime episode!

That proved to be a wake-up call to the NFL and starting with the late Michael Jackson the following year, Super Bowl halftime shows were never the same again!
