  • Powerful song.

  • Who are these 9 ice- belted persons who don't like that song!

IT IS THE BEST SONG OF MEATLOAF!

  • Comment removed

  • His name is Robert Paulson.

  • Stunning <3 The Original Is Always The Best!

  • Comment removed

  • @ILURVROBERT99 this isn't the original? pretty sure pandora's box did the original... followed by celine dion... then meatloaf

  • syper

  • Great, the best version of this song.

  • Could have done without Marion's voice...

  • @hessounusual95

you should watch a live vid of MEAT and MARION performing this song , and believe me he def needs Marions help to carry this one off , there voices def complement one another , I'm thinking thats why shes there in the first place

  • i love this song.......

  • how many people can get one name wrong, its Meat Loaf NOT ONE WORD, after so many years you would have thought people would get the idea

  • I'm vegan, but i prefer meatloaf any day. XD

  • Meatloaf's version over "sillyon" ANY day of the week and all day Sunday.

  • yes what a good song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • old times.great times, love this song

  • I'm sorry but am i missing something here? How can people say this is better than Celine's version? I mean first off the song just sounds like it would be a womans song, 2nd this version sounds like a guy and woman did friggin Karaoke in the living room, i mean the woman who is singing this can't hold a candle to Celine and Meatloaf.... Well i won't say anything bad about his singing, but i'll just say that Celine's version is soooooo much better than this, I only could stand only 2 mins of this

  • @Ldgarl1 It's personal preference, it seems. To me, Celine's version sounds better without the addition of the music videos, but Meat's video tells a better story than the one in Celine's video, even with the fact that Meat's uses the radio edit of the song.

  • @KookuBurroRama Yea I totally agree that Celine's video is not really that good, but Celine's version of this song CRUSHES and i mean CRUSHES Meatloaf's version....Just saying.

  • @Ldgarl1 I think it's the choice of woman, myself. Meat and Marion (the woman) seem to clash too much in terms of voice.

  • @Ldgarl1 Difference in tastes. I find Celines version too perfect and princessy, to the point it becomes very flat, whereas Meats aging voice just fits the character of the song and the little "imperfections" kind of hit the heart a bit more. He also works the crescendos much better than Celine, and in a power ballad, that is really important. Marion is okay too lol... But yeah, that's why I think this is the better version.

  • @MuzzaMuzik I hear you, but i just don't agree with you on that, to me this just sounds like a guy and a girl had nothing to do and decided to sing a song..... sadly this is what we got. Celines is just BEAUTIFUL and makes a grown man sing in the bathtub.....

  • met 'em both in london ;D woopwoop! lol this is so much better then celine dion

  • loved stacey francis' version.

  • think people comparing celine and meatloaf need to stfu comparing music like music facsists and listen to the music like the whole point of music is about you nob heads.

  • I love both!

  • I don't know why Celine has more views, she has nothing on this :)

  • A million times more emotional than Celine Dion's version!!

  • this song reminds me of wuthering heights. best love song and best romance book ever !

  • I love the fact that Steinman said this was originally written for Loaf as a duet, back before they stopped working together again after Bat II. (Saw it on an interview right before Bat III hit the stores on TV)

  • as always Mr Meatloaf does this with unbridled passion...this song was definitely written for him by steinman

  • Meatloaf knocks the socks off of Celine Dion!!!

  • This song is from Jim Steinmans "original sin" album. THAT'S the best version, this one is just Ok.

  • But you where history with the slamming of the door... I wish my ex was.

  • This track had always been meant for Bat 3 love this version of a classic song

  • Why does it have to be either/or? Both versions are great -- two different dramatic interpretations of the same Jim Steinman classic. Love Meat Loaf, love Céline, love this song!

  • I had no idea until now this was a Celine Dion cover, I'd never even heard the original version, I heard this in 2006 and 2007 a few times and I'm not a fan of either Meatloaf or Celine Dion at all, and this song doesn't give me good vibes either. I know so many people love Meatloaf, and love/hate Celine Dion, I can live without both of them.

  • @Lachlant1984

It was originally written for Meat Loaf, but the writer (Jim Steinman) felt it would have greater emotional resonance if a woman sang it. The first recording was by a female pop/power ballad group named Pandora's Box. Then Celine Dion happened, and it made a ton of money. In 2006 Meat Loaf just said fuck it and recorded this version, and thus a fanboy argument is born.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

  • I heard 'When I whore you like that' lol

  • It is not bad, but I dont feel the emotions from their voices...

  • This song is good but I don't feel the power of this song.

  • I like this song because in marriage there are ups and downs. When we are down we have to remember the good times and plug on through. Marriage is like football. You hit the line a runnin.

  • what other songs sound like this tone there singing in if you know what i mean

  • i think that both celine and meatloaf sing this song well, they should of done a duet

  • Both versions are good, you can't say one is better than the other when they are both as good, you can't compare them both

  • the pandora's box's version is better - i think..

  • hell yeah marion ravn <3 our Norwegian singer :D

  • Not heard this in a long time and such a great song and its all coming back to me now

  • No idea who Marion Raven is but she is amazing on this!

  • 0_0 I never knew about this version.. She is way too "pop" but Meatloaf is awesome!!

  • FUCK STEINMAN,MEAT LOAF RULES....

  • I love Meat's voice but I HATE his voice is in this song. He is nowhere near what he was in the 80's. Celine kicked his ass at this! BTW... Meatloaf did NOT write this song, Jim Steinman did.

  • This is the best version of it. dont agree, piss off ^^ MEAT ROCKS

  • @AshArcherMusic lol I totally agree with you about Meat Loaf but you have to remember that there are others whom do like different variations of the same meal. Nothing being wrong with it at all when it's always good.

  • Comment removed

  • @ttklandrey LOL. I mean, Celine is very decent, but your comment is beyond ridicuolus.

And Meat Loaf freaking rocks. You're deaf if you don't consider his vocal amazing.

  • 7 people went back to Celine Dion

  • AMAZING

  • for 7 people, it didn't come back to them :(

  • I really want to hear meatloaf do a cover of "The edge of glory," if he's still up to it. Honestly, I want Meatloaf to cover every song ever.

  • I truly love Meat Loaf! One of the best singers ever.

  • Eehhh,,, its marion ravn not raven. Greetings from Norway

  • @K1rkHammet Marion Raven er jo artistnavnet hennes da:D

  • @valestrand3 OK visste ik det og egentlig bryr egmegikke... Jeje..

  • 7 people have now idea what good music like. I mean COME ON!!!!!

  • marion owns!

  • JUST AWESOME ?

  • wow

  • <3

    love this so much :')

  • wow never knew meatloaf done a version of this

  • @Sandraella1982 he was the Frist Person that done this song Before Celine Dion .

  • @heylovex3 Jim Steinam wrote this song along time before Celine Dion did it, he allowed to Dion to sing this song (at a fee of course).

  • a duet with Celine Dion and Meatloaf ?...

  • @jonathanpettersson duet with Norwegian Marion Raven :)

  • Love this song so much <3

  • Which came first? It was Celine's, right?

  • @9InchWarrior, first came the 1989 version of this song from a band called Pandora's box. Then in 1996 Celine Dion sang the song. Meatloaf should've sang it in 1986 and released it as a part of "Bat Out Of Hell II", but for some reason he didn't. This is from 2006, from the album "Bat Out Of Hell III".

  • It's cos Steinman insisted this song was meant for a woman, so he prevented Meatloaf from using it. I think there was even some sort of court case involved.

  • @steelinferno88 The origen of the song was the feel of the music coming back when stienman and meat loaf got back together to record, it was about thier friendship coming back after thier split up after bat 1. They didnt use it on bat 2 because they replaced it with I would do anything for love, they aimed to save it for bat 3 but in the mean time stienman recorded it with pandoras box and sold it to celien dion because he thought it suted a woman better but i like all versions pandoras box best

  • @viksenpai1 steinman wouldn't give meatloaf the rights to sing it. He felt it was meant for a woman to sing.

  • @9InchWarrior no it was Meatloaf... he was the Frist person that sang this song

  • Meat and Marion are untouchable on this record. The video is even better

    this is class...!

Sorry but Celine Dion is just "Pop"

  • gimp

  • IF CELINE PLAYED THE FEMALE VOICE, THIS WOULD'VE BEEN NO.1 UK/US, INSTEAD OF NO.2 AND 3.

IM NOT SURE ABOUT THIS FEMALE VOCALIST, SHE SEEMS A LEAGUE BELOW MEATLOAF.

  • His voice is epic and her voice is ruining it, I personally think. Just so..nasal.

  • Meat Loaf picked her... and you DARE question his choice?

People like you deserve to end up in a pit of fire, being raped for eternity by giant vampire bats

  • @steelinferno88 Oh god, banish the thought! Will repent by slapping myself with a raw fish 20 times while repeating Hail Marys.

  • Beautifully done cover of the song- and that album artwork is epic on a Frazetta scale.

  • STEINMAN!!!

  • I agree. This version is MUCH better than Celine Dions version. Celine Dion is best when she sings in french. Her french albums is much better than the english ones.....

  • what ever happened to the music video?

  • Simple fact: Meatloaf is the man.

  • 6 people evidently have no taste in music...and NO SOUL!

  • i'm 16 and i love meatloaf, his lyrics are so powerful and they speak to my soul :)

  • not bad, but Celine's version is a lot better. More powerful, emotional. closer to what Steinman envisioned, I think.

  • Way better than celine dion's version

  • @PocoriDo TOTALLY better than Celine! I like Celine Dion, and she does do a good job, but Meatloaf is just more powwrful

  • @PocoriDo well the man wrote it !

  • @PocoriDo NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • for those who dislike, you guy's are suck!

  • I love this song. Meatloaf just makes it better. <3

  • avampireconfesses . com

  • Sorry, but enivitably compared to Celine, this Marion Raven sounds like Debbie Boone.

  • im 20 and ive grown up listening to music as epic as this cause of my dad. this is true music

  • I'm as old as him...still brill!

  • I love all 3 versions, they all bring a different element to the song. Would love Meat to duet with celine on this song.

  • People, I am not a Meat fan but I like this version.. BUT! I believe that Celine Dion's version is quite better because she gave it a more professional prospective. However, as far as romance is concerned, I believe that this one is more romantic but still, I love Celine's version as her voice cannot be compared.

And please... I took a look at some comments for Celine and they were totally disliked or tagged as unwanted.. So, please, respect other people's opinions!

  • I hate it when people hate on meatloaf and classic opera/rock. I mean, im 15.. but i grew up with my mum playing this. And now people listen to tinny stuff, when there is no emotion. Not like this.

  • What she says in the last last part?

  • @AlondraYam sounds like she is whispering "and if we..."

  • awesome song, and i guess 4 people completly forgot

  • This is by far my favorite version of the song, but all three versions are good in their own ways.

  • For people forgot what the thumbs up button was and hit thumbs down,

Im sure it will come back to them thow =P

  • celine is better sorry dude

  • @chevie01 You probably think that she made the song as well huh? I'm all in for freedom of speech n'stuff, but in this case you are wrong!

  • @madeinNorwayAM95

Pandoras Box is the original version in 1989, Celine Dion's version was in 1996 and Meat Loaf's was last in 2006.

  • @Giner1988 actually, Celine's version was in 1998 and no offense, I believe its the best version of all of this song..

  • @CaterinaEvClub Nope, it was July 29th 1996. You're entitled to your opinion, each to their own and all that lol

  • Great song...a little bit gay, but still nice ^^

  • This is an awesome meat song!

  • rock opera at its finest

  • @metalgod666alex Rock opera is the best genre. It seemed like a wierd combination to me but after hearing meatloaf i realized the two reinforced each other. Even though they are on opposite sides of the musical spectrum.

  • The first time I heard Celine sing this all I could think was *This would be a perfect Meatloaf song*

  • Amazing

  • Brilliant song

  • This song makes me proud of being norwegian <3

go marion ravn :3 (which is the real last name to everyone that don't know :3 )

  • This song is so beautiful.

  • Marion Raven is GORGEOUS! BEAUTIFUL! A GIFTED SINGER!

  • Among all songs written by Jim Steinmann, It's All Coming Back To Me Now is the greatest song with the greatest lyrics ever written in all power ballads, after "I Will Do Anything for Love".

And please, stop comparing between Meat Loaf and Celine Dion's version of this song, both of them had their distinctive approach on this masterpiece and they are both talented. Don't turn this into a Rock Vs. Pop thing.

  • Celine Dion's version blows big chunks. she rushes the song and over pinches so horribly, makes it sound terrible.

  • @Thorgiersson: "...like a Meat Loaf reject"

  • @akosigundam ??????? WTF over? Are you saying that you are a Meat Loaf reject? Well you go ahead baby, you have that right. You do what you wanna do, baby. Reject the music if that's what makes you feel good. As for me, I just wanna sit back and feel the love, baby!!

  • @Thorgiersson .and we're all with ya ore we wouldn't be having this.....conversation??

  • could someone give me a link where i could download dis song.. pls

  • @acaltairezio1121 It will cost you 99 cents at amazon.

  • @Thorgiersson It'll cost you zero cents at Frostwire ;-)

  • If you are not in the US then there are lots of Bit torrents from which you can pirate any song, however, if you are, that can be a little risky, in fact Qwest has even begun monitoring downloads for illegal content. They reported my friend to MGM, fortunately had only downloaded a few so they just sent her a warning, they wanted to check her computer to insure she deleted the "illegal" material. Invasion of privacy? yes. illegal? probably. anyone going to stop them? no. she told them no way.

  • @Thorgiersson and yet it's not illegal for her to steal the music in the first place??

  • @rmk3308 What are you talking about? Are you saying that Celine stole the music from Meat?? I would have to assume the proper people were paid off to allow her to re-record the song, I don't boggle my mind with what those people do. They are in their own world. I just like to enjoy the music.

  • Theeeeeeeeeeeee BEST. My dad is amazing :)

  • this is good

  • there are four twats who need to die

  • i must drive my sister up the wall i play this song so much..

  • @simonacdcwright 'and you took the words right outta my mouth....'

  • not really, it's over-produced yes, but doesn't sound like an autotuned at all >.>

and she has "the best voice" not only good.

you just can't compare, sales speak.

she made it a hit though.

  • @imqsqs Well sales speak but the majority of people are also dumb too. And Celine Dion was at the height of her fame at the time her's was released. Meat Loaf's version was played on VH1 Classics, but do you think anything will properly market MEAT LOAF's version in today's times? No. Don't gimme that bull that SALES SPEAK. There's alot of unnoticed shit that doesn't do good in sales, but is better than most shit, nonetheless.

  • All his songs are awesome. Such a powerful voice.

  • oh and once i hear celine dion opening with her powerful vibrato, i just can't breath

  • Meat Loaf > Celine Dion many times

  • sweet , but it can never touch celine's version.

it seems like a karaoke version compared to celine's :p

  • @imqsqs im a celine fan, but i think in different ways, both versions are very very good. i do like celine dion's version, but i like this version, too. i dont know why there aren't more people who feel that way! whatever. :)

  • @nerdface92 Well, once you hear celine dion you just deny any other version xD

but it'd be better if he done this at a younger age. and marion is an average voice."imo"

  • @imqsqs The Celine Dion version sounds like overwrought, to be honest autotuned trash. Haha. She has a good voice but her version sounds really autotuned actually. Or over-produced.

  • @nerdface92

I agee with you....both versions are powerful, beautiful and haunting in there own way.....i just cant pick one that i like better...and i'm a big Meatloaf fan...Celine isnt my favorite.

but yes..both songs are incredible and unique in there own way.

  • If this were just Meat Loaf singing, I'd like it better than the CD version. As it is, though, the female vocalist seems to be doing her best to choke this song to death...

  • @zkhandwala

To me, and I'm sure others would agree, she's singing fine. Perhaps your speakers, or your ears, are faulty :P

  • this song is amazing

  • I love the Celine Dion version, but this is so much better.

  • OMG! i have loved this song for along time and now i love it 500 times more that i know its by MEATLOAF!

  • anyone that says a remake of a meatloaf song should burn. also anyone that attempts to remake a meatloaf song should be burned as well. This and the original are the best versions of this song. it is not a song for only person to sing like celine did. duet makes the song so much better.

  • Bless celine dion but Meat Loaf you ma man love ur version

  • how on earth people are saying that this is better than celine dions version is beyond me, thats just mad - celine dion is an amazing singer and i definitely cant say the same for 'meatloaf'

  • Comment removed

  • Celine's version is better!

  • @Aphlyxion69 shut up and go create some taste

  • @Aphlyxion69 Fuck you. She's a talentless hack. If you actually had a sense of art then this song would be way better, but I guess you don't. So do us a favor and go be stupid elsewhere.

  • @ZapAnimator Damn Straight!
