  • hes REALLY pretty!!!! great rider too :D :D

  • beautiful horse!!!! i so wish i culd hav one, but my parents always say no... but i do ride. he jumps like a pro!

  • great job! jumping drafts is harder than it looks. And they can really throw their weight around when they dont want to. I jumped this draft buddy and he refused it about 5 times. I guess thats what I get for riding a school horse

  • im freakkin speechless...OMG!!! i would b totally afraid to even canter that horse!!!

u looked wonderful and your horse is amazing!

    WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! XD

  • big stride in there and jumps long but well done^^

  • simply gorgeous

  • that rider looks so tiny on her ! but she's a lovely mover. we used to have a belgian/qh and she refused to jump, she'd just crash into the whole thing !

  • Your lucky you can that horse to move. There is a 7yo Belgian gelding at my boarding farm and I tried riding him. He wouldn't budge. If he tried to do this, he'd fall on his head...and would more than likely cause an earthquake. xD

  • He has a great jump!:) :) he looks so smothe!!!!my horse is getting older and isnt jumping very high anymore but she still jumps 2ft i wish i could jump her higher but i dont wat to hurt her.......but anyways your horse has an awsome jump and is beautiful:) :) :) :):)

  • hi i just recently bought a quarter horse gelding. He is very muscular and a big build. Your horse is a (beautiful) lol big build as well. I love jumping and i was wondering if my horse got into shape could I jump him? if so how high? because your horse is pretty big and hes doing great. =) awesome video please reply

  • 0_0 that horse is amazing. One of my favorite equine breeds, however I never thought I would EVER see a draft jump 0-0 omg. Amazing

  • gorgeous!

  • he is absolutely fabulous! Jumps a bit long like my mare but Id kill to have her under saddle like that. I guess I better start now, then maybe in 4 years.. :P Great horse!

  • Aww.. he is soo cute! And big! Luv it:)

  • well done, hahaha i am suitably impressed :P, i have a belgainXpercheron mare who would rather saunter up to the jumps and step over them than actually canter (oh my god not work, hehehe) and JUMP the fences, hehehehe, she will with some encouragement though, but your boy just seems to float around the course, he's very light on his feet for a draft...any chance you wanna give him to me??? hahaha

  • damn that draft can jump!!!!

  • Wow your horse is gorgeous!!!!!

You guys look really good together!!!!!

  • His canter is to die for i've not seen one so smooth and you go over those jumps so well, he is a big horse gorgeous too XD. He looks like he'd do anything youd ask of him.

  • wow! it looked gr8!u and ur horse look lke u hav a strong bond. :) :) :>

  • This horse is extremly cuute ! :)

big big horse , i love it

  • wow he looks amazing......and u look gr8 ridin on him, u 2 look really good.....gd job x

  • She is soooo beautiful

  • This proves that any horse can do anything. The rider is amazingly smooth and quiet with her hands and body.

  • great horse I have a belgian cross that looks totally draft besides her color (shes a paint) and she jumps and just loves

  • lovely horse how many hhs is he

  • He is too cute! He reminds me of like a big Eyore, just soo cute and just kinda goin' along on his way!

Good job riding too! I mean, I know that they're 'gentle giants' but they're still big and have got to be a handful sometimes!

  • Very nice jumps and good video!

I really liked to see all the previous excercises before jumping, well done!.

  • gorgeous horse.

i love its stride... looks fun.

  • good position and pretty good transitions

  • wee go draftehs! :) I once owned a belgian mare, trained to do the exact same thing (eventing mainly though) and she was fun, great job with this mare! glad im not the only one out there who believes in training drafts to jump :)

  • Beautiful Belgian! I have 4 Draft horses... look on my profile... I talk about them more on there=)

  • We use to have belgians but ours were CLUMSEY! If I ever tried to jump them they would fall on top of the selves!

  • Absolutely lovely! the work shows! I wanted to see her over some of the bigger stuff :D Soft and swinging and FORWARD to the jumps... Lovely :)

  • wow he's one big beastie.

    Nice riding.

  • Wow! beautiful horse! You are a great team! Good job in keeping ur elbows in! I'm sure its hard to post with such a long stride - well done.

  • Hehe he looks really big for you but you handle him really well! His gaits look so smooth. Are they really or do they just look like that? You sit very well to his canter! Looks like such a lovely place to ride. =)

  • you 2 r reli good 2gether.. your horse is in lovely condition and is obviously suited for the work she is dng...your position is reli good aswell.. i would jst like to add that rather than trotting and catering in a huge loop that u do smaller circles or sepantines or shallow loops or something jst to do something different but still reli well ridden :)

  • thats really nice well done a couple of errors striding wise you were a little bit before but considering the breed she is she looks a fanstasric horse

    xXx

  • That looks like one happy horse & rider. Great job!

  • do u use a snaffle on her?

  • i luv your horse it seems to luv jumping i luv seeing heavy horses jump i jump with my Clydesdale.

  • I think your horse looks wonderful. It's fluid in it's movement and seems happy and relaxed, as long as bigger horses are taken care of (legs, feet, backs) they are more than well suited. Drafty horses are built for work!

  • And why is that somethingspecial14? She is an extrememly talented horse and has never had any problems doing what we have asked. She loves her job!

  • Sorry but i agree that Belgains and other drafts arnt suited for this stuff

  • You should do more homework before making such generalized comments...many people have drafts and draft crosses for sport, which are quite able to jump. Maybe not grand prix..but I have researched the issue..and found many drafts and crosses suitable for the job. I have a Perch/TB cross (more drafty) and I heard comments about how he would not make a good H/J,guess what-he is doing wonderfully. Although I'm not advanced enough to do any more than 18", my trainers jump him 2'3" during schooling.

  • Drafts are extremely talented and natural Jumpers.

  • awesome! you're really good. lol, your lower leg barely even moves! awesomeness! your horse is WONDERFUL too!

  • Don't you find the stereotype that heavier horses can't move nicely or jump highly irritating?! She is beautiful, and looks like she's really enjoying her work! Well done on the canter too - It's more difficult than it looks to do that! x

  • Lovely mare. Obviously you've put a lot of time and effort into her, and you make a great team. She drives well from her hindquarters which compensates a bit for her lack of shoulder/reach, and lightens her forehand. This is a great video to show how perseverence and athleticism are very important to support conformation in sport horses.

  • Why are u jumping a belgian horse?

  • Because she can and it's fun I'd guess. I have a percheron stallion and we jump. ;)

  • why not? my old belgian horse jumped huge and won alot of competitions

  • why not?they can be just as good as warmbloods.Dont even try to make me think that there not. I hate sterotypical people

  • My belgian Warmblood Jumps.

  • woahhh shes so awsome, and i love her jumping!

  • you look so little on her! lol i love her :)

  • how many hh is she

  • i really enjoyed watching u and ur horse, you guys look great, keep up the good work! ;)

  • good jumping

  • wow! she moves on really well for a drft horse!! tht sounds stereo typical.... i think that you are doing a really good job keeping her short! if thts possible 4 sch a big mare

    !!

  • Great video! You guys look great! Post another...

  • Luv her.

  • Very very VERY extremely gorgeous mare. ^^ You're a really good rider, too. Kudos!

  • I love belgians!

  • nice horse! very strong and solid! keep up the good work!

  • How high can drafts jump? Id like a draft for my next hrorse so ...

  • prety horse!

just one thing.... try to keep him on the bit after and between jumps.

  • thanks twheventer!

  • I watched the streched one first and thought he was really fast and taking off early, but I watched this one and it was just cuz of the strech in the video :p awesome horse, great riding! Drafts are tough, I wouldn't wanna event one :p

  • I love jumping draft horses

  • Thanks alot. I have been riding for about 17 years and training for about 3 years.

  • Nice mare! I wasn't aware that Belgians could jump that nicely...that is, until I see her jumping better than my 16.3hh Thoroughbred! Geez, and I thought MY horse was big...!

  • Thanks everyone so much. She is a wonderful horse!!!!

  • Wow great job you guys! its not easy controling a belgium. And dilidaly, any horse (okay maybe not ANY but u get my point) can jump if they want to, yes theyer bred for heavy work, but so are clydesdales and people have trained them to jump. Like PlayfulTippy said, if he didnt want to jump he wouldn't!! great job PlayfulTippy your horse looks amazing!

  • Actually they make very talented jumper... the modern belgians have been bred to be a little more agile and are great jumpers... I trained one to jump once and he was amazing... and had so so much talent.

  • what a gorgeous horse, honestly. he maintains such a beautiful frame. he's also a great jumper, especially for his breed. great!

  • Wow look at that horses expression not its body. He looks excited at times. I mean does it look like this is a big huge pain and he is hating it. I mean no he couldn't jump a 6ft but thats not what is being asked of him. That and he has a lot better manners than some horses I have seen on here. He is a beauty!

  • there was a picture in horse and hound of a cow jumpin whilst hunting so a horse can jump easily!

  • She absolutely loved to jump! And she was damn good at it too. We never forced her to do it. If she didnt want to do it, she wouldn't. Its not easy to force a belgian to do what they don't want to. And we didnt jump her alot either. Maybe once a week. Trust me, she has had a wonderful life.

  • Amen, the belgian I was training flipped out when all the other horses left and we were still in the barn... he ran me over and I just couldn't do much! Lol, I finally got him to a window where he could see the horses and he calmed down... lol!

  • Oh how I wish I was in Florida right now! What a lovely mare!

  • WOW! That is an amazing deal! I wish I could-- She is a really flashy mover. I've always been a Belgian fan. You make it look easy to control all of that! :)

  • Yes, she is a belgian draft

  • Is she a Belgian Draft?
