I love the Stones version, but I love this version too. It's simply a bit different take on a great song. I actually think this way brings out the true beauty of the lyrics better than Mick ever could. He's smiling, he gets a cut as writer, and it keeps their stuff in front of people longer. You have to remember, many people that hear this version don't have a clue to the Stones version. If you don't like it, or her, to damn bad. I feel sorry for you.

this is the worst cover of a stones sing i've ever heard (including pub band covers!!!) this is one of those songs where it doesn't matter how good you are technically as a singer but the point is to get the EDMOTION across!!!! It doesn't matter how well she can hold a note if i she doesn't have the emotional depth to express the message of the song!!!

Yes she can sing, but is she one of the greatest singers I've ever heard? Why is Susan Boyle so popular? Here's why: When she walked out on stage for the 1st time, almost every BGT viewer judged her on her appearance and assumed she was another clown. When she showed how well she could sing, everyone was blown away because they had already made their mind up.
This speaks volumes about the muppets who watch the show. It also shows how fucked the music industry is as it has people judging artists on their looks not talent.
Mick Jagger is constantly voted into the top 5 in best frontmen polls, this is quite an accolade. If it wasn't for these truly great musicians, semi talented artists such as Susan Boyle, would not have great songs to sing.

Susan Boyle does a beautiful job with Wild Horses. I compared both versions, this one and the version on stage. I prefer the one on stage, its more dramatic and the lower register of her voice is incredible. I wish that had been included in the single. But both are lovely.
This was always my favorite Rolling Stones but Susan's version blows the Stones out of the water....I actually understand the words now. Stones put on a fantastic concert, but I never thought Jagger could sing...and I still don't think he can. Susan rocks! Bravo!!!

Oh my god people. I am so happy that this songbird who calls herself Susan Boyle did not go through this life un-known. I fell so blessed that I didn't leave this earth without her angelic voice to calm my soul. She brings great peace in these rough times of a job loss. And I feel things are gonna work out. If they don't, I will still have her to get me through that as well.
if silence is golden then this rendition is superbe, well done to Susan, she made her dream come true, may all the critics thnk twice before judging a book by it's cover,within it's pages is a rare beauty.

Could'nt disagree more though - I think this is hauntingly beautiful and by far the best thing she has done so far. who really cares what Adam Lambert thinks--Mick Jagger LOVED Susan's version and called it "haunting" and "better than his own version." Pretty high praise if you ask me--makes you wonder about Lambert's credibility.
She's wonderful. This is a beautiful arrangement of the song for her. However, they blew it. Held in her voice too much and too much volume on instruments behind her. It lacks the power it had when she sang it on stage. That's how it should have been....
I looked this up after Adam Lambert commented on it... Ha ha, I kinda think he was right. The original is better. That's not to say Susan isn't talented, because she is very talented. I just think the Rolling Stones are better.
This is such a beautiful song and sung beautifully too. Susan sings with such passion and has enriched the world with her voice. Reading other peoples comments which debase Susan well I feel sorry for these people if these words can't reach their soul.

i see comments that Susan is being used, by Simon, etc. If you can catch it, there is a special on her on Comcast (the tv guide channel). When Susan lost BGT, Simon went to her and told her he would keep his promise, that she would record an album. What is truly touching is Simon's confession that Susan's performance @ BGT showed him a side of himself that he did not like. So.

I had never heard of this song until Susan made it famous. She puts her whole heart into singing. Flawlessly done. That is the beauty of music: how it reveals and reaches the emotions. God given. Refreshing.
hey....I've done the exact the same thing that natesmom 2244 did which was to hear it on you tube after hearing Lambert's comments. I am Christian and one thing God teaches us in the bible is to remain humble and not put down others. Susan did great on this song. Why is Susan Boyle so popular? Here's why: When she walked out on stage for the 1st time, almost every BGT viewer judged her on her appearance and assumed she was another clown. When she showed how well she could sing, everyone was blown away because they had already made their mind up.
This speaks volumes about the muppets who watch the show. It also shows how fucked the music industry is as it has people judging artists on their looks not talent.

Mick Jagger is constantly voted into the top 5 in best frontmen polls, this is quite an accolade. If it wasn't for these truly great musicians, semi talented artists such as Susan Boyle, would not have great songs to sing.

Susan Boyle does a beautiful job with Wild Horses. I compared both versions, this one and the version on stage. I prefer the one on stage, its more dramatic and the lower register of her voice is incredible. I wish that had been included in the single. But both are lovely.

This was always my favorite Rolling Stones but Susan's version blows the Stones out of the water....I actually understand the words now. Stones put on a fantastic concert, but I never thought Jagger could sing...and I still don't think he can. Susan rocks! Bravo!!!

Oh my god people. I am so happy that this songbird who calls herself Susan Boyle did not go through this life un-known. I fell so blessed that I didn't leave this earth without her angelic voice to calm my soul. She brings great peace in these rough times of a job loss. And I feel things are gonna work out. If they don't, I will still have her to get me through that as well.

She's wonderful. This is a beautiful arrangement of the song for her. However, they blew it. Held in her voice too much and too much volume on instruments behind her. It lacks the power it had when she sang it on stage. That's how it should have been....

i see comments that Susan is being used, by Simon, etc. If you can catch it, there is a special on her on Comcast (the tv guide channel). When Susan lost BGT, Simon went to her and told her he would keep his promise, that she would record an album. What is truly touching is Simon's confession that Susan's performance @ BGT showed him a side of himself that he did not like. So.

hey....I've done the exact the same thing that natesmom 2244 did which was to hear it on you tube after hearing Lambert's comments. I am Christian and one thing God teaches us in the bible is to remain humble and not put down others. Susan did great on this song.
