It's too late to implement the plan now.....it should have been done 50 yrs ago, when there would have been a chance to build a reserve in the plan. You implement it now and the first thing that happens is that all the boomers suck it up before it gets a chance to grow. It would still be cheaper in your taxes than buying private health insurance, and every American should be backing it, but it should be funded heavily. In a country with massive debt, it won't be easy.
I've looked in the US Constitution, but I can't find where it says Congress has the right to force me to purchase health insurance from a privately held company.
Universal Health Coverage- An Extended Look at the Most Politicized Issue in America- jtpolitik.blogspot.com/2011/05/universal-health-coverage-extended-look.html
Conservative: “I really hate having my hard-earned money taken from me to pay taxes that go to the poor and unemployed. I could have used that money to buy a brand new car!” Liberal: “Typical greedy-Conservative! No Compassion! Sorry, you’re going to have to forego this year’s brand new car to do something good for once, like help the needy.” Unemployed Assembly Worker: “I wish people would just start buying new cars so I could get of these welfare checks and get my old job back!"
I compiled a blog titled "Corporate Executives Deny 57 Million Americans Healthcare - by Bill Woollam" Just Google that. The American health care system is one of the worst in the world and has been compromised by the US Administration, the Health Insurance and Management Offices, and the American Medical Assoc.
Canada, Britain, France and even Cuba all have hassle free, debt-free, comprehensive, universal health care plans where every citizen receives health care with no additional costs
true, but the government can not force us to buy health care on the taxpayers dime. That is unconstitutional. I am saying that we do need a change in health care, but not this.
@333333528 What is unconstitutional is the poor who cannot afford health insurance, they end up suffering and dying because they are not properly looked after. What is also unconstitutional is the idea that everyone in America can help one another by paying some tax so that no one suffers. This is coming from a Concerned Canadian who gets health care and know right from wrong!
@zeppelin2224 I`m sure you have read the constitution, by the way I am a diplomat for the United States for Canada, its kind of my job to know the laws of both countries...
@goleafbudsgo If that's true, which I highly doubt, you could definitely be better at your job. The US Constitution says nothing guaranteeing the poor the right to healthcare. It does, however, place several restrictions on the power of the Federal Government. Our government is Constitutionally allowed to regulate interstate commerce, but is not allowed to require interstate commerce. There is a massive difference between regulating interstate commerce and regulating it.
@zeppelin2224 LOL. So therefore because the constitution does not say it therefore it's not. Some of you are equating the Constitution with the Bible or some type of religious document. It's not. It's amazing how many so-called Christians do not even care about other human beings.
@whateverman181 Yes, actually that is how it works. Maybe if you had read the Constitution before you would know that the Federal Government only posses specifically enumerate powers mentioned in the Constitution. Also, our Constitution is the supreme law of the land, in that sense, it is more important than the Bible. If you want to have a debate about amending the Constitution then that's fine, but ignoring it is not wise, because it promotes disrespect for the rule of law.
@zeppelin2224 Now that's VERY American. Acting as if the AMERICAN Constitution and Bill of Rights is the absolute foundation of human rights. That's a little like me saying that the Magna Carta is the absolute standard of human rights.
Ask any person in the UK and they will almost certainly tell you that healthcare free at the point of use is a fundamental human right.
You can't just act as if the Constitution is in any way absolute or infallible - As I recall, it once banned alcohol!
@BasilFawlty4444 I never said the US Constitution was the foundation of human rights. I said that health care is not a right according to the Constitution, therefore it's not a right in the US. You can always amend the Constitution if needed, but right now health care is not a right in the US.
What people in the UK think is irrelevant in terms of established American law. The law can be changed, which requires a debate. (the dems lost that debate, most americans don't want mandated health care)
@zeppelin2224 Does it matter if its a right... it is a philosophical debate we can be bored about all day. Is having a highway a right, or a fire department?
I dont care... Im the consumer, and i want free healthcare, and I want to pay for it with taxes so that way I own it, so if they fuck around... I can threaten the people I vote for to sort it ou or I will throw them out of office and replace them with someone else who will give the bloody healthcare I demand.
health problems happen because of that persons own faults, healthy eating, yoga, meditation, 5HTP, seratonin, muliviteman, and B12, and D3 supplements, yogurt, hemp seeds, strawberries, oranges, bananas, could make someone healthy enough to do handstands on 2 fingers till there 80, its been done, its been proven, look it up, maybe they should up there fucking teaching standards for gym and health class in america HMMMMMM
. A TRILLION! Oh, and there will be no doctor patient trust under this new bill, in fact, you wont even get to choose your own doctor. Also, under this "health care bill", you can only get a CERTAIN AMOUNT of health care. The bill states that a single person only gets $5,000 in health care expenses, and a family only gets 10,000! What if you have 3 or 4 kids, or your wife is pregnant. How are you going to "cope" with that?
The bottom line is, unless you have read all 1017 pages of this thing, you don't know what you are getting. Oh, and do you remember President Obama saying that this "health care bill" "wont add to the national debt". Hmmmmm that doesn't sound right because now they're estimating it will add about a Trillion more dollars to the national debt. Wow, what perfect timing since of right now, the national debt is nearing 14 trillion.
If you want an example of the kind of health care we are going to get, look at Sweden's health care-----look at Canada's health care, where a woman who had a brain tumor DIED because she couldn't get to the ER in time because it was ALL BACKED UP.
Seriously people...these people on capital hill rammed through this 1017 page bill in a shorter amount of time it would take an average college student to read it.
@333333528 tumors could be cured by someone meditating for a month straight, eating 100% of there vitemans a day, and then getting gene manipulated THC directly on the tumour, the stopping of cell production from the meditation would naturally fight it off easily at that point, the tumour cells would stop growing, then that person could simply smoke like compressed weed all day, and then eat hemp cerial, in hemp milk
OBAMA CARE has been ruled as Unconstitutiional.. that shit is going away soon, its a peice of shit monarchy socialist move by obama.. impeach that kenyan
America obama is trying to help you! he doesnt want to fuck you over! if your so rich and such a good country why is all of europe under uni healthcare, you guys are so naive is scary.
@iphoneguy2012 No YOU dont get it, and please if your going to make a remark at least dignify it with a sentance explaining your stance. And yes anybody advocating 'socialized'(big scary socialism aaahh!) healthcare is doing it because he/she is sick of seeing Americans die because they cannot afford healthcare, or go bankrupt because insurance companies will only pay for a portion of the costs. i hope you're uninsured and u have an accident,then you see how bad the system is(I hope u dont tho!)
it's now over 3 years since this debate, did anything change? are americans living in fear of their own government? how can the world continue to think that americans are good people unless they also think that they are stupid? national priority for america is capital growth, growth of corporations, thru wars, pharmaceuticals and stock exchange, but americans do not seem to worry much about that, do they? just compare the number of viewings of this video and other related vs American Idol etc
lol moreover healthcare & buisinesses cost a TON cuz of GOVT!!! govt regulations are the very reason for the skyrocketing costs. if u want better yet cheaper healthcare, boot the govt out of it & encourage CAPITALISM
lol its hilarious how obama is playin the sob card & misrepresentin the so called 45 million "uninsured". lol since his bill passed, the rates have SKYROCKETED & benefits have started to plunder down
@swu880 that may be true, but i think what his overall implication is is that the uninsured americans have a problem that can't be remedied by our current health care practices. The best route is socialized healthcare.
ok enough with the sob stories- none of these morons have What is govt role in the private sector? The only role for govt is to get its ass out of the private sector and not micromanage & regulate the shit out of buisinesses. Its called respecting my personal property. If they cant do that, well they are fired & possibly arrested for violating my rights
@swu880 hm... interesting. it's actually the private sector that's the problem now. the private sector has the government in its pocket, and it's also the private sector that's screwing up healthcare. insurance- privatised and uber rich. drug companies- privatized and rich. they may be federally regulated, but doesn't that count for absolutely nothing when you practically control the government? how can it be that elected government workers from congress quit and go work for these guys?
@swu880 it's no coincidence. it's because the privatized insurance guys pay these government workers to pass laws that are only in the interests of their privatized companies. it gets to where even those who supposedly have insurance are under attack from their very insurance agencies and can't get medical help even though they meet their premiums. please do your research. 62 percent of bankruptcies happen because of outrageous medical bills that the insurance companies won't cover.
US health system is ranked in the bottom 7 of all industrialized countries: Google it.Rush says nationalized Health care's Nazism. So Australia is Hitlerville for its Medicare system? Rush has demented logic.I've lived in Australia most of my life & it works.My autistic son would 't be the bright well adjusted boy he's today without it.As all people join it's cheaper & you get more than private.You can still go get private luxury extras if you want.Don't fear what you don't know.
@robinhood2be i totally agree. the prob is that ppl don't do their research. they just watch the news and allow the news to color their thinking without actually asking foreign citizens, "What's your healthcare like?" "Tell me about your government and how effective do you think it is?" We'd learn more that way. My husband and i are considering getting citizenship in another country because of this issue and many more and are trying to get a feel for all the different perspectives.
Looking for something that provides genuine knowledge in an unbiased, mature informed way into some aspects of this important debate? Please see “the U.S. Healthcare system in international Context:”
@iguanabomb i wouldn't be surprised if one day china just did decide to call in their debts. you know what? maybe that's what needs to happen for america to wake up. d
see either way someones not going to have health care. either poor people, or older people. You have to admit that there is a lot more older people who need more care than the people who can't afford it. look at it that way.
@IluouveRWJ why should anyone have to choose, though? how about a healthcare system where both can be taken care of? in the UK it's already like that, and even in the Americas? How about the US is actually not number one in healthcare overall? it's because it doesn't have full coverage. shocker. but there are systems that can support the weight of massive and complete healthcare systems funded by the taxpayers. that system just requires though that no one get mega rich. where'd robin hood go? :(
Looking back, it seemed Edwards was more adamant about Universal Health Care than even Obama was, let alone Clinton!
I know politicians can act, but for me, Edwards would get the Oscar, because he really looked like he WASN'T acting, which he very well may not have been.
i also learned that some canadians go south of the border to get better care because there are waiting lists and shortages here.... Advice from a canadian
I understand the President’s point- prevention of medical complications is important, but I do not agree with his slander of physicians and the misinformation he gives the American people. I strongly oppose Obamacare because I do not want the government interfering in my relationships with patients. When I look at government run systems (inefficient DMV and Postal Service, mismanaged funds of Social Security), I cannot trust the government to manage something so important as healthcare. Do you?
@JJohn749 well under our current system as a whole- political, economical, you name it, the whole shebang- you're rt, government-regulated medicare would be a bad venture. for this to work we'd completey have to revise our system and shut down the vast majority of big businesses, because they've made it so that the average person can't get the proper healthcare. for this to work, our system would have to mirror England's or Canada's or France's, where the people say what goes. true democracy
@JJohn749 and i think you'll also find that doctors are even better able to assist patients under these systems and actually be doctors and not financial hounds because their money is already pre-decided by the taxpayers, who, naturally have a vested interest in their healthcare being efficient. so they pay these doctors money enough for them to live a life as good as the life of any doctor here, and what's best, the doctors aren't motivated by greed. it's taken outta the equation altogether.

It’s embarrassing that our own President does not have correct information on how the billing in our health care system works. Does he even understand our health care system? If we truly want health care reform, why are we not focusing on tort reform or adjusting malpractice insurance rates? These factors make significant contributions to the cost of health care.
@JJohn749 because the bottom line is that under our current healthcare system, making minor little changes isn't going to make a single difference. we need healthcare REFORM not healthcare tweaks. there's a huge difference between the two. look up the healh care system NHS under the European Union and get a feel for how actual citizens of these countries rate their health care. and those peope are healthier in those other countries. because healthcare is ran by the people. ours isn't.
Again, my patients come first and I am dedicated to their best interest. I would never perform an unnecessary surgery. Also, the President stated we make $50,000 for an amputation. For an amputation for diabetes, medicare will reimburse $879.21. No surgeon makes $50,000 as the President stated (youtube video: Doctors Choose Amputations because Surgeons Get Paid More). In fact, malpractice insurance can be 50K, sometimes more.
These 13 years of my life was dedicated to developing my mind so I could provide the best care possible. So how does our President describe my physician colleagues and I? He states that instead of doing what’s best for the patient, we look at reimbursements to decide patient care. He states we do unnecessary tonsillectomies for a “sore throat” to make money (youtube video: Obama- Doctors taking tonsils out for money).
As a doctor, I am extremely disappointed by President Obama’s statement that physicians perform unnecessary procedures/surgeries out of greed. My patients come first. When I made the decision to become a physician, I wanted to dedicate my time and life to providing the best and most compassionate care possible. After receiving a bachelors in science (4 years), I went to medical school (4 years) and residency (5 years).
All this talk about a public option but it was never mentioned during the campaign. There is no such thing as the idea of public option mentioned in any of the 2007 and 2008 primary and presidential debates. Obama ended up including the mandate that Hillary and Edwards campaigned on, other than that his plan is pretty much what he described during the campaign.
haha anyone who is against healthcare reform is STUPID.
plain and simple.
it hasn't effected the average american income by the government spending TRILLIONS of tax dollars on a war in iraq that costs lives so how is spending a THOUSANDTH of that money in order to save fellow american lives so bad ???.
unless you are an idiot who doesn't understand, a rich person with a interest in healthcare, someone who enjoys pain and death or someone who hates the constitution you should be pro reform.
Healthcare needs LEAN. Our acronym HOSPITAL and Healthcare simulation provide wonderful opportunities for those looking to learn more about Lean. Check our channel and website ... LEAN2020.com for additional training videos and Healthcare White Belt Certifications.
Do not blame the people the blame lies at the door or big business, the media and the majority of politicians. People are constantly bombarded with propaganda and the meida helps to spread the lies. The propaganda is constant and very sophisticated and most are not aware of the fact that they are being manipulated. Chomsky hit the nail on the head and calls it Manufacturing Consent, do yourself a favour and watch this documentary.
Republicans are so backwards... Now the US has a president, which is doing the best for the country, and they hate him for that. No country in the world is screaming, how patriotic they are, paying billions for their military, but helping their own neighbours... no way. Everybody cares just for themselves. Obama wants to change a system, which is so expensive, it has nothing to do with socialism, we know it better... we've been trough!
it is sickening that america will pay trillions to start wars that only benefit the super rich, whilst they wont falk out a penny to help there neighbor dyeing of cancer.
IN THE FUCKING CONSTITUTION IT SAYS TO DO ANYTHING TO MAKE AMERICA BETTER AND HELP FELLOW AMERICANS, THEREFORE THE REPUBLICANS ARE UN-CONSTITUTIONAL
ok if you really want to pay astronomical healthcare bills to be under the false protection of a company who will allow you to die whenever they can save a dollar, then fair enough.
if you think its good that america has 37th in quality healthcare but most expensive in price, fair enough.
if you think its fair that 18,000 innocent americans die because they are poor, fair enough.
if you are a brainwashed dipshit, then you are an average anti reform american
You think they can do that at will? Like legal contracts don't mean anything?
Yeah, its 37th if you believe the skewed rankings of the WHO in 2000. I'd like to see where you get those statistics. But what I really object to is your absolutely clueless rendition of the Constitution. You clearly have no idea what the role of government is and YOU are brainwashed.
universal healthcare would be a good thing according to the constitution. in which it never says anything about a free market but does say we should do everything to help our fellow people.
and who am i brainwashed by?, you on the other hand listen to much to the COMPLETELY 100% biased billionaire media which is run by the people who own the health corporations.
universal healthcare works fine in every country its in
Well you make it seem like insurance companies are thugs that are not bound by any laws- that is far from the case. Health care is a product that is not produced for free- companies have to charge money for it, they are not evil for it because they are still providing jobs and a vital service.
"Being a good thing" is not the same thing as being legal. Not that it would be anyway. It says private property will be protected- ergo capitalism is the de facto economic system of the US
Now is the media biased in your mind BECAUSE it is run by billioniares? And do you actually think that the same billionare who owns CNN also owns the health insurance companies? Get real. And assuming that by "universal health care" you mean single-payer- it would not only be unconstitutional but also an ABYSMAL failure!
you clearly haven't read the constitution, and you dont know shit if you think the government runs healthcare in a universal healthcare system, tax money covers a independent system like that of the NHS here in the UK.
and yes the same billionaires who run the biased news corporations have money in healthcare such as Rupert Murdoch, if you dont believe that then look at there fucking healthcare sponsors.
and it works amazingly in countries its in so why do you think it would fail
And what do you base that off of? Do you realize that if the federal government is not specifically allowed to do something in the Constitution, it CANNOT do it?
I mention single payer because YOU did not specify what kind of universal h/c system you were talking about. If tax money funds a single national h/c company, its single payer
And in what way are they biased? Are you only saying this because you distrust scary rich people? It will fail because it BANKRUPTS other countries
1) it also says in the constitution that america should do anything that benefits the woking american, e.g- universal healthcare that covers everyone rich, poor, disabled, EVERYONE.
2) they are biased because they are sponsored by healthcare companies who will withdraw there sponsor if they are critical and tell the TRUTH.
3) you believe bullshit lies because it doesn't bankrupt other nations and is infact several times cheaper for every person the private healthcare, i would know
1. And where does it say that? I didn't realize the Founders wanted the US to have unlimited government
2. They are also sponsored by many many other companies. Besides there are some health care companies that WANTED Obamacare, no?
3. Where do you get those facts champ? And what do you think is happening in Europe right now? The debt crisis? Medicare is already bankrupting the US and you want to EXPAND that system? For 307 million people? With only 52% paying taxes?
1) no universal healthcare isn't anything to do with government, it is tax money that covers healthcare for all..
2) and yes the founding fathers would want universal healthcare because they wouldn't agree with 18,000 americans dyeing because they have no money and the rest being robbed by huge corporations.
3) obamacare is shit it is a good to an extent but is NOT universal healthcare, europes in debt because of american banks collapsing DUE TO NOT HAVING ENOUGH GOVERNMENT CONTROL
1. I mean... if something uses tax money, it has to do with the govt. Who do you think does the taxing in the first place? Who redistributes it? What the hell else would you call it? You still haven't told me where in the Constitution it is...
2. You are confusing the issue. You automatically assume that govt run health care (that is what you are talking about) would solve all problems. Besides- the Founders valued freedom and private property above all else.
3. So you basically want single-payer? You are using the term "universal health care" wrong. That simply means everyone in the country has health care, but it doesn't say HOW they all get it. You keep talking about tax money to buy insurance for everyone...THAT IS CALLED SINGLE PAYER.
NO! Europe has been growing in debt for decades BECAUSE they have socialist welfare states. You clearly tihnk we don't have enough govt. Govt has been growing since the 1930's- we have too MUCH.
yes single payer is good and works, you dont know what your talking about.
and its an international crisis and its in america aswell which is not at all socialized, it has nothing to do with being socialized thats just a good thing to have in any developed country
You forget that the govt already runs h/c for the poor and the eldery...THAT alone is bankrupting us and is ineffective, so now you want to expand it? Nevermind that it would be socialist to steal wealth and redistribute it- but also the fact that in order to cut costs, there would be rationing of care because there would NOT be enough doctors for everyone.
Yes, but socialism IS what is bankrupting Europe and what will bankrupt US soon.
you fucking trust the government enough to pay them shitloads in tax and give them the power to have the worlds largest military with nuclear weapons, but not to spend a bit of that money on stopping the poor from dieing.
and how the fuck is it in effective to make sure your fellow citizens dont die, imagine if you were dirt poor and diagnosed with cancer then you would give a fuck, and what elderly people with no income should just die ?
omg! what do you call social security, medicare, medicaid, welfare, housing, food stamps, etc. hmm?
Hell, most of that money is going to someone else who isn't working. The Constitution gives the govt the right to defend us from other countries, NOT to give it to someone else because they didn't earn the same amount of money. And wake up- America's poor have cars, tvs, even video games...they are far from dying. America's poor is richer than half the world.
We already pay taxes which go to hospitals- doctors are not allowed to turn away patients because of their oath. If the govt was more involved in fixing h/c instead of taking it over and trying to run the insurance companies out of business w/ regulation, prices would be lower.
By the way, the vast majority of poor Americans already get free h/c paid by those who actually work. Most of those who don't have h/c are illegal immigrants or just chooes not to buy it
paying private industry makes for shit healthcare because they want to do as little as they can for the highest cost to the consumer,
a government system actually works according to what is NEEDED.
and why do you wish to protect a handful of billionaires who hoard money and couldn't give a shit about you.
and people are poor for many reasons not because they choose to be, it isn't a fun life, people who have disabilities or lost there jobs dont deserve to be downgraded in society
Clearly you have no experience in the health care industry - so you are not qualified to make that statement because you are basing that simply on your hatred of business.
Companies have to compete while still making a profit- so they have to provide the best service for the lowest price while remaining efficent. Otherwise they will NOT stay in business.
You realize that billionaires are the ones who create jobs, and give people retirement money right? Capitalism HELPS the poor
where does this human right come from? since when must rights be paid for by someone else? are we going to force richer people to pay for everyone? or force doctors and hospitals to work for free?
and it seems like you do, since you hate it when people make money
no i dont hate it when people make money i love making money, but why must people die because they dont have it, when universal healthcare works in every country its in FAR BETTER THEN THE AMERICAN SYSTEM IN EVERY WAY.
YOU PAY MORE IN THE PREMIUMS THEN YOU WOULD FOR A FREE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THAT WOULD COVER EVERYONE AND BE BETTER.
and yet you still haven't proved that govt run h/c in other countries works better. The only ones who say so are at the W.H.O. who skew their rankings in favor of socialist countries. The govt ALWAYS wastes money and govt programs ALWAYS lead to rationing. You haven't responded to the fact that MEDICARE IN the US SUCKS- so why do you want to expand it to millions of more people?
NOTHING IS FREE- GET THIS THROUGH YOUR MIND. SOMEBODY pays. And rationing care doesn't make it better
but have you actually read the WHO study? do you know HOW they get their rankings? if you did, you would know that I am absolutely correct in that sense
Speaking of stupid...you STILL have not responded to my claims about Medicare, OR the Constitution! Govt run h/c is more expensive (e.g. Medicare), poorer quality (even if there is more coverage, rationing DOES exist), it is economically irrational, immoral (socialism is wrong) and in the US it is ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
YOU HAVENT READ THE FUCKING CONSTITUTION, IT IS FAR MORE PRO-CO OP AND SOCIALIST THEN CAPITALIST, FOR FUCKS SAKE DONT WRITE ABOUT SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT.
AND YES MEDICARE IS EXPENSIVE BECAUSE IT ISNT SINGLE PAYER INSTEAD OF PAYING A NON PROFIT UNIVERSAL SYSTEM IT PAYS EXPENSIVE PRIVATE COMPANIES TO DO THE WORK.
RATIONING IS A RUMOUR STARTED BY ANTI REFORM CAMPAIGNERS BECAUSE THEY KNOW SOME OF YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE IT.
How the hell is that even possible? What part of private property rights, individual freedom and small government don't you understand. Where in God's name is the Constitution supporting socialism? SHOW ME, DON'T JUST DODGE THE QUESTION THIS TIME.
Are you kidding? You have NO idea what Medicaid is! It is a GOVT h/c insurance company that pays doctors. And a lot of doctors don't accept it because it SUCKS and it is ineffective. What- do you want the govt to run hospitals too???
I have studied the Constitution and many Supreme Court cases. You don't even need to copy and paste- you could just cite where in God's name it happens.
But listen, WE are not the UK. I understand you have a bit of a debt problem yourselves over there....well OURS is going to be bigger because we are the 3rd largest country in the world. Our economy and society is just different, plain and simple.
we have debt because of PRIVATE industry such as PRIVATE BANKS.
america has the same problems and you were even forced to become communists under George Bush and nationalize some of your banks because they had fucked you over.
also healthcare has nothing to do with society, everyone has a right to live regardless end of story
How in God's name does PRIVATE debt create NATIONAL debt?? Are you sure its not ridiculous WELFARE spending?
The banks failed because of GOVT regulations which forced them to lend loans to people who couldn't afford to pay them back- hence they made no money. And guess what, after we nationalized them, we've had 10% unemployment for a year. Yeah...socialism sure does help.
I hate how you oversimplify it so much so naively. Govt h/c would hurt people more than help them!
no national debt was built up here due to the government having to bail out many companies that found themselves in huge debt aswell as big buisness llike banks, oh and dont forget the ridiculus spending on 2 wars one of which was illegal, welfare money is penuts compared to that shit.
and being forced to nationalize an industry does not mean its socialism thats an extreme measure.
and that last bit was the stupidest thing ive ever hear, your brainwashed and believe lies
Are you talking about debt in the US or UK? In the UK- are you telling me there was no national debt until 2 years ago? And that MINIMAL spending on a fraction of 2 wars broke the bank?
And no- welfare money is NOT. Welfare programs and Medicare and Social security take up the vast majority of the US budget- much more than the military does.
You might as well give up. You have no shown me an ounce of facts- you are wrong on the Constitution, wrong on h/c and WRONG on debt!
no your wrong on the constitution never once does it say the rich should thrive whilst the poor die.
never once does it say that healthcare companies have to exist.
but it does say that, everyone should do anything to better the life's of the working american and protect the trade unions, SUCH AS UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE< WHICH WORKS FINE AND DOES JUST THAT IN EVERY UNTRY ITS IN EVEN FUCKING CUBA HAVE IT.
and that military spending is way above any welfare spending thats fact
I just can't talk to you. Just wow. What part of private property don't you understand? The 5th and 14th Amendments? Because of that, we have capitalism, and companies are owned by individuals- not the govt.
WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT!! its like talking to a rock. If you don't start showing some concrete evidence I'm just going to have to stop talking to you.
False. Medicare, Medcaid, Social Security and other welfare programs add up to almost 60% of the budget. Defense is 20%.
its not at all like talking to a rock its like talking to someone who has a little experience with life and doesnt just listen to what cnn and fox tell me to think.
healthcare ranks along side policing and fire service it shouldnt be a COMPLETELY private industry as much as policing, fire brigade and military should be.
You know I once thought as you do, but I changed. I was over in Britain in 2006, got poisoned and doctors on their national health care scheme saved my life.
They could have said, 'You are a Yank, we don't owe you anything' but they saved my life.
You need to get out more. Travel to Europe. Don't judge until you actually see with your own eys. Don't condemn social medicine, I can testify it truly works. I am American just like you. Trust me.
@IDislikeTheWorld Not real capitalism. What you ment to say was, corporatism equals corruption. That kind of corruption happens when government gets too involved in the free market
@Chaaarge i would wager it's actually the other way around. government is corrupted by the free market investers. they control government, and things won't change unless the common person stands up for his rights and says to hell with all of them. in other countries like England, Canada, Cuba, Greece and France, to name a precious few, health care is more effective and responsive than it is here because their systems are not greed motivated. the free market can't exist without greed.
@IDislikeTheWorld and in fact, apparently it ensures the exact opposite, from what i've seen. if you told them there was a way they could go in your house, shoot everyone dead and collect a huge profit from that, they'd find a way to legalize it just so they could reap a benefit off it. walmart practically does that already, just short of actually committing the murder on its own. look into how walmart take insurance on employees that are sick. i saw a special on it. very chilling.
Cap the pharm companies, stop over zealous lawyers from making huge erroneous malpracticce claims, stop the people who can work from sitting on their asses while I work and pay their way. Stop Uncle Sam from trying to horn in on Americas free status where we are supposedly are in charge of the gov. and trying to isssue us things as if those in power are 'in charge' of us, like a bunch of freaking cattle. Nope, wont support Obama or his zealots, never will.
@guitarplayer4real "Stop Uncle Sam from trying to horn in on Americas free status" and "Cap the pharm companies, stop over zealous lawyers from making huge erroneous malpracticce claims, stop the people who can work from sitting on their asses while I work and pay their way" You demand all this but don't want the government to intervene... I don't understand that.
The slackers are trying to get theirs handed to them, give me give me give me... Well, not out of my pocket. In 50 years you see a lot. I've met entire families who have bragged about never working and milking the welfare system. That is generations of men women and children not doing squat to support this nation while people like me work our asses off to pay off THEIR attorneys and food stamps. You have no idea!
and its the same bill george bush Came up with and nobody lookeed at twice obama aint changed shit so now its time to see how racist obama is if he lets cholo bro luis guitereez who is the voice of the illegal immigrants and what a shock hes mexican and scared to go fight the cartel and ran to america well bitch its time to go back
Health Care is only making the lazy people in the economy even MORE dependent on the government. I midas well quit my job and drop out of school because Obama's healthcare plan will help me go into the hospital at reduced rates!!!
@swtxwishes Absolutely, and if you dont think it will get worse then wait until this shitball goes totally socialist and I quit my business, being an employer and just milking this system myself. Socialism is not what I just spent 50 years of my life working and fighting for. Obama can blow his socialist plan straight out his big spending communist ass.
@01mclaren Having a military paid for by the people doesnt inherently make you socialist politically fool. Having a military is a necessity, soldiers have families who have to eat cock licker. So a soldier should leave their family and volunteer for free under your fucked up nonsense? LOL, fuck off you stupid little schmuck.
@guitarplayer4real Chill dude your reaction was awesome and exactly what I was after! Does America not think it is the best, most advanced Army in the world? If that is paid for by taxes and people then why must healthcare instantly become so poor and a waste of money? It's all about priorities, and America has them backwards at this stage.
@01mclaren Do you really think that people wont slack knowing they arte paying for the extra fat in this country? I dont even know if we're the most advanced Army these days, thats probably a matter of opinion:-) I wont relax until the socialist/ communist threat is gone. Been to defendeducation (dot) org and seen the sponsorship list? Damn right I dont agree with the snotty nosed punks in the country.
@01mclaren My stance has nothing to do with healthcare in general, there really are those who 'deserve' help. If you are not from America then you have no argument with me sincde I have a lifetime invested here and you do not. Under this shit Obama plan business owners are abused and taken advantage of and the real underlying problems remain, which is people.
@01mclaren So, are you from Canada or Australia? Have you done any research on the percentage of slackers milking the system? Its going to go from bad to worse here as the gangbangers and low life's figure out how to abuse their new 'give me' system. Have a couple babies, maybe 5 or 6 since you get more bennies for that, food stamps, free meds lol.. Yea right, I support that:-)
@guitarplayer4real Neither, New Zealand. And if you haven't experienced a public healthcare system you cannot argue your point against it since I have lifetime invested in decent, affordable healthcare (see it goes both ways and you have basically said you don't know what you are talking about!). People will always abuse a system. If it's not the poor, it's the rich. You are not reforming healthcare for the poor. It's for everyone.
@01mclaren NZ, that figures as I keep threatening to move there lol!! The part that is hard for you to argue is not a healthcare system itsself, its the inherent nature of the people in this country that you have to see. America used to be one of the hardest working peoples hour for hour of anyone on the planet in general. The laws of the last 20, 25 years have allowed for gross abuse of the welfare system, its bad!!!
@guitarplayer4real I dont argue that we need to take care of ours, plus some around the world which we have always done. However, the pharmaceutical co's, the lawyers (Obama is one) and Uncle Sam all are set up to be abused. the US already makes money on its sick. The pharm. co's have paid for R&D 1000 times over and are into pure 5000% profits. Healthcare is affordable if these abuses are stopped. I dont want the gov. issuing me shit. The gov does not run America.
@guitarplayer4real Who stops these abuses then? What's wrong with the drug company making 5000% profits? It is, after all a business and thats the aim of business. That sounds like a good business to me.
@01mclaren I actually agree with that 'free enterprise' statement. I'm still not sure how to stop the abuse but I honestly feel like the socialized system, gov. issued healthcare, that it will be ripe for even more abuse than before. I might be entirely wrong but what I see here tells me that its going to get a lot worse. I actually like the idea of healthcare, my coverage has always been poor.. working man syndrome.
@guitarplayer4real Its only this last 8 years that I was able to start a business and employ people but that all fell apart as soon as Obama took office. I have'nt been able to hire any of my 3 employee's back in a little over a year. Speaking of business, most in my shoes are in the same boat. Small business is in dire straights with no work happening, the economy is at a standstill for most. The stimulous helped temp large projects but nothing else.
@guitarplayer4real But again, a business guy here who does well is frowned upon by Obama supporters. The guy who is industrious, owns a nice home and has a boat in the driveway is the bad guy right now "ironically", in a nation full of lazy Hollywood twits with big mouth's with little to offer. My demographic are the hard working people making this country happen, Obama supporters like to hate me for ignorant reasons.
@guitarplayer4real I highly doubt anyone hates you because you are a "hard worker" Do you not thing Obama supports make great money also? Are you that ignorant? Do you hear anyone on wall st making a stink about health care? NO, WHY YOU ASK? Because they will still make money. You and your "demographic" needs to deal with Obama, he'll be sticking around for another 4 years after his term.
@jakeintempe Thats right, Obama people have been whining about the guys with the boat and nice house forever now, its a Democrat thing against capitolism and free market. I've got your ignorance hanging neophyte, Obama will not see a second term, he's making sure of that. Shout it all out to my 3 laid off employees with families to feed asshole.
@guitarplayer4real So, you say the Democrats are against the free market and capitalism? Same GOP bullshit, different day! We had "Cowboy" - "Trickle Down" free market capitalism for 8 years prior to President Obama and look where that got us.... Just about total depression is where! We are all for "Capitalism", just not they type you are used too. Greed and corruption will ALWAYS rule if left un-checked. No matter who you are, you should agree with that!
@phillipmarch22 I do agree with that. I have registered Democrats in my family. Its not the free emarket ideal that has failed, its lame uninforced laws against people like Charles Keating continually being abused. Yep, people are crooked at every corner in every system including this new administration, which will be abused as well, Its not without its history either. I dont want gov issued anything, period.
@guitarplayer4real I agree I don't know the ins and outs of your countries politics. But the problems you speak of are not related to healthcare. In that case why should the whole country miss out on the benefits of healthcare? It's American society as a whole that has perpetuated the laziness. I only have to visit to see that. Everything is convenient... (but thats another topic).
@01mclaren Dude, yes the problems are LARGELY related to healthcare and its cost here. This country full of hypochondriacs, welfare milkers, low life drug addicts, people flooding into this nation over borders who instantly get better care and benefits than I do. And I have experienced European healthcare, I was in Germany late 1979 to 1981. I have people who apply for work who are not even hireable, constantly. I should pay for that? Nope, we need to fix that.
@guitarplayer4real I'd love to hear about the system there, can you send me a private message where I can give you my email? I cant see your profile for some reason. Tx
@01mclaren You should see what a malpractice lawsuit brings here. I have 3 doctors who are customers of mine (I'm a Landscape contractor), their malpractice insurance is some 55% of their total income! A dental surgeon told me after 30 years in practice (never been sued) that one malpractice suit would ruin him. Thats SAD!!! And has nothing to do with not having socialized gov. subsidies, this system needs to be taken back by people, and cap these god damned lawyers.
no i know government wants more power regardless of party. That wasn't my point, my point was why give it to them idiot! What if this november the republicans take back the house and or the senate then what.? But you probably didnt think of that did you!
I don't give a fuck to take care of poor ass people who couldn't afford to take care of themselves!!! Seriously! This is fucked! Me and my family are good and healthy, and hardly EVER need to go to the hospital...almost NEVER! Why do we have to pay for them?
Tell you what, how about THEY get a good job, so we don't have to pay for their lazy asses!
@swtxwishes spoken like a truly selfish asshole. Good 'ole fashioned red blooded American ain'cha? Your the kind of asshole that voted for Bush..TWICE!! LMAO You over simplify things and have these little,closed minded POV's, UNTIL it hits close to home. Until your "Me'MA" needs it, or your mom. You racist bastards kill me(not really) w/ your stupidity. We can't wait until YOU leave!! LMBAO
regardless of what party you may support why would anyone be willing to give that much power to the government. WAKE UP!!! republican or democrat. Its a power grab pure and simple. The dems must go!

Chidanandaji 10 months ago
true, but the government can not force us to buy health care on the taxpayers dime. That is unconstitutional. I am saying that we do need a change in health care, but not this.
333333528 11 months ago
@333333528 What is unconstitutional is the poor who cannot afford health insurance, they end up suffering and dying because they are not properly looked after. What is also unconstitutional is the idea that everyone in America can help one another by paying some tax so that no one suffers. This is coming from a Concerned Canadian who gets health care and know right from wrong!
goleafbudsgo 8 months ago
@goleafbudsgo you should read the constitution before you declare something unconstitutional...
zeppelin2224 8 months ago
@zeppelin2224 I`m sure you have read the constitution, by the way I am a diplomat for the United States for Canada, its kind of my job to know the laws of both countries...
goleafbudsgo 8 months ago
@goleafbudsgo If that's true, which I highly doubt, you could definitely be better at your job. The US Constitution says nothing guaranteeing the poor the right to healthcare. It does, however, place several restrictions on the power of the Federal Government. Our government is Constitutionally allowed to regulate interstate commerce, but is not allowed to require interstate commerce. There is a massive difference between regulating interstate commerce and regulating it.
zeppelin2224 8 months ago
@skoi87
Exactly everyone has the right to live. Healthcare is not a privledge but a human right.
When people compare property to human beings, they miss the point.
You can always replace possessions. You can never replace a human life.
Why are the Republicans so selfish and self centered?
pluto4847 11 months ago
@pluto4847 Sorry, but health care is not a human right. If you don't believe me you can google the US constitution and Bill of Rights
zeppelin2224 8 months ago
@zeppelin2224 LOL. So therefore because the constitution does not say it therefore it's not. Some of you are equating the Constitution with the Bible or some type of religious document. It's not. It's amazing how many so-called Christians do not even care about other human beings.
whateverman181 5 months ago
@whateverman181 Yes, actually that is how it works. Maybe if you had read the Constitution before you would know that the Federal Government only posses specifically enumerate powers mentioned in the Constitution. Also, our Constitution is the supreme law of the land, in that sense, it is more important than the Bible. If you want to have a debate about amending the Constitution then that's fine, but ignoring it is not wise, because it promotes disrespect for the rule of law.
zeppelin2224 5 months ago
@zeppelin2224 Now that's VERY American. Acting as if the AMERICAN Constitution and Bill of Rights is the absolute foundation of human rights. That's a little like me saying that the Magna Carta is the absolute standard of human rights.
Ask any person in the UK and they will almost certainly tell you that healthcare free at the point of use is a fundamental human right.
You can't just act as if the Constitution is in any way absolute or infallible - As I recall, it once banned alcohol!
BasilFawlty4444 2 months ago
@BasilFawlty4444 I never said the US Constitution was the foundation of human rights. I said that health care is not a right according to the Constitution, therefore it's not a right in the US. You can always amend the Constitution if needed, but right now health care is not a right in the US.
What people in the UK think is irrelevant in terms of established American law. The law can be changed, which requires a debate. (the dems lost that debate, most americans don't want mandated health care)

@zeppelin2224 Your exact words were:
"Sorry, but health care is not a human right. If you don't believe me you can google the US constitution and Bill of Rights."
That is pretty much saying that.
BasilFawlty4444 2 months ago
@zeppelin2224 Does it matter if its a right... it is a philosophical debate we can be bored about all day. Is having a highway a right, or a fire department?
I dont care... Im the consumer, and i want free healthcare, and I want to pay for it with taxes so that way I own it, so if they fuck around... I can threaten the people I vote for to sort it ou or I will throw them out of office and replace them with someone else who will give the bloody healthcare I demand.
And thats my right

@333333528 tumors could be cured by someone meditating for a month straight, eating 100% of there vitemans a day, and then getting gene manipulated THC directly on the tumour, the stopping of cell production from the meditation would naturally fight it off easily at that point, the tumour cells would stop growing, then that person could simply smoke like compressed weed all day, and then eat hemp cerial, in hemp milk

swu880 1 year ago
@swu880 that may be true, but i think what his overall implication is is that the uninsured americans have a problem that can't be remedied by our current health care practices. The best route is socialized healthcare.
theseadaddy77 1 year ago
ok enough with the sob stories- none of these morons have What is govt role in the private sector? The only role for govt is to get its ass out of the private sector and not micromanage & regulate the shit out of buisinesses. Its called respecting my personal property. If they cant do that, well they are fired & possibly arrested for violating my rights
swu880 1 year ago
@swu880 hm... interesting. it's actually the private sector that's the problem now. the private sector has the government in its pocket, and it's also the private sector that's screwing up healthcare. insurance- privatised and uber rich. drug companies- privatized and rich. they may be federally regulated, but doesn't that count for absolutely nothing when you practically control the government? how can it be that elected government workers from congress quit and go work for these guys?
theseadaddy77 1 year ago
@swu880 it's no coincidence. it's because the privatized insurance guys pay these government workers to pass laws that are only in the interests of their privatized companies. it gets to where even those who supposedly have insurance are under attack from their very insurance agencies and can't get medical help even though they meet their premiums. please do your research. 62 percent of bankruptcies happen because of outrageous medical bills that the insurance companies won't cover.

@robinhood2be i totally agree. the prob is that ppl don't do their research. they just watch the news and allow the news to color their thinking without actually asking foreign citizens, "What's your healthcare like?" "Tell me about your government and how effective do you think it is?" We'd learn more that way. My husband and i are considering getting citizenship in another country because of this issue and many more and are trying to get a feel for all the different perspectives.

see either way someones not going to have health care. either poor people, or older people. You have to admit that there is a lot more older people who need more care than the people who can't afford it. look at it that way.
IluouveRWJ 1 year ago
@IluouveRWJ why should anyone have to choose, though? how about a healthcare system where both can be taken care of? in the UK it's already like that, and even in the Americas? How about the US is actually not number one in healthcare overall? it's because it doesn't have full coverage. shocker. but there are systems that can support the weight of massive and complete healthcare systems funded by the taxpayers. that system just requires though that no one get mega rich. where'd robin hood go? :(

Do you?
JJohn749 1 year ago
@JJohn749 well under our current system as a whole- political, economical, you name it, the whole shebang- you're rt, government-regulated medicare would be a bad venture. for this to work we'd completey have to revise our system and shut down the vast majority of big businesses, because they've made it so that the average person can't get the proper healthcare. for this to work, our system would have to mirror England's or Canada's or France's, where the people say what goes. true democracy
theseadaddy77 1 year ago

JJohn749 1 year ago
These 13 years of my life was dedicated to developing my mind so I could provide the best care possible. So how does our President describe my physician colleagues and I? He states that instead of doing what’s best for the patient, we look at reimbursements to decide patient care. He states we do unnecessary tonsillectomies for a “sore throat” to make money (youtube video: Obama- Doctors taking tonsils out for money).
JJohn749 1 year ago
As a doctor, I am extremely disappointed by President Obama’s statement that physicians perform unnecessary procedures/surgeries out of greed. My patients come first. When I made the decision to become a physician, I wanted to dedicate my time and life to providing the best and most compassionate care possible. After receiving a bachelors in science (4 years), I went to medical school (4 years) and residency (5 years).

All this talk about a public option but it was never mentioned during the campaign. There is no such thing as the idea of public option mentioned in any of the 2007 and 2008 primary and presidential debates. Obama ended up including the mandate that Hillary and Edwards campaigned on, other than that his plan is pretty much what he described during the campaign.
patitofeo76 1 year ago
so Obama was against a mandate before he was for it?
at least he still demonized the evil evil insurance companies back then...

haha anyone who is against healthcare reform is STUPID.
plain and simple.
it hasn't effected the average american income by the government spending TRILLIONS of tax dollars on a war in iraq that costs lives so how is spending a THOUSANDTH of that money in order to save fellow american lives so bad ???.
unless you are an idiot who doesn't understand, a rich person with a interest in healthcare, someone who enjoys pain and death or someone who hates the constitution you should be pro reform.

@Albyiscool
ok if you really want to pay astronomical healthcare bills to be under the false protection of a company who will allow you to die whenever they can save a dollar, then fair enough.
if you think its good that america has 37th in quality healthcare but most expensive in price, fair enough.
if you think its fair that 18,000 innocent americans die because they are poor, fair enough.
if you are a brainwashed dipshit, then you are an average anti reform american
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
well atleast fucking back up what your saying.
universal healthcare would be a good thing according to the constitution. in which it never says anything about a free market but does say we should do everything to help our fellow people.
and who am i brainwashed by?, you on the other hand listen to much to the COMPLETELY 100% biased billionaire media which is run by the people who own the health corporations.
universal healthcare works fine in every country its in
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
It says private property will be protected- ergo capitalism is the de facto economic system of the US
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
you clearly haven't read the constitution, and you dont know shit if you think the government runs healthcare in a universal healthcare system, tax money covers a independent system like that of the NHS here in the UK.
and yes the same billionaires who run the biased news corporations have money in healthcare such as Rupert Murdoch, if you dont believe that then look at there fucking healthcare sponsors.
and it works amazingly in countries its in so why do you think it would fail
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
3) you believe bullshit lies because it doesn't bankrupt other nations and is infact several times cheaper for every person the private healthcare, i would know
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
1) no universal healthcare isn't anything to do with government, it is tax money that covers healthcare for all..
2) and yes the founding fathers would want universal healthcare because they wouldn't agree with 18,000 americans dyeing because they have no money and the rest being robbed by huge corporations.
3) obamacare is shit it is a good to an extent but is NOT universal healthcare, europes in debt because of american banks collapsing DUE TO NOT HAVING ENOUGH GOVERNMENT CONTROL
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
1. I mean... if something uses tax money, it has to do with the govt.
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
yes single payer is good and works, you dont know what your talking about.
and its an international crisis and its in america aswell which is not at all socialized, it has nothing to do with being socialized thats just a good thing to have in any developed country
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Now that we've finally settled that.
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
omg america isnt socialized to any extent.
you fucking trust the government enough to pay them shitloads in tax and give them the power to have the worlds largest military with nuclear weapons, but not to spend a bit of that money on stopping the poor from dieing.
and how the fuck is it in effective to make sure your fellow citizens dont die, imagine if you were dirt poor and diagnosed with cancer then you would give a fuck, and what elderly people with no income should just die ?
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
omg! what do you call social security, medicare, medicaid, welfare, housing, food stamps, etc.
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@colour749
Most of those who don't have h/c are illegal immigrants or just chooes not to buy it
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
paying private industry makes for shit healthcare because they want to do as little as they can for the highest cost to the consumer,
a government system actually works according to what is NEEDED.
and why do you wish to protect a handful of billionaires who hoard money and couldn't give a shit about you.
and people are poor for many reasons not because they choose to be, it isn't a fun life, people who have disabilities or lost there jobs dont deserve to be downgraded in society
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
yes but healthcare is a fucking human right not a "business" and works far better when you play it as the former.
and no i dont hate business
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
where does this human right come from? since when must rights be paid for by someone else? are we going to force richer people to pay for everyone? or force doctors and hospitals to work for free?
and it seems like you do, since you hate it when people make money
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
no i dont hate it when people make money i love making money, but why must people die because they dont have it, when universal healthcare works in every country its in FAR BETTER THEN THE AMERICAN SYSTEM IN EVERY WAY.
YOU PAY MORE IN THE PREMIUMS THEN YOU WOULD FOR A FREE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THAT WOULD COVER EVERYONE AND BE BETTER.
QUALITY.
A HUMAN LIFE IS WORTH MORE THEN ANY MONEY CAN BUY
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
and yet you still haven't proved that govt run h/c in other countries works better.
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
nothing is free that is corrent but you do not have to pay like a buisness because tax covers it.
and your argument is completely flawed if you just decide to be a little kid and say things like
" the w.h.o change there statistics to favour socialist countries "
blah blah blah why would you say something that fucking stupid.
it is a fact that healthcare has better results at a lower cost in countries with single payer, NO ONE ARGUES THAT.
and ahahahaha rationing !? THATS A LIE!
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
but have you actually read the WHO study? do you know HOW they get their rankings? if you did, you would know that I am absolutely correct in that sense
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH SYSTEMS I KNOW
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool

it works fine here in the uk and doctors agree just copy us
colour749 1 year ago

I have studied the Constitution and many Supreme Court cases. You don't even need to copy and paste- you could just cite where in God's name it happens.
But listen, WE are not the UK. I understand you have a bit of a debt problem yourselves over there....well OURS is going to be bigger because we are the 3rd largest country in the world. Our economy and society is just different, plain and simple.
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
we have debt because of PRIVATE industry such as PRIVATE BANKS.
america has the same problems and you were even forced to become communists under George Bush and nationalize some of your banks because they had fucked you over.
also healthcare has nothing to do with society, everyone has a right to live regardless end of story
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
no national debt was built up here due to the government having to bail out many companies that found themselves in huge debt aswell as big buisness llike banks, oh and dont forget the ridiculus spending on 2 wars one of which was illegal, welfare money is penuts compared to that shit.
and being forced to nationalize an industry does not mean its socialism thats an extreme measure.
and that last bit was the stupidest thing ive ever hear, your brainwashed and believe lies
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749
Albyiscool 1 year ago
@Albyiscool
no your wrong on the constitution never once does it say the rich should thrive whilst the poor die.
never once does it say that healthcare companies have to exist.
but it does say that, everyone should do anything to better the life's of the working american and protect the trade unions, SUCH AS UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE< WHICH WORKS FINE AND DOES JUST THAT IN EVERY UNTRY ITS IN EVEN FUCKING CUBA HAVE IT.
and that military spending is way above any welfare spending thats fact
colour749 1 year ago
@colour749

Capitalism equals corruption. A profit motivation does not ensure that a business will run ethically.
IDislikeTheWorld 1 year ago
@IDislikeTheWorld Not real capitalism. What you ment to say was, corporatism equals corruption. That kind of corruption happens when government gets too involved in the free market
Chaaarge 1 year ago
@Chaaarge
I agree, corporatism is probably what I should have said. However, don't think that government intervention causes corporate corruption.
IDislikeTheWorld 1 year ago
@Chaaarge i would wager it's actually the other way around. government is corrupted by the free market investers. they control government, and things won't change unless the common person stands up for his rights and says to hell with all of them. in other countries like England, Canada, Cuba, Greece and France, to name a precious few, health care is more effective and responsive than it is here because their systems are not greed motivated. the free market can't exist without greed.
theseadaddy77 1 year ago
@IDislikeTheWorld and in fact, apparently it ensures the exact opposite, from what i've seen. if you told them there was a way they could go in your house, shoot everyone dead and collect a huge profit from that, they'd find a way to legalize it just so they could reap a benefit off it. walmart practically does that already, just short of actually committing the murder on its own. look into how walmart take insurance on employees that are sick. i saw a special on it. very chilling.

@01mclaren Having a military paid for by the people doesnt inherently make you socialist politically fool. Having a military is a necessity, soldiers have families who have to eat cock licker. So a soldier should leave their family and volunteer for free under your fucked up nonsense? LOL, fuck off you stupid little schmuck.
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@guitarplayer4real Chill dude your reaction was awesome and exactly what I was after! Does America not think it is the best, most advanced Army in the world? If that is paid for by taxes and people then why must healthcare instantly become so poor and a waste of money? It's all about priorities, and America has them backwards at this stage.
01mclaren 1 year ago
@01mclaren Do you really think that people wont slack knowing they arte paying for the extra fat in this country? I dont even know if we're the most advanced Army these days, thats probably a matter of opinion:-) I wont relax until the socialist/ communist threat is gone. Been to defendeducation (dot) org and seen the sponsorship list? Damn right I dont agree with the snotty nosed punks in the country.

@guitarplayer4real "I wont relax until the socialist/ communist threat is gone" Threat? What's the threat? Cheaper healthcare. Damn that's scary.
01mclaren 1 year ago
@01mclaren My stance has nothing to do with healthcare in general, there really are those who 'deserve' help. If you are not from America then you have no argument with me sincde I have a lifetime invested here and you do not. Under this shit Obama plan business owners are abused and taken advantage of and the real underlying problems remain, which is people.
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@01mclaren So, are you from Canada or Australia? Have you done any research on the percentage of slackers milking the system? Its going to go from bad to worse here as the gangbangers and low life's figure out how to abuse their new 'give me' system. Have a couple babies, maybe 5 or 6 since you get more bennies for that, food stamps, free meds lol.. Yea right, I support that:-)
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@guitarplayer4real Neither, New Zealand. And if you haven't experienced a public healthcare system you cannot argue your point against it since I have lifetime invested in decent, affordable healthcare (see it goes both ways and you have basically said you don't know what you are talking about!). People will always abuse a system. If it's not the poor, it's the rich. You are not reforming healthcare for the poor. It's for everyone.
01mclaren 1 year ago
@01mclaren NZ, that figures as I keep threatening to move there lol!! The part that is hard for you to argue is not a healthcare system itsself, its the inherent nature of the people in this country that you have to see. America used to be one of the hardest working peoples hour for hour of anyone on the planet in general. The laws of the last 20, 25 years have allowed for gross abuse of the welfare system, its bad!!!
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@guitarplayer4real I dont argue that we need to take care of ours, plus some around the world which we have always done. However, the pharmaceutical co's, the lawyers (Obama is one) and Uncle Sam all are set up to be abused. the US already makes money on its sick. The pharm. co's have paid for R&D 1000 times over and are into pure 5000% profits. Healthcare is affordable if these abuses are stopped. I dont want the gov. issuing me shit. The gov does not run America.
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@guitarplayer4real Who stops these abuses then? What's wrong with the drug company making 5000% profits? It is, after all a business and thats the aim of business. That sounds like a good business to me.
01mclaren 1 year ago
@01mclaren I actually agree with that 'free enterprise' statement. I'm still not sure how to stop the abuse but I honestly feel like the socialized system, gov. issued healthcare, that it will be ripe for even more abuse than before. I might be entirely wrong but what I see here tells me that its going to get a lot worse. I actually like the idea of healthcare, my coverage has always been poor.. working man syndrome.
guitarplayer4real 1 year ago
@guitarplayer4real Its only this last 8 years that I was able to start a business and employ people but that all fell apart as soon as Obama took office. I have'nt been able to hire any of my 3 employee's back in a little over a year. Speaking of business, most in my shoes are in the same boat. Small business is in dire straights with no work happening, the economy is at a standstill for most. The stimulous helped temp large projects but nothing else.

No matter who you are, you should agree with that!
phillipmarch22 1 year ago

The only way to cover everybody is to MANDATE IT. - John Edwards
That should have raised flags WAY before Obama's "Spread the Wealth" comment.

I don't give a fuck to take care of poor ass people who couldn't afford to take care of themselves!!! Seriously! This is fucked! Me and my family are good and healthy, and hardly EVER need to go to the hospital...almost NEVER! Why do we have to pay for them?
