you can put a boxer in mma and he has a good shot at winning if he can keep it on his feet he has a good shot but you could not put the likes of lets say brock lesnar in a boxing match as he would get flogged i am a fan of them both to compare is comparing apples and oranges and who cares what joe rogan says he is a dick

I don't know if this is going to work it might but...I don't know.I think Oscar De La Hoya just wants to get in MMA and I think hes going to buy Affliction from them.And call it Golden Boy MMA.

I like MMA and boxing, nuthin wrong wit seeing them on the same event. But I agree its not good for EITHER company, cuz which ever one has the more violent KO will show the other one up. And since its Golden Boy they will bring the better talent if this happens. It will be interesting thats 4 sure.

I think it would be pretty smart with joining just like you said I think this will just get more people intrested in the sport it may not help them in the long run but it might in the short run IMO.

Yer it wasn't a very smart move if you look at it from an MMA organisations point of view but as you said, Affliction probably needed money and Golden needed fans an viewers so that's why they joined. But yer as an MMA fan i'd rather watch a full card of MMA then a card with 4 boxing matches and 4 MMA matches.

I think part of the appeal of the show is that you guys look like regular Joes. I think concentrating on the content in the vids (like you've been doing) is good enough.

Affliction is done.. i'll be surprised if they actually go through on their next show. They're done sometime in 2009.

Haven't mma and boxing cards been done this year already? I think there were some in LV. One had to do with ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Anyway, I remember hearing about it earlier this year and kinda lost interest once I saw who was on the card.

I lost interest in boxing a long time ago. Unless the card featured fights like Couture vs. Fedor, and maybe a Hopkins vs. Roy Jones Jr. rematch, I probably wouldn't be interested.
