Palette Smackdown: MAC vs UNII vs ZPalette

I'm kinda new with palettes but, when you buy them is it just the case, or does it come with eye shadows included? (I know it's a stupid question, sorry!) And if it's not so, can you personalize the color you want?

@ana13910 They don't come with eyeshadows. They're just used for you to store your own eyeshadows, or any thing else you can depot. You can't personalize them, but you do have options to choose from! Hope that helps.

I think that if instead of storing your eyeshadows like tihis on your unii, 0 0 0 0

0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

You stored them like this:

0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

0 0 0 0 0

You'd be able to fit more in there.

The Unii Palette is terrific for putting your depotted blushes & e/s in for daily outside the house use. For me the metal MUFE empty magnet palette is the bomb. It's a terrific large size so I can group my e/s & blushes together by color & see them all at the same time. And they're only $10 each direct from MUFE's NY store + $8.50 ship for any quantity. Just love these!

I used to have my eyeshadows in MAC palettes but after watching your video I ordered a couple of Z Palettes and they are awesome! I now have all my MAC, NYX and Milani eyeshadows organized by color. If you want to buy the Z Palette to organize the NYX eyeshadows keep in mind that you will have to de-pot them and then add a magnet to them.

It looks like you might be able to fit 14 in the Unii palette if you arrange it 5 top, 4 middle, 5 bottom.

The Z palette is bigger and has a clear case, but being made of cardboard it won't keep or last as well. Especially when traveling I think if you take the palette with you to the sink, any water around the sink could damage the Z palette I would think. Good and honest review though!

the mac palette can hold 26 e/s if u pop out the insert...another palette is the ben nye palette, it holds e/s the same size as MUFE (and ulta brand too) but it is HEAVY!

I like the way Marlena is so honest, even though she sells the Z Palette in her store, she's not pushy about it and she's also recommending the other one which she doesn't sell! I personally LOVE the Zpalette, I moved all my shadows from my MAC palettes to the Z because of the clear top! love them! I have the zebra, the leopard and a pink one.

if u put 5 shadows on top, 4 in the middle, and 5 on the bottom (in the unii pallete) you can probably get one more shadow in there! :) not trying to be "smarter than u " lol, just took it as a mini challenge!

It's basically MAC with some new added things for actual makeup artists. U get a discount if u r an artist. It has more things that an artist would need like paints and things for more of the costume-like jobs they have. U can still buy things from there if u aren't a makeup artist, u just won't get the discount. And I'm not sure if they have a website...?

Ally is completely right. Other than them being flimsy and such, it's easier for makeup artists to take the shadows all together in something than trying to take a billion single eyeshadows. It takes up less space so they can bring other, more needed things.
