  • Build higher walls is such a hard line ):

  • Can I Use This For A Cover ?

  • What key is this in? I need to know so I can transpose my sheet music to the right key!

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for posting this! Though there is not that "believe in" section in the junior version, this helped me practice for my school musical yesterday and Thrusaday! thank yuo!

  • why on earth would someone dislike this? it doesnt really make sense

  • Thanks for making this vid. I tried out for belle in my schools play and I think I made it!!!

  • @luvtheworldgirl I can't believe you got the part!!!!! I cn't wait to watch the musical it's going to be great! I luv youuuuuu

  • i <3 this song!!!!!!!!

  • where did you get this? can you send it to me?? I need the track and i can't find it anywhere!!

  • So the original Broadway lyrics are (What I'd give to return to the life that I knew lately! But I know that I can't solve my problems going back!) I know I have the first original broadway script - the copy you picked up at some used store is a very horrible script change which MUSICALS do a lot. You have been schooled. =P

  • You are wrong (littlemissharkness)! The Lyrics is Homes a lie! Because Belles home life was a lie. I thought you would have paid attention to the story just a bit more closely then that. The lyric is then followed by the original lyrics What Ive give to return to the life that I knew lately Because all Belle had to do was get lost in books and forget people existed. followed by the original But I know that I cant solve my problems going back. Belles progression into reality.

  • i cumfuses

  • I actualy have the originally lyrics from Disney and that says "homes alive " so both of you are wrong ! Nice vid

  • Im looking at my script from when i did this show and the SCRIPT says HOMES A LIE. so i guess it is LIE unless the script is lying.... which i doubt

  • @elphbwckd

There's two different versions. But if you actually look into the meaning of the song, it wold be "Home's alike." She's saying that her heart is far away and so is her home. Because home is where the heart is and her heart is far, her home is far. See what I'm saying? She wouldn't say home is a lie because she knows where her home is. Hope I helped. :)

  • hey is there a way you could post an mp3?

  • @genrocks16 yes please!!!!

  • Im using this song to get into stratford drama collage :D hope i get in :S

  • its home's a lie it has it in my script:)

  • look people, it is both i was in this mutipile time and one of my books says "home's a lie" and one says"homes alike" so quit fighting, just say which ever one you want to.

  • @Godspellgirl2009 I is definately home's a lie. That is what it says in all music books. You are correct. :)

  • Home's alike means "home is too" Her heart is far away and so is her home.

This is such a touching song... so is "change in me"

I love singing these I hope I can become Belle

  • @gamnalila in all the music books I checked it always say homes a lie not alike

  • I really don't see the point in arguing over lyrics, but if you look at them, "home's a lie" really makes no sense since she's talking about home is where the heart is and that her heart's far away so "home's alike" makes more sense. Just sayin'.

  • its ' homes alike" to stop all the argueing and misunderstandings. i did a cover of this in a recording studio

  • no i have a book where i am singing this song. tHE lyricss say it is HOMES A LIE!!!!!!!!!

  • actually it's "home's alike" btw...

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, it is "home's a lie" I have the book of sheet music.

  • thanks =]

  • i want this!

  • "And to think i complained of a dull provincial town" is suppose 2 B "But I know that can`t solve my problems going back"

  • In the Broadway she changes the words but in the sheet music it's written as she has it here

  • Yep. You are right.

  • @ Ariela1230no....

  • Love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • actually i think this song is quite easy. but very very beautiful!

  • This is so helpful! Thank you so much!

  • On the version I heard (vs. the lyrics here), it went like this:

"What I'd give to return to the life that I knew lately! But I know... that I can't...

change my problems going back... is this home?"

  • there are 2 versions.

  • this helps me practice for auditions alotttttttt! thank you bunches!

  • Amazing job, but I do have a question. Is this the original version from the musical?? Because I don't remember the part: "Is this home? Is this what I must learn to believe in"-"My hearts far far away, homes alike"

Very, VERY good job, I'd just like to know. (kinda confizled @.@)

  • thank you:D that's a good question, this is the broadway version, i just checked, and i changed the lyrics to that; but the other lyrics were the ones on the original cast recording sung by susan egan. i don't know why there's two different versions though.

  • I don't know either. I was in the High school production that the district put on and we didn't use that verse at all, so I was just a little curious. Thank you ^_^

  • thanx so much!☺

  • may you plz do this with lyrics on the screen? it would help. thx.

  • Thank you! =)
