  • Who can you think is like Orson Welles today? No one.

  • I have no words for this man!

  • Pinky: Gee Brain what do you wanna do tonight?

Brain: Same thing we do every night Pinky, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!

  • Sparkle Shirley! lol

  • Why do these people have to die?

  • Fuck off, Parkinson. You've been around too long.

  • Are you pondering what I'm pondering?

  • @skeletorphd I think so, Brain. But if Pinocchio were carved out of bacon it wouldn't be the same story, would it?

  • ORSON WOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD PRESIDENT

  • This man had everything, I mean LOOK AT HIS BEARD!!!! Its fucking awesome!

  • The man was an artistic genius and ahead of his time. A shame that he had to do commercials in the end.

  • I want his voice. It's fuckin' great.

  • There's something cute about his pouched belly. I feel like eating now.

  • This has no dislikes, good!

  • really, for anybody watching vids on the late wells or the late brando, you don't have to be a fat bastard to be successful

  • I like Brando better

  • @pdxeddie1111 who the f*** cares what you like.... what rubbish directed Brando? Who left behind a fist of masterpieces? or is it just 'acting'?

  • Fantastic clip, and so clear. Thanks for posting this, it's such a pleasure!

  • delightful, dag nab it! orson leads us away from mediocrity.

  • @DonArun1 Tout à fait.

  • Comment removed

  • Look how huge this badass walrus is!

  • @YawnGod LOL

  • What an extraordinarily smart man

  • @toby099 a most interesting man

  • Orson would have embraced YouTube and proclaimed it the greatest media since Gutenberg!

  • Où sont les sous-titres pour les français unilingues comme moi ???!!!

  • "Awesome Welles!" Love it!! He was all that and more...

  • He's so right about politicians

  • What an absolutely incredible human being. Orson Welles' modesty is astounding. A man who directed an absolute masterpiece and wants nothing to do with it. He has such an aura about him.

  • Dude is awesome...

  • I love smart people.

  • 86% INCOME TAX? Jesus. Life was hard back then.

  • Orson is one of the most fascinating artistic personalities of the 20th century. he could read out a phone book and still be compelling

  • .....seriously cinema today isnt an art anymore ...its become nothing more than a comsumer product.

  • Yeah, but its always been like that. I mean even back in the days of citizen Kane you always had those studios that made exploitation films and the like. I mean, just popping out cheap flick after cheap flick, oozing with nudity and well...haha i guess nudity was the only thing you could exploit in film back then but still, my point is that nothing has really changed, just the public's attitude.

  • @guthax20 The only thing that changed was the concent decree that allowed Indie filmmakers to play their films at theaters...then the studios bought the theaters again...which is actually ilegall as it goes against the federal competition act but no one says anything unfortunatly.

  • Love listening to Orson talk. He knew EVERYBODY. Fascinating man!!!!

  • I've seen two Orson Welles movies, citizen kane and Touch of evil. Both stand apart as the most visually awe-inspiring movies i have ever seen in my whole life

  • God I miss People Like Orson Welles.....

  • I personally love Touch of Evil and find F for Fake and Chimes at Midnight dazzling, and really feel they are just as great as Kane. Orson himself rated the Trial and Chimes at Midnight his finest achievements.

  • having been looking for this for a long time, thank you! orson welles is a true genius.

  • orson welles true genius

  • he never made a movie as good as citizen kane because hollywood wouldn't allow him to

  • Very interesting man, great raconteur. He was one man one wouldn't mind having a chat with when the occasion arises.

  • oh shut up michael.

  • Indeed--and let's not forget that he was a world traveller at 10 (sent off alone, btw), and whilst still a lad, attended several dinner parties, soirees, etc., etc., with the likes of George Marshall, Winston Churchill & Adolf Hitler...quite a life.

  • Ran a theater company at 22. Directed a masterpiece at 25. Fucked Rita Hayworth. Hows your life going?

  • @dontleademsomuch *sigh* goddamn you orson welles

  • @dontleademsomuch Yes, but it was presented as an asshole in the movie "me and orson wells" . I wonder if he was a miserable person.

  • @dontleademsomuch damn... that puts life in perspective, doesn't it?

  • @dontleademsomuch - Got his start in Ireland, where few people get starts, that alone is a MASSIVE achievement in my book, a start among the cynical.

  • @dontleademsomuch HA! brilliant, the great on himself could not have posted a greater comment

  • @dontleademsomuch left a decendent with a half a brain

  • @dontleademsomuch Never ran a theatre company at 22. I managed a recording studio at 28. Never directed a masterpiece, but about 2 hours ago I gave birth to a masterpiece that stunk up 1/3rd of my house. Never fucked Rita Hayworth, but I did have sex with a former porn star. My life is going well. . . and one thing is certain- I don't wear a suit and tie and I don't work in some fucking boring office.

  • @rayjr62 You sound like a true never been wanna be. Congratulations for never wearing a tie, and never doing much else either. As for your smelly house--don't quite know what to make of that boast.

  • @dontleademsomuch The real "most interesting man in the world," while he was alive anyway.

  • @dontleademsomuch I've fucked Rita Hayworth, but the rest ain't great.

  • @dontleademsomuch

Well said!! LOL! Compared to my life...I am nothing.

    Orson Wells is AWESOME!

  • @dontleademsomuch ok who is rita hayworth?

  • @malows1234 Famous actress in the 40s, gorgeous pinup, too.

  • "Citizen Kane" was a very good movie and, as I understand, a revolutionary work of filmmaking. That said, I do not see why it has the reputation of the "greatest film ever." On what basis do the critics come to this conclusion? Not anything quantifiable, that's for sure. In my opinion, a film cannot be the "greatest ever": there are great films of all sorts.

  • Dude, don't ever listen those lists. Those lists are created because BLockbuster, Netflix etc. want to drag you into seeing "The Greatest Film Of All Time!" Honsetly how can "Greatest" be defined. For example how much better is Citizen Kane from Seven Samurai or The Bicycle Thief: 7%??? These lists are bullshit. I really do enjoy Citizen Kane, but still believe these lists are worthless.

  • @leroyinc The same reason many people label Jimi Hendrix number one. He affected everything that came after, and if you weren't there before it can be hard to realize how influential he was, simply because his influence became pervasive and therefore commonplace.

  • more like awesome welles

  • @benhector55 clever joke.lol

  • @benhector55

Best YouTube post ever! I love that guy

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth me or orson? haha! Nahh just kidding he's a saint :D

  • Thank your for this man!

  • Fascinating man and a great voice. Interviews like this are rare these days

  • non-existent more like!

  • Parkinson = greatness

    Welles = god

  • Amen.

  • @Jonathan6561 i would say Parkinson = irritating, Welles = a very talented, interesting and genuine person
