@JDCDK That's a good point, although I drink coffee and tea at home and very seldom buy them from cafes, so that keeps it fairly cheap. The tea actually is prolly the more expensive of the two. :D
One i saw this in my subscription box I thought, who is this? and then I clicked on the video and I was like, hey thats that chick from that um umm you know what i'm talking about that umm that SANTA video YA, and then that umm you know umm wheezy waiter wink ya, this is going to be cool.
And then I finished the video, and I was totally right that was cool. I'm really looking forward to your future videos.
I see your collection of mugs is as varied as the clothes in your wardrobe. Most of this video went over my head though, I don't like coffee, not in the least bit.
@LylyCSM2 Ooh, a trick that will make that feel smoother is to say "I'd like a (small/medium/large) coffee with room [for cream]" or if you like it black, "I'd like a (small/medium/large) black coffee please."
@LylyCSM2 if you want a plan cup of coffee ask for drip coffee. They'll hand you a cup of black coffee and you can fix it your way or ask for milk in your drip.
My wife used to be a barista, working at two different independent shops. She takes her coffee *very* seriously. She only buys whole beans, stores them in a vacuum container away from sunlight, grinds them to her preferred size, no milk and only uses agave nectar as sweetener. Don't mess with her coffee.
I love the smell of coffee but I can't drink the stuff.
Have you seen the new trenta size at Starbucks? 32 ounces!
@tetsubo57 Oh my! Yes, I had coworkers go that route. I kind of went the other way, loading my coffee with cream and whatnot, though I do hate old, dried out grounds, and I also use agave nectar (though that's more because it's easier to mix than sugar).
Whoa whoa whoa, a new 32 oz Trenta size? Well that's preposterous! Silly Starbucks, Trenta means 30, not 32. Oh right, and that size is massive. People are going to drink all their daily calories!
There's also the Red Eye or Canadian. It's just like the Americano, but with filtered coffee instead of water. For someone who likes their coffee as black as poison, they are awesome!
Sorry for rude caffeine deprived customers, and sorry for all the cups you had to wash. You truely sacrifice for your art. Good job!
@ctso74 Oh yes, the red eye! I don't know if they still do this but back when I worked at Starbucks, the red eye was one shot added to coffee, and the black eye was two shots. I also forgot to mention the cafe ole, which is half steamed milk and half coffee. D'oh! ><
@arabbel I used to order a espresso shot with a middle sized brewed coffee very often. And about a year later, I was told I it's same as red eye. But before that, I thought red eye is a kind of liquor.
@JohnAnxious Hahaha, yes, I hope your next coffee experience is an fulfilling and yummy one! And try a chai, you really can't go wrong with it. Or at least it's hard to. :D
As of right now (21:54 22DEC11) this is my favourite video of all time.

This.... Explains a lot... And it also tells something about coffee but mainly how you've got that absurd level of energy.
JDCDK 1 year ago
@JDCDK There's a lot of tea in my life that helps with that as well. >< :D

@arabbel
Oh snap.. Aren't you, like, afraid that you will one day explode from that much?
JDCDK 1 year ago
@JDCDK Nah, every few months I do major caffeine detox to get it out of my system (before then going back to my several cups a day).

@arabbel
But... in its length isn't that rather expensive for a poor student (quoted: arabbel) like you?

But that is because you buy Fancy Schmancy Tea, but that is a whole different story and/or video ;-)

So when are the clones showing up to clean all those cups? Great video! Now I can go forth...and drink tea.

@DharmaScientist I wish I had had clones for it. >< But sadly, I lack those mad skillz.

Actually, I find it more difficult to order a regular cup of coffee. I feel stupid saying, "uh, I just want some coffee."

This should help me, every coffee I have ever tried has left me with the bitter taste of disappointment and crushed expectations.
