So the dodge has an advantage in that it has a greater power-weight ratio because that era of Dodges were some of the lightest diesel trucks ever. Plus the inline sixes have proven to be able to best the eights in torque production at low rpm's. But yeah I agree manual is definitely the way to go.

lol MPLSTORM has posted shit on every video ive ever seen involivin a cummins and ford and ya cummins is my favorite engine by far but i do love fords my dad drove a 1990 non turbo 7.3 for more than 600k sold it was runnin fine but had Tcase problems upgraded to a new welding truck 2002 f-350 7.3 6spd 280k goin strong =) i drive a 97 ford allthough its a gasser 5.8L has 170k no problems so far tryin to find a 12valve engine ima swap into my 97 gasser anyways nice truck!
I don't see why all three aren't good engines. I personally prefer the big six dodge has to offer with cummins over v8s, but that's just me. I like what works good! As far as concerned thats all 3, i love diesels man. People have better luck than others with some, hell, i use ford motor oil in my cummins. It works good.

the old 79 F-100 ranger we got with a Jasper 302 and Jasper Transmission is set up to carry 3/4 ton. might be old rusted ol truck, aslongs it does the job. might lose to a Dodge in a race but i can out pull a dodge, well get a 2wd dodge out when it sucked in the ground and the old ford is 2wd.. i seen a 2wd chevy puled a 4wd dodge out of the dodge, the dodge was my dad's truck. but he is a ford and chevy man.9 times in the shop for a 97 model, tranny slippin. should of kept the 97 ford

ok why do we argue whos better when you can find vids of blak beating blank all day long the cummins are a stronger motor than the ford except the 7.3 which is a pretty good motor. not to say ford sux casue i like fords dodges and chevys. but the newer fords like the 6.0 and 6.4 do they have a crpily built "3 piece block" which get problems after 50,00 miles i know have two friends whose 6.0s fall undert the lemon law. but with the new "scorpion" motor comin out they shouldnt have any probs

@davisteelers14 well to tell ya the truth the cummins has a much better hp to torque ratio my 92 cummins has 235 hp / 600 ftlbs torque so i have almost as much torque with half the hp so bassicly by the time i reach 500hp ill be at about 1000+ ft lbs and also my peak tq is at 1800 rpm down low where it count in pulling

lol MPLSTORM has posted shit on every video ive ever seen involivin a cummins and ford and ya cummins is my favorite engine by far but i do love fords my dad drove a 1990 non turbo 7.3 for more than 600k sold it was runnin fine but had Tcase problems upgraded to a new welding truck 2002 f-350 7.3 6spd 280k goin strong =) i drive a 97 ford allthough its a gasser 5.8L has 170k no problems so far tryin to find a 12valve engine ima swap into my 97 gasser anyways nice truck!

I don't see why all three aren't good engines. I personally prefer the big six dodge has to offer with cummins over v8s, but that's just me. I like what works good! As far as concerned thats all 3, i love diesels man. People have better luck than others with some, hell, i use ford motor oil in my cummins. It works good.
