I'm not a Bible scholar, but the "contradictions" you talk about are when people take things out of context. You see examples all the time on television. A newsperson will take a few seconds out of a three minute comment and give it a particular slant. Also, Bible prophesies are very accurate.

matt and luke are two different genealogies, one through mary, the other through joseph, joseph's was cursed (jehoachim/jeconiah) so therefore could not be Jesus' actual genealogy. and if you read luke 3:23, youll notice that it doesnt say that joseph's dad was heli, "son of" is a term of descendence, hence "Jesus the son of David" (or Heli) doesnt mean His dad was david.. due to a proviso found in the book of numbers, genealogy can be traced through the mother in certain cases (as was Jesus')

Thomas means "twin" in aramiac , I am curious though as to why he was called this. Apparently his name was Judas so perhaps it was to distinguish him from the other two Judas especially Iscariot. Is there any traditions that say Thomas enjoyed teaching with riddles? Ive heard somewhere about this

The different books of the new testament were written in difeerent places at different dates, and from the language characteristics, this cannot be true. probably one or two gospels had an aramaic form, at most, but it's dubious.

The people that knew Jesus spoke Aramaic. That was the language of the holy land at that time...not greek. So it's just a matter of common sense. When it comes to the gospels, there is no such thing as absolute proof because nobody has the original copies of the gospels

But not a big literary language like greek was at the time in the Easter Mediterranean. Matthew may come from a semitic source, but it was finally redacted in Antioch in Greek. Luke is certainly Greek, its words, its style, and the church tradition says so atributing it to St. Luke, an helenistic physician. Of course the oral tradition about Christ was first in aramaic and then put in written form in the Greek gospels. The Peshitta has some traits that show that is a translation from Greek.

That is a great deal of ignorance of history. Mormons,JWs,Unis and what have you are American churches. Baptists ,Lutherans other protestants have originated from Europe and only emerged in 14th century due to a era of corruption in the catholic church and protested un pious activities that had crept into the church and by doing so forced the church to clean itself up. Christ doesn't belong to any church but in the heart and scripture.
