i think the phantom is like the best aircraft just give some modern upgrades it ll be reborn and if u want to fly jets and dogfight go on ur iphone, ipod, or ipad and in the app store theirs a game named metal storm online they got wepons class aglity class and shield class
@jigar181023 I think the F-15 and A-10 should be improved even further with more damaging guns should the need ever rise again and weapons and put the tech of an F-22 cockpit in them.
The F-4 had a mini-gun placed under the nose following some MIG encounters in Vietnam in the 60's pointing out the need for guns. Funny the Phantoms in this vid don't have the gun.
No, no american carrier was attacked during the Vietnam War. Control of the sea/air was so complete, combined with the lack on the North Vietnamese side of any long-range bombers or a blue water force allowed the US Navy to use both modern and older Korean era carriers to launch land attacks against the north.
I did some research, it was not a MIG 17 but mig 19 they were fighting! I a prevvious interview Duke said whebn he flew directly at the mig, Duke said "his wing roots lit up"! Mig 17 had guns under the intake, mig 19 had guns in his wing roots!! Just my 2 c!!
One year later and it is still pretty.
