I can assure you that none of these kids will one day shoot a protected animal ^^ they use targets that look like animals to make it more fun, because at the beginning archery is for killing animals to feed oneself. And the fact they use a bear and not a rabbit, is because the bear is huge, and pretty much easier to aim for lil children. No need to argue about this...
Seriously.....what's the problem with shooting a foam archery target, regardless of what it's shaped like? It's a huge pasttime in the US. Big tournaments and some good winnings in the pro classes.
