@Nagilum3 the 5.0 L v8 and the 124 chasis was developd by merc... but this perticular model was also developed and tuned by porsche... like a joint venture. The best of two german worlds :D

i used to borrow my cousins Mercedes 500 E 1992 w124 with 18 inch AMG rims with the bolts..color was dark candy apple wine red..and beige leder with a huge phone in it..and Blaupunkt Cd system with 2x 12" bass in the back...and i remember when that when we used to go fix it..we always had to go Bosh for the electronics and service and engine..not gearbox and clutch..engine stuff..Mercedes send us to a special porsche firm.i wanted to trade my 1993 BMW m5 e34 3.8l with dinan chip boost 400+hp.

Wrong. It was 100% pure Mercedes, only assembled at Porsche (due to the 500-typical wide fenders), but all with Mercedes parts.

i own both of these perfect cars, each one is beautiful in their own way..both are a dream to have and drive, you cant really compare v8 with a straight 6, M5 is more agressive, E500 more comfortable..still when you show up in either of these beauties, they are both a head turner and were the top of their class back in the days. both were limited production cars, what we dont know is if the m5 was a 3.5 (japan specs),3.6,or the later 3.8 engine!?

Die Automatik im 500 E ist lang. Die dreht bei 260 in den Begrenzer, da ist nichts lang.

Typisch BMW-Fahrer. Komplexe, sobald ein Mercedes schneller ist. Und der 500E IST schneller als deine träge Schaukel. Hatte ihn selber und ein 750iL war kein Gegner.

@kaymalai Du hast Komplexe Freundchen, nicht ich. Ich bin begeisterter Mercedes-Fahrer. Ich kenne den M119 5.0 V8 in- und auswendig. Ich fahre ihn täglich im CL. Weiterhin hatte ich einige E420 mit ebendiesem Motor als 4.2er. Von daher weiß ich, wie gut ein E500 geht. Fakt aber bleibt: Ich hatte aber eben auch einen BMW M5 und einen Audi S6 Plus. Und wenn in diesen beiden Wagen jemand sitzt, der perfekt schalten kann, dann sind diese beiden Wagen eine Nasenlänge voraus.

Zwei Dinge musst Du lernen, Arschloch.

1.) Ich bin nicht Dein Freundchen.

2.) Der W124 500E ist IMMER schneller als der E34 M5.

Mein eigener 500er war komplett Serie und ging DEUTLICH schneller als jeder damalige M5. Du kannst diesen bärenstarken, kurz übersetzten V8 nicht mit dem krampfhaft hochgezüchteten 6-Zylinder eines M5 vergleichen. Punkt. Der 500E hat hier im Video klar gewonnen, allein schon deswegen gibt es nichts mehr dran zu diskutieren.

@kaymalai Weiterhin Freundchen: Die Mercedes-Automatik ist weich und schlapp ausgelegt. JEDER Schalter gleicher Leistung zieht im erstan Moment abartig davon. Genau damit beweißt du, dass du keine Ahnung hast. AUch die Automaten von ZF in dem BMW´s sind deutlich straffer ausgelegt. WIe gesagt: Ich fahre CL500 und 750iL und kenne die Unterschiede daher genau. Obenrum spielt das viele Drehmoment sicher eine entscheidente Rolle, dennoch fährt der S6 Plus dem E500 davon.Lust auf ein Rennen, Träumer?

@kaymalai Hier hat der E500 / 500E gewonnen, in jedem anderen Video hat er verloren. Und nun Freundchen, geh anderen leuten auf die Nerven. Ich fahre crusie mit meinem Mercedes, residiere mit meinem BMW und rase mit meinem Audi. Du kannst derweil weiter Markenhasskrieg spielen.

@crotorca Der Motor hat mich Porsche nichts zu tun. Der wurde damals lediglich bei Porsche zusammengebaut, damit die mehr Auslastung auf ihren Bändern hatten. Es ist ein ganz normaler Mercedes M119-V8 mit 5 Litern. Der km dann auch später kurzzeitig im W210 als E50 AMG zum Einsatz.

Und wie immens brutal das Ding auf 200 und auch ab 200 geht, kannst Du in den diversen Tachovideos sehen. Gegen eine Mercedes-Automatik kam damals KEIN Schaltwagen an. Allein schon beim Start,wenn das Schaltgetriebe erstmal aufheulte, ging der -manuell in den 1. Gang geschaltete- Automatik-Benz eine Wagenlänge in Führung. Und die Gangwechsel sind regelrecht fliegend, so schnell kannst Du gar nicht kuppeln.

Von der Durchzugskraft ab 200 will ich gar nicht erst reden....

@kaymalai Du bist eben doch nur ein kleiner unterschichtiger Fratz, der hier bisschen große DInge redet, von denen er nichts versteht. Dein Hass auf BMW beruht sicher auf Neid. Denn kein vernünftiger Mercedes Fahrer hasst BMW; nur weil er BMW heißt. Der M5 ist gut gefahren flotter, ich beweiß es dir gern. Der Audi S6 Plus ist noch eine Ecke schneller als beide.

@kaymalai Schaltet der M5-Fahrer nicht ganz so optimal, dann hat der E500 wieder die Nase vorn. SO einfach ist das. Leute mit diesem lächerlichen Markenhass sind wirklich armselig. Wieso muss man BMW hassen, wenn man Mercedes fährt und umgekehrt? So ein Schwachsinn! Hasst lieber prollige Kleinwagenhitschen mit Spoilern. Solche Fahrzeuge und deren Besitzer sind hassenswert. Zum 750iL hab ich kein Wort gesagt. Der E32 750iL ist definitiv langsamer als ein E500, keine Frage.
