Still like The Buckinghams. Saw them live before they became 'somebody'. Must of been the winter of 65' or 66 at Chicago's 'Custom Car & Hot Rod Show'. Me and my bud Johny were walking around and then heard some music and went over. They were fabulous. I think they played there for free :-) Now the Buckinghams play at Chicago suburban 'Village Fests'. Saw them a couple years ago, still good.

Makes me proud to be a Chicagoan. The Buckinghams were from the same part of town where I grew up. I remember hearing at the time they played at a kid's club in my neighborhood that my sister belonged to and went to see them. Also, there's always someone who knows someone who knows them, but at least I was there in the vicinity! Great songs and this one was their first hit!

Originally they were from the Chicago area. They moved to the west coast to further their career. Always liked this group. Susan was a great song too. Kind of a drag wasn't . . . a drag. Yes, they are good, however, they would not have as successful had it not been for Gary Beisber and Jim Hollvay writers of many of their songs. These writers were a part of a group called The Mob and this group was tops. It has puzzled me for years that they never made it to the top.

The Mob had fantastic musicians.
