this is the same song performed under "Mongolian overtone singer-Amazing!" and it is, especially since he hits the notes as high as this woman, and as low as a Russian Baritone...but thanks for the title and this alt. version!
I do believe the singer is Khongorzul. If you compare the sound, the presentation in the posting "Mongolian Folk Song - Mirage in the Horizon" by Baatarjav, I think it is hard to say they are two singers. And the height and age of the singer seem more like Khongorzul. By the way, she is an amazing long song singer, even in this circumstance of no stage, no mic. Actually, I think she presented better here, more relaxed and more penetrating to the air and to the heart.
Nobody sings the Mongolian Blues (or, "Long Song", as it's called) quite like Ganbaatar Khongorzul. She's from the heart, not just from the vocal chords. I'm fairly certain that this is her -- though it a pity that the acoustics are opposite of what this vocal style was made for (open, echoing spaces).
Since Khongorzul G. toured with the Silk Road Ensemble during a similar Silk Road exhibition around the same time, I assumed this was her. The voice is very similar to hers -- though you're right, there's a slightly different tone (I originally attributed it to the poor acoustics, not to the possibility of it being another singer...)
Well, regardless of who she is, she has a wonderful voice, and I'd love to hear more of it.
I love mongolian music. Woman have beautiful high voices and men have a good deep voice. You don't find music as pure as this in here. amazing

This is not Enigma of course. Enigma got the song from them. But see how beautiful this is.
Enigma is of course one of my favorites. But they can't even come close to this.

Title of the song is "Alsiin gazriin zereglee" (A mirage at a distance).
Was also sampled in an enigma's song.
