One risk of doing duets is that it often shows who is the better singer. Neil Diamond's voice clearly has more depth and character. Sedaka is great, but Diamond is better. Another duet that shows who is better is Elton John and Billy Joel. Elton is clearly the better performer. Elton did a better job singing Billy's songs than Billy did! Another great voice that stood out when combined with other artists is Roy Orbison. Roy made Tom Petty and Bob Dylan sound like amateurs.
