Yikes! Push them down as soon as they are empty! There's no need to wait! I pumped this organ during the dedication recital- for the piece written by Dan Locklair. Talk about challenging! It was a real treat, though.
Oh, and I would not want to be the organist and know that this crew was pumping! To think they provided three bellows to avoid any interruption in the wind, and here two of them are idle while the third is but seconds from running out!

Gosh! I live less than thirty miles from this organ! I didn't know the restoration included manual winding!
