  • this organ was in storage for nearly 100 yrs. when restored an electric blower was added with a timer but the hand pumps were retained for demonstration.

  • Yikes! Push them down as soon as they are empty! There's no need to wait! I pumped this organ during the dedication recital- for the piece written by Dan Locklair. Talk about challenging! It was a real treat, though.

  • Oh, and I would not want to be the organist and know that this crew was pumping! To think they provided three bellows to avoid any interruption in the wind, and here two of them are idle while the third is but seconds from running out!

    A good calcant never allows a bellows to empty out while the organ is being played.

  • Never used a video camera before, eh?

  • How does the organ wait for the previous one to go all the way up before starting the next one?

  • Gosh! I live less than thirty miles from this organ! I didn't know the restoration included manual winding!
