Obama's Audacity of Hope is a great book if you are interested in his thinking process, and values. To be a successful politician you must understand both sides of the argument, and work to take both into account to create a solution. He understands this. He is a man if integrity and compassion.

Ironically I was given the book from my republican mother in law, who read the book and has decided to vote for Obama.

Obama and McCain say they want special interest groups out of Washington, Obama has not accepted money from federal lobbyists or political action committees, and the day after he won the nomination he instructed the Democratic National Committee to no longer accept Lobbyist or PAC money.

While McCain is literally "in bed" with lobbyists, Obama is not accepting their money

Sadie, I want the restoration of the middle class. I want politicians to be accountable. I want a president who will not mislead Americans and lead us into a war. I want a president who uses the military in a responsible fashion, and who is intelligent enough to come up with an end game. I want a president who can use diplomacy and the military effectively.

Barack Obama is interested in doing away with partisan politics. He has a record of reaching across the aisle, and will continue to bring everyone into the discussion. The US has progressively gotten further into partisan politics in the last 20 years, and it is a dead end.

Dodgefanatic: We are indeed moving to nonpartisan but it is not a good thing and barack is not responsible for that.Doesn't matter if you are dem or rep..they are actually all in the pockets of those who really run the show. We don't want a complete partisan unity in Washington as that would mean we would be on a one way street with no DEBATES on anything! Socialism or Communism anyone! I have never defended McCain but feel he is lighter on socialism and won't move us there so quickly.

I didnt hear any but heard Obama's.

Don't get me wrong I like Paul's ideas, but he was no where to be seen.

If Ron Paul loved America so much why didn't he leave the Republican Party and run as an Independent?

Obama is our President now and I respect that.Keep in mind he is indebted to many far left groups! Ron Paul No on bailout because he has wisdom with knowledge.Obama and McCain both voted for it.Ron Paul represents the truth. Ron Paul has been on many TV and radio shows exposing the myths and many are now amazed at how right he was in the debates about our monetary system and his predictions of our economic fall which did happen. although he ws laughed at then. Great video. Oh, am I old? Let me give you an example: I saw "Postal Service" and didn't even realize it was a band! I like Obama because he cares about all ages.
