I was a bit disappointed because I loved the book, and I feel that altough these are 2 great actors, they didn't connect on screen. Also, I was very excited to see Paris, but on the film, they go to Mexico instead. I guess it was a low budget. Anyway, I liked it.

@Djinga I guess the one consolation in that is that Ethan Hawke wrote the screenplay, so I guess he was okay with altering his story. I too was surprised that they picked a Hispanic girl instead. Though I think it gives the story something a bit different this time around.

Well, Catalina Sandino Moreno is very pretty and she's a good actrees! she could play any character. well so far i saw a movie with here play there, she's got a good acting!

Thank god I read the book first. I haven't seen the movie yet. But just by watching the trailer, I can tell it does no justice to the book, the character of Sara is the book is nothing like the one in the film. The book was really, really great. It was a fst read and keeps you on your toes. Ethan def has a way with words. I'll give the movie a chance, but I recommend reading the book first.
