I believe there are two red belts your right about 1 but I believe there is another and I also thought in order to have a bjj red belt you were 67 years old. There is jiu jutsu like in china and stuff but Brazilian is the best.
Jiu Jitsu is the correct spelling and it was changed to JU JUTSU for the Latin translation they both are correct an one does not mean exlcusively traditional or BJJ. Renzo wrote a book with the title of Ju Jutsu. The Gracies changed Jiu Jitsu forever and are responsible for making it so popular and effective as it is today. They are pioneers of change and superb people if you get to know them.
I've been reading all these posts and occurs to me that 90 plus percent of you don't know anything about traditional belts colors.
Fist the young girl in the video is not a BJJ stylist. She does a different type of JJ.
Secondly red belts are used by different arts. In Korean styles a red belt is usually used by students before black.
Look around and do some research. You'll see that other arts like karate, judo, jujutsu (and all it's different spellings) use red belts for their grandmasters.
She's wearing a red belt because that's not Brazilian Jiu Jitsu she's doing. It's a different variation of Jiu Jitsu ("American") that's why the instructions are called out in Japanese and not Portuguese. And the flags on the wall are U.S and Japan not Brazil.
Though I will admit it is very strange for a Japanese based style to use a red belt for a student rank. Usually Korean arts do that. In Japanese arts (karate, judo, jujutsu, etc.) red belts are normally only used by 9th and 10th degrees.
I think that everone gets into the MMA thing and then automatically think's they are a professional, it's funny what these "martial artists" focus on during this video. Not the technique, but wether or not the red belt she is wearing is warranted with a BJJ redbelt. Kinda stupid if you ask me, and this shit gets irritating, just because you have done 6 months of BJJ DOES NOT make you a pro. American JJ doesnt even promote like BJJ so there is no comparison here
For martial artists you all seem to be such bitter, closed-minded losers... oh wait, you're NOT martial artists, just trolls! Obviously the ranks are different in different systems, so just deal with it. I never said this was BJJ because it's not. It's American JJ and the ranks are what I explained.
This is American jiu jitsu. The ranks are white, yellow, orange, green, red, blue, purple, brown, and black. The kids belts are different. Different schools may also do the ranks differently too. Personally, it took me about 3.5 years to get to blue belt.
this is stupid fake red belt, this isn't "American JJ" its all just jj -.- your region doesn't change the name

I do see where you're coming from but this is a different system I believe (AJJ). Yeah in BJJ the only redbelt was the legend himself Helio.
