  • Tooooooooooooop sound.......

  • Hey how and or how did you get the new pipe prebent or did you have to get that done?

  • stock tailpipes generally last 10+ years so why do you think a stock replacement would only last a few months?

  • nice tip

  • make the tailpipe go straight out...and put a fat long tip on the end ..gives it better sound

  • i have a 2000 tahoe z71 .last of the 5.7 . does anyone know where i can get some headers

  • let me guess ..this comment is coming from a 15 year old punk ..

  • @josecastillonyc HEY i'm 15! =]

  • @C0d4xGOd Yeah, that goes 0-60 in what, 5 minutes?

  • Yeah, growing balls could mean a whole new motor.

  • hahah hell yeah

  • sounds good

  • sounds nice

  • why go with a flowmaster if your going to put a cheap tail pipe

  • its just pipe, what difference does it make?

  • so it will all rust out evenly.... in about 3 months LOL thats why my flowmasters are sitting ing the garbage pile behind my garage

  • GET STAINLESS YOU DUMB FUCK

  • magnal flow huh? they made by the mongles? with some rice and patty field workers? dumb fuck.

  • lol i dont give a fuck who makes it ya dumb fuck

  • Man you are so fucking stupid. Read what you typed and my response and see if you can figure out what i was saying, just give it a shot.

  • as long as it sounds good, it doesnt matter

  • dude if your going to invest money in your truck do it the right way . a few month from now you will have to replace that tailpipe.

  • @josecastillonyc he probably replaced it all from the cat back with what looks like factory stuff probably from an auto parts store

  • @josecastillonyc because it's going to sound the same either way

  • thats a no-no when it comes to piping exhausts. supposed to go with mandrel bent

  • i have super 40 true dual on my 2001 4WD tahoe. sounds much loud and more popping noise. why didnt you get tips?

  • Hey Tundra, just shut the fuck up. Rice loving fag

  • fuck u. all i said was what i thought and asked a question. thanks for ur input though it helped a lot.

  • ehh ;/

  • Just gut the cat lol take it out knock all the honeycomb out and put it back in no one will tell the diffrence.

  • that looks like the underneath of a blazer what is it if you dont mind me askin?

  • its a 95 Chevy Tahoe

  • If it not iellegl you should cut them out. The gm tbi motors dont have 02 sensors behind the cats so its really easy,Also why would you leave a 13 year old cat on and but new muffler and tailpipe?

  • my cat on my truck is 18 and i just bought a new magnaflow 4 my truck your point is maybe he didn't want 2 change the cat cause it cost way to much 2 much

  • You can get performance cats at Summit for around 50 dollars ...that doesn't make any sense. Why would you buy a new exhaust and not replace something so cheap?

  • Erhm no maybe you misread and didn't see the second zero I haven't seen performance cats worth buying below 500

  • Well you get what you pay for these days. The days of good performance parts at a cheap price are just about gone.

  • I now thats why I go the cheap route and just take out the cats all together it gives more performance and FREE fuck global warming shit isnt even proven or real

  • cats are made from pure stainless steel and are SUPPOSED to last the time of your car. mufflers are cheap metal and can be rust and have to be exchanged.

  • where have you gotten this info from,

cause its all wrong as hell

  • i guess i could be wrong. so tell me what it actually is if u know. Also y didnt u just say what they r actually made from, and not just say im wrong.

  • I know that the catylast inside the cat converter can go bad, causing nasty smell and failed emissions. I replaced mine with a 3in highflow walker cat to improve airflow from the increase engine performance mods that I put on (headers, tbi spacer, 3 inch pipes all the way out) no muffler. Cats can go bad, just like anything else on a car.

  • They're made of platnum

  • cats arent made of platinum. they have a trace amount in the honeycomb material on the inside

  • @chevytruck123 i was thinkin about gettin a setup thats quiet at idle but rumble when goin. only because my baby rides in there

  • Need new tires

  • what mpg did you get

  • Dude yall all talkin about cats and junk why dont yall just cut the some bitch out and be over with it.. like the cops are gona pull you over and give you ticket for no cats like they give a damn..hell no

  • Depends on where you are. I am in Virginia and they are really strict about having no cats, I have they $115 ticket to prove it!

  • No cat tickets, I got slapped with disturbing the peace instead. That's what happens when your vehicle is so loud that the police forget about emissions laws.

  • my dads' 6-cylinder jeep had some problems with the catty converter rattling!! we just put it on our car hoist and cut the converter open with a die grinder and pulled all the catalyst foam stuff out and welded her back up then threw the stuff in the trash!!! the sensor is still there and everything!! never rattle again!

  • highflow cat. it makes it sound better and its legal. i did it to my v6 mazda b4000 and it sounds like a v10 its aweseome

  • i think you need some rings in that motor for starters ..ya it does sound nice ..

  • if you gut the cat, use some of the expanding foam insulation inside the heat sheild to stop it from rattling and if you get into trouble with emissions laws then cant tell if its gutted by banging on it

  • Thank you i will keep that in mind!

  • Using flammable expanding foam on you exhaust system. Whats wrong with that sentence?

Do the right thing and if you don't require the cat by law and your oxygen sensor is ahead of it or you don't care about the law (like me) cut it out and throw it far away.

If you HAVE to have one by law and want to obey but a performance one and you problem will be solved either way. :)

  • don't throw cat converters away! they are worth some serious cash at scrap yards

  • Gettin ready to eather gut the Cat or just cut the cat off and pipe it to the muffler. Or by a highflow cat. any ideas?

  • @Stodyrulz The honeycomb inside my cat had broken up a few years ago and I just now got around to fixing it last night. I went to the auto parts store bought a 2 1/2" pipe and ran it from the front where the cat used to be to the muffler, it was a little short so i had a piece of stainless steel and welded that onto the end of the pipe and the muffler and its sounds mean now! its a 97 4.0 inline 6 engine. got rid of the loud/annoying rattle and got a deep, mean sound now, muffler is still on!

  • @Stodyrulz did you gut the cat?
