Pathetic how some useless unknowns have to piss all over the memory of lovely people like George in the manner they have in this thread. George would just laugh at it all because he never cared what anyone thought of him.
what a great song this is . the harmony is spot on . the band is the greatest ever seen , what more could you want . this boy oi greg ..... australia :)
I forgot I had music on in the background when I started watching this. It was the first song on "The Dark Side of the Moon", which surprisingly fit this video well.
Hope you and John are peacefully writing music up in heaven waiting for Paul and Ringo so that you can entertain everybody up there.... well it's nice to imagine anyway.
@TwoUselessLegs -I am really tired of your garbage, shut up already you moron!
You wish you had george harrisons georgous looks to attract women the way he did.
And your just obviously Jealous of him, or you would not be going out of your way like an idiot on every one of his videos mocking him.
You wish you had georges singing voice, talent, success, great songs, great looks and the great man he was, than you would'nt be the loser and coward you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@TwoUselessLegs im sorry did you just compare George Harrison to a cheeseburger or a potted plant, one of the greatest guitar players of all time, the composer of 'Something' and 'While my guitar gently weeps', the producer of the best comedy film ever made, he didnt hitch his wagon to Lennon and McCartneys rising star he simply joined his mates band as a young lad because they knew he was a great guitarist and a funny guy, he had more talent than you will ever have you trolling piece of shit
@Beatlesonlyblog - Poor George! He seems to attract such an awkward fan base. Teenagers and housewives. Little wonder his documentary is already forgotten!
Yeah, there's a reason George is way in the back here. I heard he's just moving his mouth. That this harmony is really just John and Paul. Poor George, even though he's dead...he's still running up losses! His new (only) documentary skipped theaters and went straight to cable TV! Poor George!
@TwoUselessLegs he really would not have cared anyway. But I'm pretty sure it was made in partnership with HBO so, I really wouldn't count that as a loss. It was made for HBO, I think, so it was made for TV...plus most documentaries aren't made for the Theatre because they simply will not make as much money as a blockbuster. No matter who the documentry is about.
@TwoUselessLegs and one useless brain. Ridiculous comment by someone who very clearly has no comprehension of the Beatles, much less George Harrison himself.
Both John and Paul needed glasses, but wouldn't be caught in public wearing them. There are a few photographs of the Beatles in the studio with Paul wearing glasses. Of course John made wearing old fashioned round specs fashionable starting in 1967, but to this day, Paul has never been seen with glasses. Perhaps by now he's had laser surgery to correct his vision.
I think George is laughing about how hard the three part harmony was for "This Boy". This could be the clip when John raises his eyebrows when he surprised himself by actually reaching the note in the "Oh my-eye-eye" portion. - it was hard to do. "This Boy" was the best three part harmony the Beatles did until "Sun King" from Abbey Road.
@MacWillyFortunes actually george and john switched guitars since they were identical and john ended up with georges j160e. records showed that the serial number was of georges guitar . at the time of this this boy video, john hadnt had his stolen at the 1963 christmas show.
Just when you think there is nothing Beatle-ish you haven't seen someone comes up with somthing as wonderful as this!!!!. Made my day. Where on earth did it come from? Thanks
@johnfmather Amen brother--I thought I had seen it all myself. This one came out of left field. I THINK this was from 1976 when the 4 of them were working on the documentry The Long and Winding Road--which was never finished--and later became the Anthology.
Pathetic how some useless unknowns have to piss all over the memory of lovely people like George in the manner they have in this thread. George would just laugh at it all because he never cared what anyone thought of him.

@Beatlesonlyblog - I really don't understand your post.
Aside from the tantrum you're throwing I can't tell if you
love or hate Ringo. As for George, I'm not saying that he
HURT the Beatles, I'm saying that he wasn't important to
the success. He wasn't the engine that drove this phenom-
enon called the Beatles...he was more like the coffee-cup
holder. I dare say even YOU could have replaced George
with just a little guitar background. I mean, you certainly
couldn't sing WORSE than George!

@kajehgb - "Jealous" of George Harrison? Well,
to be sure I'm envious of John Lennon. I'm in awe
of Beethoven and Mozart but "jealous" of George?
That would be like being jealous of a Cheeseburger
or a potted plant. His "voice" blended well in harmonies
but was never meant for solo work. As for his "talent",
I do not think it was the guitar or writing music. If he
had any talent at all it was in recognizing that he should
hitch his wagon to Lennon and McCartney's rising star.

@lickstickly- I simply don't know where all this
myth making comes from. For the whole of his
life George could never get any respect. Now,
all of a sudden...he's some kind of musical genius?
"Gently Weeps" and "Here Comes The Sun" got
more than a little help from John or Paul or both.
His biggest "hit" turned out to be plagiarized. As for
being a "producer" Monte Python as already a winning
bet except for this particular film was blasphemous.
All they needed was $3 million.

@nonrepublicrat - Well, there's a reason why Georges new
documentary is already forgotten and back in the vault.
Considering it was a Martin Scorsese film this is a painful
rejection of both film maker and its subject. Poor George.
Even his fans are of poor quality. Look at you!

mylifeisemo101 3 months ago
@mylifeisemo101 - Documentaries are big business now
with many having limited theatrical release (big city centers
only). George's film didn't even get "limited" release which
is telling. Part of the problem was the FOUR HOUR format
which drives theater managers and film goers NUTS! Nobody
wants to sit in a chair for FOUR hours unless it's very compelling.
Apparently George isn't. Even Scorsese couldn't save this film
from the obscurity of CABLE TV!
TwoUselessLegs 3 months ago
Poor George! The man stood so close to the gods
for so long, that after a while...he confused himself
for one. In another time and place, George would've
been happy doing something else. Anything but
music...which he struggled with. It did not come easy
to him...but he forced it anyway! Thus, in many ways
becoming a kind of tragic figure in music history.

shaire99 4 months ago
@shaire99 - I love and respect the BEATLES. I cannot
say the same for George. As if to mock you, George's
new documentary skipped theaters entirely and went
straight to cable TV. The death knell for ALL films...there
simply was no market for it otherwise. Even his wife Olivia,
interviewed extensively throughout the 4 hour marathon
turned out to be inarticulate and less than passionate.
Although polite, she came off more as a kindly neighbor
than a loving wife. Now, you were saying?
TwoUselessLegs 4 months ago
@shaire99 -Why must everyone LOVE George in
order to be "intelligent"? This is absurd. George
the man and his music rubbed some people the
wrong way. I can understand some of it, George
often said one thing, then did another. His religion
might have made HIM feel good but not all his fans
appreciated Krishna being shoved down their
collective throats. While he preached the evils of
MATERIALISM let's not forget he lived in a 120-room
exotic mansion. Then, he smoked himself to death.
